This wonderful little studio has been life altering! All the little feel good signs on the walls truly represent the cozy atmosphere where everyone is welcome. The instructors are so very kind, open and inclusive. They each have different styles, background and expertise, which I love because the clients receive the benefit of a great variety of classes. Each time I go in, I feel like I do or learn something new (and I’ve been going for almost a year!)
My journey started after a year of physical therapy for my various aches and pains. My PT recommended I contact Jenny (studio owner extraordinaire) and work on building strength. Being overweight and not athletically inclined my entire life, I very reluctantly took this step in a desperate attempt to better my physical health. I did not really know or understand anything about Pilates and was rather intimidated and anxious. Little did I know that I would find my “home” here, in improving my physical health but also my mental and emotional health and bonus: build genuine friendships with like-minded people.
Jenny paired me with the absolute best 1:1 instructor for private lessons to start my intro to Pilates. Ellie listened to my needs and designed each session focused on my goals and made modifications as we realized my limitations. Even when I didn’t know what I wanted or needed, I relied on her expertise and she consistently knew exactly the right thing. I left every single session feeling encouraged and accomplished. Through her instruction and encouragement, my confidence grew and I began taking classes.
The classes are small (maximum of 5 students) and allow the instructors to work closely with each individual, helping with form and offering tips to get more out of each exercise, or modifying for individual needs. Classes range from beginner to intermediate and advanced, and include reformer as well as tower & mat. Even within each level, instructors often offer progressions and modifications so that each individual can choose to do what’s best for them and their body on any given day.
I just can not believe I have found this joyful, kind, inclusive and open to all abilities studio. In the course of the last year, I have gone from once a week to 2-3x a week and now attend 5-6x a week. I am far stronger and happier and have gained tremendous confidence.
I am certain my experience would not have been remotely the same at a different studio. There is a sense of belonging here. Doing Pilates at this studio has become a feel good obsession. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Jenny, Ellie, Susan, Melanie, Becca, Jordana and team have created a hidden gem of a Pilates studio here in west Seattle.

I've been taking private lessons from Jenny at West Seattle Pilates for over 9 months now, and I can't express enough how transformative this experience has been for me. From the very first session, Jenny's expertise and personalized approach made a significant impact on my fitness journey.
Not only have I slimmed down noticeably, but more importantly, I feel incredibly healthy, strong, and happy. Jenny's guidance has been instrumental in improving my overall well-being. Each session is tailored to my specific needs and goals, ensuring that I am continually challenged and motivated.
Jenny's dedication to her clients is evident in every class. She pays close attention to form and technique, making sure that I perform each exercise correctly and safely. Her positive and encouraging attitude creates a welcoming and supportive environment, making every session something I genuinely look forward to.
If you're considering starting Pilates or looking to take your practice to the next level, I highly recommend West Seattle Pilates. Favorite pilates studio hands down! Truly a judgement free space, welcoming to all, any ability level can be accommodated. All the instructors are so compassionate and knowledgeable, they truly meet you where you are, offer alternative movements based on your body, and correct form as if it were a personal session. Classes are small, instructions are clear, vibes are immaculate. I’m hesitant to share because I don’t want her to get booked out, but Susan is by far my favorite instructor and she deserves her props!

I have not exercised regularly in perhaps 30 years. I’ve gone through periods of time of being an avid walker, and I did enjoy yoga for a while, but exercise is 100% not my thing, and I will go so far as to say, I’ve spent my entire adult life hating it.
Several close friends had recommended I give Pilates a try, and a friend in Colorado suggested Club Pilates. At the time, the closest one was about 8 miles away, and there was no way that was going to happen. Then, in January, Club Pilates opened in West Seattle, so I gave it a try. To say that I am obsessed would be a gross understatement. Since joining, I have been to Pilates many more days than I have not. And I have fallen in love. The owner, Tina, has created a beautiful and supportive environment. From the welcoming staff when you walk in the door to the incredibly talented and well trained instructors, this feels like a community where it is safe to learn and to grow. The other patrons have been equally lovely, supportive, and encouraging.
To say that I was anxious and nervous to begin this In no way can sum up the terror, fear, and body shame, that I have felt for most of my adult life. I was dreading it, but also recognize the importance of becoming more fit and healthy In my 50s, The fact that just over a month in, I am in love with this exercise, feel better about my body, and know that I am getting stronger every day, feels like a miracle. My joints feel better, and the discomfort that I had been experiencing in my body for the last 10 years has almost completely gone away. I, and everyone who knows me well, am shocked by my mental and emotional transformation around exercise. I feel incredibly grateful and excited about every workout every day. It’s been life-changing and I’m so very pleased that I gave it a shot. Everyone should. If a devoted, anti-exerciser, like me can fall in love with reformer Pilates at the West Seattle, Club Pilates, so can you. Join us! It’s amazing!

I can't recommend West Seattle Pilates enough! After facing challenging postpartum issues following my first birth, their classes made a significant difference. My pelvic floor and hip issues improved, making me stronger and fitter. During my second pregnancy, I continued classes 3-4 times a week until the last week, resulting in a smoother pregnancy and labor. Grateful for the support and positive impact on my overall well-being!

Reformer classes with Susan are wonderful! She changes it up from class to class, and is always takes your body limits into consideration. I own a reformer at home, but I feel I get the motivation and accountability by attending classes. It is truly a full body workout each class!

Great studio in a clean, new space and very welcoming to beginners! I am just starting my Pilates journey and Jenny could not be a more kind, patient and knowledgeable instructor. After years of working out at big box gyms, I was looking for new ways to move my body and get out of my old routines. I really enjoy the small class sizes (max 4), friendly and non-intimidating vibe at West Seattle Pilates. It feels great to do something healthy for my mind and body while also supporting a local female-owned business. Give it a try!

I started Pilates reluctantly about a year ago due to a bad knee and some other ailments. After sticking with it I am very happy with how my body feels: almost zero pain and stronger.! Highly recommend one on one sessions with Jen of WSP. She rocks. Let the dogs out!!!!

I have been taking Pilates classes here for about 5 months now. Jenny is wonderful and I appreciate her teaching technique. Her classes are the perfect balance and I feel/see the results. I take classes about 3 times a week. Classes are small and Jenny provides such a comfortable atmosphere where I leave feeling more grounded and at peace (while still breaking a sweat!) Thank you Jenny!!!

Love this studio! Jenny is an amazing instructor and very in tune with her clients. I've taken the Circuit Mat and Mat/Props classes and both are a great workout. I like that each class has been slightly different which offers variety and keeps things fresh. I also appreciate the small class sizes, everyone gets a little more personalized attention that way. Jenny is super easy to talk to and I look forward to her classes each week.
