I've been training with Wolfgang for nearly 3 months now, and for the first time in my life, I've seen visible and measurable gains. Wolfgang understood my goals and made a workout plan, and it immediately proved effective - We've been tracking my metrics every month, and there's a consistent positive trend in weight and muscle mass gain.

Historically, I'm prone to making mistakes (incorrect technique) leading to injury - Wolfgang helped me use the right techniques every session and pays close attention, and also customizes the workout plan based on how I feel after each exercise so that it's doable and stretches me a little bit, but still within my reach.

Overall, I feel really good, motivated, and confident, and I'd definitely recommend Transform 180 and Wolfgang for any one who's looking to sign up for personal training.

Javon has been my trainer for over a year now. He has consistently been encouraging, positive, and helpful for me on my fitness journey. I’ve learned sooo much about strength training, proper form, and how to work with my body and not against it/ how to make modifications to make something work for me and continue getting stronger! I even had a pretty severe ankle sprain this year and he modified my workouts for recovery. The gym community has felt like a safe and uplifting space.

Transform 180 in Belltown is a great gym. I visited while traveling and got a week pass, and it turned out to be an excellent spot for daily workouts. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the gym had pretty much all the equipment you’d need to train any part of the body.

The parking validation for one hour is a nice touch, especially for a downtown location. My only suggestion would be to extend it to an hour and a half or two. That would make it easier to take your time or grab a shower after a workout without worrying about the meter.

Overall, a solid gym experience. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

I’ve been going to this gym for three months now, and I’m honestly impressed. It’s a brand-new setup, so everything feels fresh. The equipment is all top-notch, and it’s clear they’ve invested in quality gear. Whether you’re doing strength training, cardio, or stretching, they’ve got everything you need, and it’s all new and well-maintained.

I recently visited Transform 180 in Belltown and was really impressed. The gym had all the equipment I wanted and needed, plus a few surprisingly effective machines I’d never tried before. The space is well-set up, clean, and makes it easy to get a complete workout in without feeling crowded.

After just one visit, I’m already convinced this could be my new home gym. The variety, the quality of equipment, and the overall experience stood out to me right away. I can definitely see myself making the switch here in the near future.

I joined Transform 180 last month and couldn’t be happier with the experience in Madison Park. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the facility has a small intimate feel, but also has everything you need without feeling overcrowded. They have everything from full squat racks to quality dumbbells and machines with clean locker rooms and sauna. I tend to work out early, but parking is always available and free right out front as well!

I bought a one day pass to give the gym a try, and it went great! The person at the front desk was very nice and patient with all of my questions. They have most gym equipment that I know of, and all that I was looking for. Everything looked clean and didn’t see any equipment that was broken or even scuffed, after doing a few rounds of the place. The price is also reasonable considering 24/7 access with no monthly or weekly limits on visits relative to neighboring gyms. Would definitely recommend.

I've worked with Wolfgang for over a year and he's easily the best trainer I've ever had. I need to modify a lot due to past injuries - his experience and expertise allows him to immediately make adjustments, ensuring I still get an effective, safe workout. He pushes me when he knows I can do more, but is very aware and respectful of my limits. He is also really lovely to work with - funny, personable, and sincerely interested in my progress. First day I bought the one day pass, I was already hooked to join. While it may be limited on space, the equipment is top tier and they are working on bringing a smith machine. No sauna or pool, not really something I need, but others might want; showers and lockers are included. I like how clean everything is and the organization. So it's been a year after my original review (see at the bottom) and I love this gym. The community there is great and I love that somehow it's never too crowded. I've been getting great progress in my fitness journey and that's in great part thanks to what this gym offers. Highly recommend!

Old review: I quickly visited the gym with a day pass to check it out, as I'm soon going to be moving to that area and everything looked good. It's definitely smaller than the SLU location, but the selection of equipment looked good. I'll be able to provide more feedback next month once I start going there 5x/week, but I'm optimistic.

Training at transform 180 has been something I always look forward to. My trainer was Javon, who helped me strategize plans for my personal goals. Some of them being, able to do push ups or recovering from a sprained ankle, addressing tension in the shoulders and neck while exercising. Additionally, He helped identify weaker muscle groups when training with recommendations. We also discussed healthy nutrition options while training. Working out with Wolfgang has been an absolute blast— Since the first session some 8 months ago Wolfgang somehow has managed to make sweating, grunting, and questioning my life choices fun.
He has this magical mix of energy, humor, and Jedi-level knowledge that keeps me coming back for more (even when my muscles are crying). I have been working out for a very long time and I am very active - and he literally opened new fitness doors for me I did not know existed.

