We’ve trialed a number of TKD schools and from the first trial class at US Martial Arts Center it was an amazing fit! The communication and professionalism of ALL the staff is absolutely top notch! The expectations are clear and consistent for the students and parents. I love that everyone in the building shows respect (salutes and bowing) before and after classes! The instructors and masters are just amazing with the little kids!! And it’s phenomenal how they can shift quickly and be more practical and stern with the older students. Love the USMAC family!!!!

8h grader: When I first joined USMAC I had just moved to Washington, going into 4th grade and I was an unconfident and unsporty kid. Then as time went on, USMAC began to affect my life outside of taekwondo class. I began to become more confident and physically stronger. However, at one point I wanted to quit, but Master Jason met with me and gave me a powerful pep talk. Since then, I'm preparing for my black belt in December and I'm learning in his leadership team. USMAC has been so amazing and teaches much more than just taekwondo.

7th grader: I have been at USMAC for almost four years. I am an advanced red belt. I have gotten more confident and stronger. TKD greatly improves your flexibility and strength.

USMAC is a great place and TKD teaches you skills that are important and will help you become more self confident. The instructors are great teachers and they will teach you discipline.

3rd grader: USMAC is very good and teaches me self- confidence and how to defend myself. I Love USMAC. It improves strength, discipline and confidence. I like sparing a lot. It's really fun and is a good work out!

Our family is so proud to be a part of USMAC. My husband and three children all train together. It's incredible that it is so family oriented that each class caters to every age. Doing TKD together has brought our family closer together.

Since coming to USMAC, I have seen an increase in my children's confidence, skills, and flexibility. In addition, this school not only teaches the physical aspects of taekwondo but the culture and values. They instill values by having "Home Rules" of respect and encourage them to become leaders.

This is evident by the leadership of every instructor and master. They are absolutely incredible! You can sense their care, great skills, and training.

We stumble across USMAC (our previous karate place closed down) what a gem we found! Our 3 kiddos love USMAC Taekwondo! The instructors are patient, supportive, and you can just tell they love what they do. My kids cant wait for Taekwondo days, we picked the twice a week package. I havent found anywhere that creates such a positive environment for my kids like USMAS does. From being greeted as soon as we walk in, to them sitting down with the kids sharing life lessons. The structure that they offer and how all kids accept it is amazing. I can see how much confidence my kids have, and we have only been attending for a month. If you are interested, I would highly recommend giving USMAC a try. I'm sure you'll be happy you did. I know we are!

The part that I like the most is after the full group work out, they divide the group into smaller age/skill appropriate groups to work on things they need to advance. I appreciate their firm but fair approach. Other centers can be a little hard on the kids. Recommend if you’re interested in martial arts!

USMAC surprised myself and my family. I was ver skeptical about martial art classes in the area but they really changed my mind. Our son has also benefited greatly from Master Chase, outstanding instructor, Master Angie, and Master Lee.

USMAC provides structure, leadership, physical fitness and you will see that overtime. I can see the positive energy they bring to the students who will one day be part of the local community and beyond.

EDIT: I can assure you my eyes are glued at my child at all times! And I can assure you not a single staff member had eyes on him at that moment! And I am pretty sure each parent is watching their own child. So the fact that you have claims from staff and parents are highly doubtful! Also the convenience of the camera not quite covering the right angle. You can cover your back all you want! But the old man needs some education about neuro-diverse kids and the way to approach them if your facility gladly accepts their applications!

Not friendly for kids with Autism!

I am very disappointed with this organization and their staff! I have a 5 yo autistic boy, he is high-functioning however he still has his moments. During the trial staff was constantly reassuring me that they are comfortable with his disability, that they know what they are doing, urging me to stop worrying, and that everything is great (as I was concerned that he might be too distracting to the class, and if they agree I’d rather not buy the uniform and pay registration and a month upfront). Once the trial was over and we signed up for classes, the instructors were paying less and less attention to my son. Today the GRANDMASTER Lee grabbed my 5yo by the arm, yanked and threw him to the ground while screaming and slapping leather paddles against the wall, right above my son’s head!!! Poor boy just curled-up on the floor and started crying…. Since when is it
acceptable to put hands on little kids with disabilities?!?!?!

Especially after so many promises that everything is great?!
I am appalled and disgusted!!

Where do I begin. My family has been with USMAC for a little over 10 years now. We wanted a facility that taught respect, discipline, confidence, and self-defense. Our biggest draw to USMAC was the family aspect (Grandmaster Lee and his children are the ones actually teaching). As our kids started on their TKD journey we really loved how USMAC taught in the traditional Korean way. Grandmaster Lee's passion for TKD shows in the way he teaches. He treats everyone equally and it shows by the way new students (white belts) get corrected in the same tone and manner as 5,6, and 7 year veteran Black Belts do. You weren't handed your achievements, you had to earn them at USMAC. Our kids made some amazing friends along the way, while all received their Black Belts.

They also host several tournaments throughout the year (COVID prevented them in 2020) and we love to volunteer at these tournaments to see the amazing talent that travels from neighboring states and even Canada to compete. Their tournaments are some of the highest attending ones in the state with upwards or 600 competitors. Being that respecting amongst your peers take years of continued improvement and with 30+ years in the Olympia/Lacey community USMAC is hands down the best martial arts school you will find.
