I recently joined the west Seattle studio. It’s my first time learning about yoga. The facility is very clean and staff is welcoming. I was very impressed by their excellent customer service. Elise spoke with me on the phone and assisted me with a situation I had. She helped me with my problem and was quick to respond and get back to me.
It was their kindness and understanding that will keep me coming back as a loyal customer. Thank you yoga six. So glad you are part of my neighborhood.

I have been a consistent yogi for 10+ years - so my standards are high for what I expect from a yoga studio. I was recently on vacation in Seattle and tried YogaSix in West Seattle. The classes were led by well-trained instructors. The front desk was run by a LOVELY yogi (I wish I could remember her name). I was there 9/18 and 9/20 for the slow flow class. I got a good sweat going and enjoyed the experience. Two pieces of constructive criticism: 1. Don't charge for borrowed mats - that's bad karma. You never know why someone needs to borrow a mat. 2. Explain your parking situation better on your website - parking in Seattle sucks in general - so help a girl out.

It was my first time doing yoga in a few years, I took the class at 4PM on Thursday, and it was such a wonderful experience. Stacy Buell was the instructor, she was fun, vibrant, and gave clear instructions! It was definitely an intense exercise, and I felt like I was gonna give up on many occasions, but I pulled through!! It was so rewarding!!! The best exercise!! Thank you Stacy!!

This is not run like a wellness/yoga studio, but like cattle herding for a Taco Bell.

First, the instructors are great, decent people - regular yoga girls.

However, the business side of the house is despicable. They charge a $20 late fee if you cancel within 8 hours of class start. How preposterous! I racked up $40 before I even realized I was being charged. I asked if I could get one of those waived, but no response. I have sent 3 or 4 emails to them, and I get no replies whatsoever - only notices of payment due, and promotions. What a disgrace!

When I tried to cancel, the girl at the front desk was fairly incompetent. She only has divine authority to sign you up and bill your credit card- but cancellations require ordination from the Pope.

You should do better.

Michelle's Sound Bath and Restorative Yoga class was magical! The intentions, the care, the setup, and the energy were all perfect. It was easy to relax and allow the body to take in what it needed. This was my first experience with Sound Bath and what a treat it was. Michelle's ability to choose the right instruments and right sounds at the right moments was on point.

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to start off our morning! We took the 8AM Slow Flow with Nate. He opened and closed with a beautiful reflection quote(s). He provided a place for me to listen to my body, encouraged self-driven exploration with body movement and fine tuning of the mind, body, and soul. I left feeling energized and ready to conquer the world! 🌎 💪🏽Thanks Nate!! 🙏🏽

My first Y6 Sculpt & Flow class with Molly was challenging, energetic and fun. She sets a quick, music driven pace and gives clear instructions so you can keep up. Yogasix West Seattle is one of a number of yoga studios in the Seattle area. Our instructor for this evening was Ariana. It was a casual “Candlelight” session which is perfect for winding down after a busy day. Ariana instructed us to stay in touch with our bodies throughout the yoga practice and note changes, both good and bad. She’s a great instructor and helpful in providing remedies for our poses, coming up to us as we exercised.

Rachel was such a solid restorative yoga instructor, and everyone at the studio had a very gracious approach to creating a non-judgmental, relaxing space to show up to my practice. Thank you guys! There was just enough movement with long-held supported poses—that’s exactly what I look for in that type of class. They were also very gracious about making room for me showing up a bit late, which was lovely.

This place is amazing!! I’ve been going for a couple months to the west seattle one now and it’s like my home away from home. The place I can go when I’m feeling down, self conscious, or any situation. I started as a beginner going with my mom who is quite experienced and we both immediately felt like this was the one! The selection of classes are so perfect because one day I could be doing a cross body full out workout and the next I could be meditating. The facility is everything I could want, with bathrooms stocked with hair-ties😉, cotton pads and everything you could need. It also has locked lockers which I enjoy! The staff are so sweet and kind… they make sure you are respected and comfortable. The yoga itself seems to fit for my needs every time and the playlists are everything! I plan on staying at yoga six for as long as possible😁!!

I absolutely love this studio!! I tried out Y6 on a whim about six months ago and immediately fell in love with the space and the instructors. The studio itself is super cute and inviting, light filled, and offers amazing amenities for the students (hair ties, face mist, deodorant, cool towels with essential oils, mints, etc.)- they truly have you covered if you forget anything! I constantly feel spoiled every time I come in. They have amazing teachers who take the time to truly get to know you and your yoga goals, they offer five diverse classes (so there’s a little something for everyone), and have the absolute sweetest front desk team that treats you like family. I’d recommend this studio to anyone!! 🩷🧘🏻‍♀️

Alexandra A. made me feel not just welcome, but like I belonged. As a first timer, I was really nervous and unsure of what I was walk into. She tailors her classes to suit a variety of experience and fitness levels, making each and every student feel they’re exactly where they need to be. I went from cynical skeptic to yoga devotee in 75 minutes. I have since tried more challenging classes and have gained confidence, ability and a strong desire to continue the practice. The studio and restrooms are clean and comfortable, the check in process smooth and painless. I’m eagerly awaiting an update to the website to use more features but a quick call or text takes care of my needs immediately if I need to change or ask anything. So grateful for this awesome new edition to my life’s journey!

