About the Club

Beautiful, specialized, boutique Pilates studio in Edmonds. Personalized sessions are taught to increase clients' strength, flexibility, mobility, and alignment in a small, personal home-based studio. Pilates is wonderful for people of all ages, bodies, and abilities and helps with back pain, neck & shoulder pain, and challenges in all areas of the body.

I can’t say enough good things about Jenny Urban of Urban Pilates. She is truly exceptional—one of those rare instructors who not only understands Pilates deeply but also understands women’s bodies on a whole other level. She has an amazing ability to assess what your body specifically needs and fine-tunes her instruction accordingly.

Her cues are incredibly helpful—clear, precise, and easy to connect with. She describes movements in a way that helps you actually understand how to engage the right muscles and move with intention. I’ve noticed a huge difference in how I move and feel, thanks to her thoughtful approach.

There have been several times where I’ve come in with a pain or tightness in my body, and Jenny has known exactly what was causing it and how to work on it. And if she doesn’t know right away, she checks in with her Pilates mentor until she gets to the bottom of it—she’s that dedicated. One time, when we got snowed in and I couldn’t make it to the studio, my mom joined me for a virtual mat Pilates session at home. It was her first time meeting Jenny, and we were both so impressed—even over Zoom, Jenny was able to observe my mom’s movements and give her personalized suggestions to improve her posture and balance. She truly has a gift.

Jenny is also constantly learning and evolving her practice, which shows in the way she teaches—there’s always something new or insightful in each session. On top of all that, her warm personality makes every visit to her studio such a joy. It’s a beautiful, clean, and welcoming space where I feel totally comfortable and cared for.

Jenny is the best! This is my first experience with Pilates and it has really been positive. Jenny pays very close attention to make sure the exercise is being done correctly. She gets to know your body and all its quirks to design a personalized approach to making you stronger and more flexible. I’m really enjoying the workouts!

I cannot recommend Jenny enough! Her Pilates classes are absolutely fantastic. From the moment you step into the studio, her welcoming and positive energy sets the tone for an incredible workout.

She listened intentionally, watched how my body responds and understood ways to adjust to get the most benefit of Pilates that’s best for me. I love working with Jenny at Urban Pilates so much! She is always ready to meet me where I am at when I walk in the door. Jenny always has a well thought out work out plan for the day but is quick to pivot if my neck (which is my weak spot) is having a bad day. I really appreciate how she takes extra care to make sure that I am doing moves correctly and appreciate the gentle posture correction reminders. Urban Pilates has become a regular part of my weekly routine.

I was pretty new to Pilates when I met Jenny. I have been working with her for almost five months now, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She is detail oriented, extremely reliable and so good at what she does. She watches every movement I make and helps me maintain proper form so I use the right muscles and don’t hurt myself. She also adjusts my workouts to really focus on what I need for core strength, flexibility and balance. I’d so glad I made this investment in myself and I would 100% recommend Jenny to help anyone of any age or fitness level. You will love her.

I hurt my back and was in a lot of pain this last summer. I was unable to drive etc... I had done a few sessions with Jenny and she continued working with me online (zoom video call) while lying on my back. Once I was well enough to drive I went back to her studio and continued developing many of the same exercises with the benefit of the Pilates equipment.
I am back to hiking, swimming and even moving boxes with confidence. I continue to get stronger every week. Jenny has the patience and clarity to explain subtle differences in how each exercise is done and finds ways to move that accommodates any discomfort. Apart from being attentive, empathetic, open hearted and generous she's adaptable in how much to talk/instruct vs listen/observe and comes prepared to each session with ideas of what to work on and how to continually improve. I can't recommend Jenny highly enough.

Jenny is hands down the most phenomenal Pilates coach/mentor/instructor I’ve ever had. Her home studio is filled with natural light, always impeccably spotless and has all the modern equipment needed for a fantastic workout. What makes Jenny truly unique is her attention to detail and knowledge of the body and how things work (or in my case, don’t.. yet).