What sets Wolfgang apart (from other trainers I had at various gyms before) is that he not only guides you through effective workouts but also educates you on the “why” behind each exercise.

What I love most about Wolfgang is how much he genuinely cares about your progress. He is like a cheerleader, drill sergeant, and bestie rolled into one. He has this uncanny ability to get you to do the extra rep or superset that actually will unlock that much more progress, but also knows exactly when to slow down and not do that extra rep.

If you want a trainer who will make you laugh, cheer you on, and leave you feeling like you can be the best version of yourself, he is the one. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you about their “what about we superset this” sneak attacks—he is relentless, but you’ll thank him later. Probably. Maybe. Definitely.

I have been a member of 5 different gyms throughout Seattle since moving out here in 2016 and this is my favorite thus far. I believe Transform 180 are the best gyms south of The Cut. I joined for the open gym use, so I can't speak for the personal training but if you are looking for a basic gym membership that gives you access to any and all equipment you could ever need for weight training and/or cardio, this is the place to be. I will say there are a couple of quality gyms that are $30-$40 cheaper south of the cut, but if you are looking for something anywhere in the vicinity of downtown, this is the spot. Your extra $30-$40 per month, however, will buy you access to the best/newest/top of the line equipment and super clean facilities that don't come with the cheaper gyms. I have tried both the Belltown and SLU locations. The equipment is on par at both, although the SLU gym has a lot more to offer and a lot more space, so if you are someone who needs personal space while training, I would recommend the SLU location. They are pretty close to each other. The SLU location has a great atmosphere, and feels like one of those fancy gyms you see fitness influencers training BUT without feeling pretentious. I have only just started training here but I look forward to making it my long term gym as long as I am in the area.

I always enjoy using your gym. I’ve used that gym for years under different names and ownership. I no longer live full time in Seattle however visit occasionally for a few days each month but normally just short of a consistent full week. I’d appreciate a program that offers say a 10 visit pass that each day I’d use the gym one visit would be deducted similar to a punch card until all visits have been utilized. I’m not from the area, so I was looking for a more private gym that offered great equipment and not too busy. Found this place and absolutely loved it. Been a few times to the Belltown location and find you can comfortably workout (or might have the gym all to yourself) considering this is a smaller location. I’ve met a few of the staff now and they’re all super friendly and welcoming. Nothing but good experiences since I’ve started going. Nice gym! I did a one day guest pass on Sunday and experienced some glitches but staff responded quickly through text messages. Location is just by space needle and hyatt regency, which is good. Wide selection of weights, not a lot of machines but adequate for travel-training. However, the weight of dual cable pully is just labeled 1-8, not in lbs but that’s probably the only drawback here.

I’m not local to Seattle but travel there for work often. Whenever I stay downtown, I always hit up Transform 180’s SLU location for my workouts. Love that the gym is 24/7 and lets me enter using an app on my phone at 4am. I started training with Wolfgang about 9 months ago. After two rounds of physical therapy in two years for back and neck pain from being sedentary, I realized I needed to invest in my health and get stronger so that I could get out of the cycle of pain and enjoy life.

Prior to starting training at Transform 180, I had never picked up a barbell and generally did not enjoy strength training or train consistently. After 9 months, I love strength training and most importantly have gotten stronger and majorly reduced the pain that sent me to physical therapy in the first place.

Seeing my progress in strength training also gave me the confidence and motivation to eat healthier (have to fuel those workouts!) and challenge myself in my running and hiking outside of the gym. I have been training with James Jensen at the Belltown location for approximately nine months and have had a great experience so far. James is an excellent personal trainer: he is extremely attentive during workouts, provides helpful feedback and suggestions to improve form, comes up with new and well thought out routines to keep things interesting, and pushes me to work hard without compromising safety.

I have never enjoyed exercising and historically quit after two or three months, but working with James has motivated me for the first time, as his energy and cheerfulness make it much easier to show up and get through the sessions and I can feel I’ve become noticeably stronger. James is also very knowledgeable about muscle anatomy: thanks to the exercise plan he tailored for me I was able to significantly reduce longstanding upper back and shoulder pain. Beyond that, James always goes the extra mile by preparing personalized exercise routines for me when I’m on vacation or not coming in the gym, and is extremely flexible and accommodating when it comes to schedule changes.

