Lovely little studio and a rare place to practice the "old school yoga" that is getting harder and harder to find these days. The kind that is not just focused on fitness--but also meditation, breath, mindfulness, and community. Very welcoming atmosphere for yogis of all abilities. If you are still looking for your "yoga home," check out Yoga Sanctuary! You won't regret it :)

Hidden gem. As a monthly-membership cardholder since October, I've loved the classes and other event offerings (like sound baths) at Yoga Sanctuary. The app they use for sign-ups is easy to use as well. When I stopped going over the holidays, I got a really kind check-in email from Dawn that really struck me as genuinely caring... I thought a lot about it as I worked to reprioritize showing up to the mat - which I'm making *some* progress on. :) Others I've met have been so kind and welcoming. It's a great place to decompress with like-minded, kind-spirited people.

I recently started practicing in a studio again, took a couple of years off because of COVID. Definitely found my new home at the Yoga Sanctuary. All of the teachers and the owner are the best. Great place to practice

I joined Yoga Sanctuary in 2021. Coming out of covid the schedule at Edmonds rec center changed & wasn’t compatible w/mine. I haven’t regretted the change. Studio owners Yvette & now Dawn have been great and provide a fantastic yoga vibe. I luv the early AM classes that Dawn has started offering. Our class instructors are awesome as well, always punctual and provide good class structure. Highly recommend.

Love the yoga at this warm and inviting studio...music or not the instructors are engaging and instructive while still allowing students to be innovative and introspective about their practice. As one student said at the end of Caleb's class one evening... "I like your jive."

Incredible space, felt safe and cared for in a peaceful environment surrounded by lovely people. They have a range of difficulties for every different skill or body type, and the instructors and staff are friendly and motivating. Highly recommend taking a class here!

At the end of Sept I took an Intro to Yoga class at this studio. I've been very curious about yoga and what benefits I would receive. I took advantage of the 2 weeks this intro class offered and quickly learned that I was in love. Aside from the strength my body is developing I have had better mental health and overall higher levels of positive emotions. This has become so much more fulfilling than I imagined. All of the instructors are beautiful people with wonderful stories. Each has their own teachings and great stories that come along with them. Dawn, the owner, is super sweet, friendly and quick to reply to emails. Their app is awesome. I sign up for classes, it loads to my calendar. You can sign in on the app or sign-in when you go into the studio. Give it a try-you wont regret it!

I enjoy the 2 classes I took. I took the wrong exit while driving here and so I called and told the lady I would be 3 min late. She said she would tell the teacher. I got here 3 min late and the door was already locked and so I’m just sitting in my car outside crying….i wish she would have just told me to turn around and go home when I called so I didn’t waste the next 20 min driving to a locked door. I drove 45 min to get here, to be turned away even when they said they would let me in. That is a bummer. I’m not sure I’ll be back after this.

This place is very lovely and I love the community of people who go there. They have a wide variety of classes, but I find that even Gentle and Hatha tend to be pretty intense and difficult, even with modifications. I enjoy Kundalini with Aspen the most, and the restorative/yin classes are very nice as well. It's expensive, but the vibes are very lovely and it feels very refreshing and relaxing to go there, been helping a lot with my seasonal depression and anxiety.

The name of this studio could says it all. This is a home away from home for me when I travel to the area to visit family - a really connected community vibe. Dawn the owner is such a generous and warm soul! It is not uncommon for me to have such deep shifts after classes with Yvette and Yoon. This studio offers the true meaning of yoga - using our bodies to connect to places deep within our beings, and bonus to get to do that surrounded by such a beautiful sangha/family. So grateful!

This studio is one of the loveliest places for yoga I have ever been. I’ve been practicing for 30 years and there is something here for everyone. I very much enjoy Kim’s yin and mfr classes. I have been taking class with Kim for half a decade and she’s built such an amazing community. Always good for some joy and laughter, I love the light, respectful energy she brings to teaching. But really, all of the teachers here are pure magic.
Dawn has made Yoga Sanctuary a true heart sanctuary. I highly recommend all the classes here, I’ve never had a bad experience.

I started coming to Yoga Sanctuary around the beginning of this year and am a huge fan of this studio. I love the focus on the spiritual aspects of yoga & the variety of classes & instructors here. The instructors have literally become my yoga family, all very unique in their styles that I feel like there’s something for everyone. Kim’s MFR class will always be one of my favorites, and Kellie has an amazing Hatha class on Monday nights. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a down to earth, friendly yoga community to practice with. So much gratitude for the people here who make yoga so much more than just a workout. 🙏🏻✨

I am enjoying the classes I have taken at Yoga Sanctuary. I am newer to the studio and I have enjoyed all the classes I have signed up for. I am learning each instructor's style too. A few classes ago I watched two instructors working together to address the hiccup in the music and they solved it! Yin Yoga is a staple of mine to keep me limber and flexible. The instructor uses the timer on her phone to keep track of the length of time we are in a pose and it helps to keep us balanced when we work on both sides of our body. This creates the need to tap on the phone to keep track of the time and reset it. I attend almost every Sunday! It's my favorite class. I am looking forward to this summer when I will have the opportunity to take more morning classes.