Be aware. Their policy is that they won’t let you in even if you are one minute late. If you are a member, even unlimited, you will get charged $15 for “no show”. No first time warning. If you cancel within 8 hrs, they will only charge you $10. Welcome to the stress yoga. Always make it on time or expect to pay. It’s stricter than school classes.

I recommend this studio. The yoga instructors are excellent and have positive energy. I enjoy practicing yoga here and feel that it is improving my overall health. The studio is nice and clean. The bathrooms are tidy and very clean as well.
Sometimes the classes are a bit full, but that's probably just due to the current time of year.

Poor communication from staff and shady business practices. When i asked to cancel my membership on 10/22 and purchase a class package instead, the staff member helping me said i could practice unlimited until the end of this cycle (since it had just renewed on the 18th), then my package would kick in, and it was valid for 6-months. Flash forward to Friday, 11/18, this week when I am notified of a charge of renewal of my membership. I reached out to the studio, the GM responded apologetically, however she informed me THEN that their policy requires members to reach out to her directly and give her 30 day’s notice for membership cancellations. She mentioned trying to get my money back, but I just got an email saying I can practice through December 18th and with my unlimited membership then my class pack would kick-in. Terrible handling of this situation, putting the customer last. Be weary.

UPDATE: I’ve been going to YogaSix post mask mandate and absolutely love it! Their restore classes are perfect for relieving stress and tension (which is extra important now). Their administrative staff is also very welcoming and helpful when you have questions. I was worried I wouldn’t fit in since I’m not the stereotypical yoga-goer, but that could not be farther from the truth. The instructors give plenty of advice on modifying poses and using blocks/bolsters to help give everyone a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this yoga studio!

I’m super excited to join YogaSix when they open. Alex was very helpful in getting my membership set up, and I’m looking forward to taking online classes in the meantime. If their classes are as amazing as their customer service, I know it’ll be a 5 star experience 😊

I have mixed reviews about this location. The staff and instructors were welcoming and friendly. The room and bathrooms were well taken care of. They have multiple classes throughout the day, so it is easy to be flexible with your practice.

The cons:

Within my first two weeks of signing up, three classes were canceled for various reasons. (instructor has a personal emergency, the heater went out, and again another reason I can't remember). With the prices they charge, you'd think they'd have backup instructors ready to fill in. When I missed a class, I canceled on the app and was charged $10. It was ironic that they could cancel three within a week and not offer any reimbursement or discount but are quick to charge when I cancel.

Second, they say the room is equipped to handle 20+ people at a time. This is not true. I went to a night class so packed that people couldn't do their stretches without being in another's space. This was during covid as well. It was dangerous and uncomfortable for everyone. (This was discussed outside with a few others). I will mention this was a one-time thing for me; I don't know if they had a special going on or what.

There is a lack of diversity among the instructors and the sessions. Sometimes instructors would read off papers, mess up directions, or make things up on the spot. It didn't feel like there was a lot of thought put into the classes. I've been to a few classes in Renton, Federal way, Cali, and North Carolina. There are many ways to teach and engage a class, and this location fell short for me personally. It would be nice if they added more variety when it comes to music and energy overall. There was also a few times that the instructor would walk in a few minutes late.

Lastly, my NEW credit card was charged after I canceled my membership. A card that I did not provide to them. I do not know how they received my credit card information, but they ran it without my authorization. This was really uncomfortable. On the positive side, they reimbursed me and promptly handled the issue, but they would not tell me how they received my personal card information.

Things they can improve
- More diverse classes and instructors/instructor teaching styles.
- More thought put into the classes and the flow.
- Less expensive

Overall I enjoyed my experiences; my intent is not to bash this company or its employees.

Disclaimer: I'd never done yoga before in my life so I have no other studio or experience to compare to.
After years of distance running and getting stiffer and stiffer, I thought I'd give yoga a try when this studio opened near me. I really love it. I like the variety of classes and the fact that instructors always give you modification options. The best part is how friendly everyone is: I live close and walk by multiple times a day. They always wave and say hi to my dog and me. During classes, Alex makes a point to call you out by name which really makes the whole experience feel intimate and not like you're just a number in the membership machine.
In all- highly recommend.

I got a mailer from them, went online to see the prices as they advertised a discounted "lifetime membership." They wouldn't indicate the price until I had already provided my phone number and email. Input my info only to discover that there isn't a "lifetime" membership, just a typical monthly membership that's *discounted* to $120/month. Leave the page, having been duped, only to get texted and called that same day with an aggressive sales pitch trying to get me to sign up for a membership ("it comes with a free yoga mat!")

I can't speak for the quality of their classes, but I wouldn't step foot through their door for fear of their salespeople!