The equipment is great, and a good variety so you’ll never get bored. But the best part of the gym is the trainers. My trainer Rachel challenges me, encourages me, and keeps me motivated to do more. The few times I had a substitute, the fill-ins were great too.

Facility, Belltown:
This location is small, but for the size it has a very well selected assortment. Full dumbbell and kettlebell range, two power racks, Smith machine, and a basic but complete set of machines (1-2 per body part). The environment is very pleasant and doesn't feel cramped. This is my primary location.

Facility, SLU:
A huge space with several power racks, full set of dumbbell/kettlebell, and not only a basic core set of machines but many "advanced" machines/apparatus (e.g. GHD, belt squat, and more). Additional, there's a sled and a long track to to pulls/pushes. This is a first-class facility and a great place to work out.

Staff and overall business experience:
The owner is very personable, responsive, and accommodating. It is a pleasure being a customer to this business and heartily recommend it to anyone who is driven to accomplish their fitness goals.

First off, I'm super intimidated of gyms, but I've been determined to get myself back into some shape other than round. I tried the introductory package and after a couple of sessions my anxiety of this place wore off and I felt comfortable signing up for regular training.

Wolfgang was the first connection I had with the gym here and we really hit it off well. I've had poor experience with other trainers in the past, but his bespoke approach was super kind. He knows just when and how to push so that every minute is maximized and knows when to adapt workouts so that I don't feel overwhelmed or burnt out (still exhausted though!).He's really helped me to rebuild my relationship with the gym and build a more sustainable workout routine for myself that I hope to carry on for longer.

I tried the open gym membership at the Belltown location. I find it a very very average gym. There is no AC or air ventilation. With the high temperatures and humidity from the accumulation of body heat, sweat and lack of fresh air, the place made me feel nauseous and stuffy giving me no motivation to exercise. The variety of equipment is also very limited & not maintained well. Some were even rusty and not usable. Their sign up process is not straightforward either.

My initial motivation for joining Transform180 was strength training and weightlifting. I made consistent progress with Javon, improving my form and more than doubling my squat and bench press in about 7 months. His workouts covered a variety of exercises for all major muscle groups, including upper body, lower body, and core. While following a structured program, Javon also added in boxing and HIIT-style workouts occasionally, which made things fun and exciting. Javon was always mindful of any issues I had and adjusted the workout accordingly. He also provided valuable guidance on nutrition. Overall, my training experience with Javon was extremely positive. Great gym for day pass!

I was in town for one day, so was looking for a gym with a day pass option. It was hard to find, and even harder to find one that would contact me back. Fortunately, I found Transform 180 and they hooked me up with one days notice at a great price. Another great thing is that it was a 24x7 facility that I was able to get into very early (another thing that no other gym could help me with)

The gym was very well equipped with strength training equipment and some conditioning equipment (including C2 rower & Rogue echo bike). A good mix of machines, Rouge racks, and barbells -- all in great shape. They don't have a ton of cardio if that is all you are looking for, but if so you're probably better off sticking to a hotel gym anyway if that is all you want.

After gaining weight from working from home the past 2 years, I decided to sign up for a personal trainer. First, because I hate going to the gym and second, I didn’t know the most effective way to work out. After looking online, I decided to take the plunge to invest in a Personal Trainer. Ended up doing a trial run at transform 180 and the rest is history. She really cares about my goals and me as a person, routinely checks in after workouts to see how I'm feeling, and puts together excellent workouts that ramp up the difficulty exactly when I need it. James has a more knowledge-based styled and my friend and I really enjoyed getting to know the theories behind the workouts and nutritions etc. He is also a pretty fun person who can be pushy at times (as coaches need to be!) but in a understanding and encouraging way! He respects that people have different starting point and different goals and is attentive to what we actually needs in training.
Rachel on the other hand has a detailed plan and uses the strategy of “you don’t need to know how much weight that is until you are done because I’ve been monitoring and I know you can do it” to push me to achieve weight training goals that I would not have thought I can achieve. With her help, I’ve come to appreciate the potential in my body when I trust it and commit the hard work. I would totally recommend them both to everyone, especially those who want a solid foundation of scientific training and overall health and strength.

