One of my worst golfing experiences ever. Unfriendly staff course in rough shape. No yardage markers. Another course that will turn into condo

Don't go!!!!!! It's burnt up and impossible to play.. Played 4 holes and left. The workers know it's impossible to play but didn't say it til we quit n left.. Would've been nice if they was honest when we got there and told us how bad of shape it's in.. WILL NOT EVER GO BACK!!!!!!!

Donβt waste your time playing this. No grass left on course. All burnt out. Ball runs down the hills forever and become lost. Literally play anywhere else.

Where do I start.
Played the Crispin Course - Not a single outlined tee box, not a single watered tee box, somehow there are mini sinkholes on the greens (front 9), where there should be a fairway, is just βconcrete dirtβ or burned grass. If you hit a perfect shot and canβt find your ball, start checking the tree line 3 holes over because every ball is rolling down and picks up speed then grows wings and takes flight into the trees (I wish I was joking). Course was a 1/10 but the views 10/10. Wish theyβd water the fairways at least once a week especially since itβs a resort.

course as dry, no fairway to speak of. If you hit a drive, you had to aim 100 yards from the green and your ball would bounce into the woods. Donβt bother!

For Oglebay, I thought Crispin would be better kept. The T boxes were okay, but the greens had divots and water bad. It had rained a couple of days earlier, so maybe that was the problem. I thought they would water coolers sporadically, but none.
I'm going to go back to try again, and hopefully it's better.

Greens are nice, fairways need attention.

Apparently the employees are no longer able to limit groups to 4 players. Got stuck behind a group of 8 and quit before finishing our round beause we were out for over 6 hours. Spoke to the starter and he confirmed they are no longer limiting group sizes. I would not waste my time booking here.
It's a shame because the employees are wonderful and the course is usually in great shape.

I like this course...get to play it every year...very playable...a few greens are not the right size for the whole...huge greens on short par 4s for example, but its fun for groups...good views off tees in the mountains make for a very enjoyable time.

Course is in good shape from tee-to-green. Green fees are very reasonably priced. You can book a tee time on-line.

If you're looking for a short run nine holes here is perfect. If you're looking to golf all day, I suggest 18 holes. The course is always in good shape and well kept. It's a fun course and the hills make it truly enjoyable. I'd recommend getting a cart regardless of how many holes you plan to play. There's a lot of other activities located nearby as well.

Let's talk about my last three visits to Crispin Grill. The first time, out of French fries. The second time, out for a nice bike ride, big golf scramble going on, they were closed. What !? The third time was today, sign said "grill open", asked for a Bud light, I was informed that I got the last one. Okay. Then I asked for chicken tenders. The girl told me the fryer was down. Really?? And the prices went up. But that's okay because you can't get any food anyway. Is this place under new management? I used to like it.