I'm delighted by the variety of instructors and warm, safe space provided at the Yoga Sanctuary. I regularly attend 6+ classes per week. The unlimited classes monthly pass is so affordable, I've been encouraging members from my Gym to try yoga as a balance for their yang workouts. I'm more grounded, centered and peaceful for the soothing atmosphere and dedicated community I've met over the months I've been going there. Eternal gratitude!

I just started at this studio in January after a studio I was practicing at closed suddenly. As difficult as it initially was, I feel at home at this studio. It has been very clear that EVERYONE is welcome. Size, color, identification…. All welcome. It’s a cozy space with very friendly staff and fellow students.

I joined Yoga Sanctuary after my last studio closed. I went to a few different studios and none were as wonderful as Yoga Sanctuary. From the second you walk in the door it feels like home. They have a variety of tea in the lobby.
I start my week out Sunday nights at Kimi’s YIN class. A perfect relaxing class. Kimi will always take suggestions or ask if we have any area of our body to focus on.
Monday I attend Kelly’s Hatha class. Kelly is both motivating and challenging. She constantly keeps us smiling with her “you can do it” attitude.
Tuesday is Yoons Vinyasa class. Yoon always has a message of the day before class starts. He will make the class laugh while doing planks.
Wednesday Caleb’s Hatha class. Another amazing teacher and class.
Thursday Jenny’s class. She does a mini soundbath at the end of her class
Anna candlelight restorative on Fridays is the perfect relaxing way to start my weekend. We hold poses for long periods of time. Her voice is so calming as well.
All and all I’m so grateful I found Yoga Sanctuary and my new Yoga family.

I absolutely adore this studio! Dawn has done an amazing job making the space feel safe and welcoming. I’ve been taking Kim’s classes for the past 13 years. I’ve followed her to every studio she’s taught at and plan to do so until she retires. Everyone at the studio has their own unique style of teaching and always makes sure classes are a blast.

Yoga sanctuary has been such a lovely space and has has been so since I first joined 5 months ago. All the teachers are inclusive and welcoming, Kim’s MFR and yin are a weekly event for me! Anna’s restorative, Yoons vinyasa and gentle are to die for. Highly recommend studio!

The location was really lovely and Dawn was so friendly and I don’t know if I just got a weird handful of teachers but it was not at all what I was hoping for. The first class I tried was restorative and mostly enjoyable, the teacher was kind and greeted me. The teachers cues were a bit confusing but I was able to follow and make the class my own for myself. I decided to try another class to see if it resonated better with me. The second class I went to was supposed to be a yin class but was met with a Kermit the frog sing along during frog pose and no greeting from the teacher. The teacher was barely giving any cues and actually just telling us to get into poses. It was not at all a trauma informed space as well and we were actually told to “not feel frustrated”. This teacher seemed very unprofessional choosing the songs as she went with no playlist set up, constantly looking at her watch and even pausing to look at her watch WHILE she was giving us another cue. I find it very important as a white person to respect the practice of yoga and to honor wherever everyone is when they come to the mat and that did not feel like the case with her. I also think it’s important to recognize different teachers teach in different ways, some which may be unfamiliar to me, but it felt more like yoga whitewashing than just a different way of teaching. I feel sad to leave such a bad review at a small yoga studio but I cannot believe these classes are almost $30 for what feels like I’m being taught by someone without any training.

This not a review of the yoga itself but more customer service. I popped in for a class and was there early enough to have someone help me. I mentioned to the teacher that I was hoping to buy 5 classes and she said,” oh you can do that online.” Right, I’m sure I can but I was ready to hand her my card and have her add me to the class and charge. And she said,” We don’t take payment here.” And I said ,”well what happens if someone wants to drop -in?” And she said they just sign up online.
It was a very weird experience and I’ve never not been helped/welcomed when as a future customer it was a very big turn off. If you don’t take payment at the door how do you sell any merchandise, yoga mats, water, etc?
The class was good just a weird impression with signing up for class.
Also I wish class was hotter. It’s never actually a hot yoga class.

I had the best experience today at Yoga Sanctuary.

Yvette was knowledgeable, kind, and made sure everyone was comfortable. She took us through a nice pranayama practice, a gentle restorative flow, and then offered lavender oil and read a lovely excerpt from a book.

It was refreshing to visit a studio with an emphasis on the spiritual practice portion on the class.

Highly recommend!

I've practiced yoga for more than 20 years and Yvette Sanchez is the best instructor I've ever had. Her holistic approach touches the mind, body and spirt and with her guidance I've achieved poses I never thought I could possibly do. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful yoga studio with stellar instructors! The owner Yvette is a lovely person and a wonderful teacher. I have enjoyed her classes so much over the past few years. They are always challenging but balanced, they flow well and she always finds ways to encourage you bring your heart along for the journey. I always come away feeling refreshed and grounded. Her Saturday morning classes are quickly becoming my favorite way to start the weekend! The studio is very clean, easy to get to with plenty of parking. And as a bonus there are several delicious places to eat close by. :)