The Trainer: I've been training with Emery 3 times/week since I arrived in Seattle back in September 2021, trying to lose the kilos gained throughout lockdowns. I was feeling nervous about training again but quickly put at ease by his fun and friendly personality. The workouts Emery puts together strike the right balance of being really challenging but not so much that I don't want to come back and he quickly learnt what exercises I find fun. I really enjoy training with Emery, the workouts are great but almost as important- the conversation is always interesting.

The Gym: It's a well equipped weights gym with a couple of cardio machines to get you warmed up, kept clean and never too busy that you cant get your workout done in peace. The owner is often in the gym also and always remembers my name, which is a nice friendly touch.

Value for money: I opted for the 30/sessions package and it's struggle to find a personal trainer for that kind of price, so in my opinion this is great value, particularly if you find a trainer you enjoy working out with.

Overall, great experience and happy to be training at Transform 180 with Emery- I highly recommend.

I've been working out at Transform 180 since 6 months and I find this gym to be amazing! Reading all the 5 star reviews before joining made me feel like it was almost too good to be true but it is infact true. I've worked with both Ivana and Kelsey and they adapted to my limitations and adopted a functional approach with lots of pilates and yoga movements apart from just strength training with free weights. I have benefited a lot mentally and physically from the training regimen I followed here.
The trainers communicate regularly and are open to answering questions about diet and nutrition. What I additionally really love is the monthly body scan which made it possible to see progress with hard numbers. Having no contracts is just icing on the cake :) highly recommend to anyone especially those starting out for the first time at this judgement free, well equipped gym!

I’ve been doing personal training for the past 2 months with Emery and so far it’s been a really great experience! Emery seems quite knowledgeable and has been very helpful in answering all of my questions, since it’s my first time actually going to the gym.

I appreciate that he explains where I am supposed to feel it for each exercise, and if I’m not feeling it in the right muscles, adjusting the weight or tweaking the exercise until I do. It makes me confident that I’m not just working out for the sake of it but that I’m doing it properly, which I feel like I wouldn’t get on my own.

He’s helped me learn a lot about the basics, not just proper form but also why we do certain things. Since I hope to one day not be reliant on someone telling me what to do, it’s quite important to me to learn how to be self sufficient.

I don’t like every exercise that we do, but I think it’s great that Emery exposes me to a variety of exercises and works together with me to create a workout plan that I enjoy doing in the end.

If you’re considering personal training, I would suggest doing the discounted sessions and asking a bunch of questions.

I have been training at Transform 180 training with Emery for over a month now. My goal is to learn to perform strength training exercises with the right form, and Emery is perfect! He has super awesome knowledge about different exercises and gives variations that are easy to perform yet challenge me to go through all the sets. And he makes a note of the weights I am comfortable in and encourages to progressively overload. He also gave good nutritional information. I already have started seeing results.

We have been training here with Emery three times a week for about two months. We’re not the most motivated for working out and sometimes when we get into the gym we might not be in the best headspace but when Emery starts leading us through the workout for the day, the time flies by as we struggle through the workout. Emery gives a great variety of workouts varying between functional training and more bodybuilding style exercises. His enthusiasm is great and so far he’s helped us toward the results we are looking for.

The gym generally is very convenient, it’s usually not too hard to find parking right nearby and the gym has the right amount of space for the number of people working out. Overall Transform180 has been a really good experience.

Really great all round experience! I was temporarily living in Seattle for a few weeks and decided to get a personal trainer during that time since I could not run due to an injury. I hIGHLY recommend Emery. I did the 3 beginner training session with him and he was incredibly supportive, well informed and really fun to talk to. He explained each workout, where I was supposed to feel it, frequently checked, and adjusted based on how much I struggled or didn’t with each exercise. I have been training with Daniel Lopez at Transform 180 SLU for 6 weeks now and have had an amazing experience. Starting with the training facility itself, the covid related safety protocols, equipment type and overall vibe is something that makes me want to train every single day. My coach Daniel is a rockstar. What stands out is his professional attitude, deep knowledge of power lifting and commitment to the client. I have been pleasantly surprised by the results I have seen in six weeks where I am almost lifting 1.5X of my body weight on bench and squat and the corresponding gain in muscle mass and reduction in fat.
