As a person with hypermobile joints and chronic pain, I was always recommended to try pilates but felt super intimidated! I chose this studio after reaching out to a few studios to find an instructor who had experience with my specific needs and ended up starting privates with Kristen. That was a year ago and I can't even believe how much my body (and mind!) has benefitted from pilates! I'm so much stronger and my joints are so much happier. Kristen is an amazing instructor who strikes the perfect balance of pushing me to try new things that challenge my limits, while making sure I'm not overdoing it or sacrificing form.

The classes are also incredible, and I LOVE that they're limited to 4 people so I always feel like I have support if I need it. Every instructor I've taken a class with has been so lovely and they each have different styles. Karla has really created a beautiful community of welcoming, talented people who are happy to share their wealth of knowledge. Very grateful to have found Woodway Wellness!!

I started out taking the Intro private lessons in October 2022 and have been taking classes here weekly ever since! I feel so supported by everybody here and I've gotten stronger and my aches & pains are greatly dimminished. The studio is beautiful and has become my happy place. Old or young, in shape or not, pilates is for everybody and will improve your quality of life; I guarantee it. Extra shout out to Lisa and Karla (owner) for making Woodway Wellness so special.

I was sent to Pilates by my physical therapist (specifically STOTT Pilates) and I found Woodway Wellness. I attended my first 1:1 session and I'm liking what I've seen so far. Karla and Grace are both very knowledgeable and I'm excited to see what regular classes can do to help me get stronger and prevent injury.

I started taking Pilates at Woodway Wellness to build my bone density through strengthening my core, and I can't say enough about Karla as an exceptional instructor, coach, and educator! I have not only gained core strength, but my flexibility, balance, and posture has dramatically improved. The classes are always fun, supportive and challenging, and at the same time, they are uniquely designed for each participant, regardless of age or fitness level. I'm so grateful to have discovered Karla and Woodway Wellness!

This is a great little studio. Intimate yet fully equipped, and it’s in downtown Edmonds which is a big plus for me. I came for the leg exercises following an accident, and stayed because Pilates is SO good for my body and well-being in general. I look forward every week to my private sessions with Hali who is fun to work with and quite patient as well. Thanks Woodway Wellness!

Pilates has changed my life! I have been searching for a workout that I couldn't wait to do each week, and Pilates is it! It is such a mindful workout and I truly feel stronger from the inside out. My posture and flexibility have both improved tremendously... And Karla, oh Karla! I cant say enough kind things about the instructor/owner. She is kind, encouraging, and an incredibly knowledgeable instructor.

I've taken several classes from Hali and she is absolutely amazing!! I've been wanting to try pilates for years now but I've always talked myself out of it because of dumb insecurities. Prior to my first class with Hali, the pandemic really got the best of me and it had been over a year since I had worked out, I very reluctantly scheduled my first session and I felt so good after! Hali is so kind and intentional with her words and makes a point to promote body positivity in her practice, she prioritizes health over fitness trends. I especially like that she doesn't encourage my negative self-talk but instead, shifts the conversation to alignment and strength. I never knew pilates could be so fun and not nearly as intimidating as it seems. Hali does a great job thoroughly explaining the movement and which muscle groups should be putting in work, she gently helps to shift alignment to get the best results while reducing tension and pain. It's been a major confidence boost to see my strength and flexibility increase so drastically. Book your sessions immediately, you won't regret it!!

I am so grateful to have found Bodyworks Pilates/Woodway Wellness. Karla is extremely knowledgeable about body mechanics and an excellent instructor, and the studios are beautiful. Doing Pilates with Karla feels like having a spa day!

Love this studio! The space and equipment is new and the owner Karla is amazing! I've been taking private lessons from her and did a group class with Hali and both are wonderful. Love the variety of the equipment and the care and attention they show. Highly recommend!

I am not lying when I say my Thursday Pilates class with Alexis is my favorite workout of the week. I am in my early 40's and have been a competitive athlete all of my life, which has led to injuries and now created limitations with how I can work out. It is hard to explain my Pilates workout since I am so used to dripping sweat with cardio, but Pilates is so different. Your core is engaged the entire time, and your muscles are literally shaking from the repetitive movements with resistance on the reformer. When I miss a week, my body craves this class. It really is THE BEST!!!

I have been taking Pilates classes from Karla for the past 4 months. Karla is knowledgable and kind, her classes are challenging but in all the right ways. She is attentive and incredibly thoughtful in how she teaches. I have seen such a difference in my strength and movement since I started taking classes from her. The studio is a beautiful and calming space, I look forward to class every week!
