Awesome facility, just wish they had some sort of pool. Doesn't take away anything from how awesome the facility actually is.

This Y is fricken awesome good people and friendly staff here. Emerson & Mack were fricken great and the helped me become a Nation Wide Y member today:) When I didnβt know where something was they were both kind and communicative easy to talk to and they really got some great staff @ this facility. Emerson really goes that extra mile with attention to detail and even helped find other cool YMCAβs in the area love this place. These good people Iβll be backππβΊοΈβ€οΈβπ₯β¨βοΈI really like the energy hereβ€οΈ

Amanda is a very professional and caring customer service rep. She helped me resolve my account and handle my membership efficiently and was much more informed than who I spoke with previously

I love the University District and Meredith Matthews locations!! Itβs not too crowded so you donβt have to wait around to use the equipment. The classes are led by great instructors who are knowledgeable and willing to answer your individual questions. A big selling point for me (and Iβm sure others) is that ANYONE can feel comfortable working out here. For one thing, you donβt have to be fit to feel like you belong here (although I see super fit people here too). Another plus - the staff are friendly and very accommodating! Highly recommend!

I cannot rave about this place enough! The staff is unlike any YMCA I have ever been to. You want staff? You get a FAMILY! They are so willing to help out and give assistance and sometimes even do it without asking. The equipment is top of the line and the group classes are so fun! Not only are they fun, but they are structured in a way where you are still getting an incredible workout. I would give my left arm for this gym. It is a bright light in the overcasted and cloudy Seattle. Look no further because this place is the place you've been looking for. They also offer financial assistance for prices!

Apart from the facility itself being mediocre, they incorrectly charged my credit card even though I had explicitly asked the clerk at the front desk to pay on a monthly basis. There isn't even an easy way to cancel your subscription online. This seems highly disingenuous, if not a bit of a scam to do this. I have been forced to pay for 4 months as a result.

Been going here for about 2 years now. They have so many extra amenities I never get bored. They also recently just upgraded all of their gym equipment which before was my only complaint. Amazing gym especially if you have a family and get on that family membership.

The gym has what you need, but it's extremely crowded. Sometimes all of the weight machines and weights are full on weekday afternoons / evenings.
Hygiene standards can degrade when the gym fills up (weights are often sticky); lack of air circulation in the basement weight room coupled with a few members who refuse to wear deodorant makes for a sometimes rank environment to lift. It appears that some members like to work in a hot environment and mess with the fan settings to give you the full sauna weight lifting experience...

I use the basic workout and post workout areas in the YMCA they have shown me in improvement in my health and plan to use the resources in depth here at the University YMCA and can suggest to go there because its fun and a social place to go workout. Thanks for reading E.A.G.G.

Insufficient parking, homeless people sleeping on their front door So that you literally have to step over them to get inside, only you canβt because the smell makes you want to vomit, much less get close enough to pass by.

Beware that they automatically renew your membership unless you submit a written cancellation request 30 days prior to the time you want the membership to terminate. I never saw this clause so I lost $100 in membership fees before realizing it, which is a lot of money for a college student. Seems like a predatory practice to be honest.

This "Y" is centrally located to the University District. It has lots of aerobic type classes and people seem to like these. I don't recommend weight lifting here. The ceilings are too low for a meaningful experience.

Seems like a pretty good place for me, so far. A basic gym with lots of machines and programs. Have to clean anything you touch & sweat upon, as the staff won't be doing it. Really wish they'll get water filters for the showers soon -- I don't going to work on my health somewhere then have to shower with chlorinated/fluoridated/toxicated water. Dry sauna is small and gets crowded and too humid, but at least they have one. The crowd is a broad spectrum of people -- not intimidating.

The tag should be at the corner of 12th and NE 50th and the owner of this Gmap needs to fix it since editing is locked except to owner of map.
