I only gave 3 stars because e tanning sucks!!! You can’t sign up in advance then work out while you wait, the staff tells you 10 to 15 minutes then 30 to 40 minutes later you can tan. One day there were 8 people waiting. The gym area is clean, the staff if friendly.

After having the worst experience at the Morgantown location, I decided to try the Bridgeport location since I work in the area. I wish I would’ve came here sooner! The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly. As someone who works in management myself, I can see the management and leadership at this location are doing something right! Thank you for having a great location that truly cares for their patrons! I will be making this my home gym!

Nice facility with extensive collection of cardio and strength training equipment. Friendly staff. Low membership cost. No day care, pool, courts, or track if that's an issue.
Many of the TV sets have been removed for some reason, but overall a great place to workout. Still cannot believe how little they charge for membership.
Summer 2023 update. Big renovations underway since June, hoping to finish this month. When all is done, I expect it to rate 5 stars, given it's previously noted diversity of equipment, cleanliness, friendly staff, and low cost. Be warned, however, there are no locker facilities yet, and the bathroom is outside (but the nicest portable bathroom I've ever seen).
Sep2023. Renovations to everything except the premium membership area (tanning beds, massage chairs, etc.) complete. While I can't see a whole lot of real change, the place was great before, and is again, back to 5-stars. Highly recommended for casual gym rats like me, the serious folks should also like it.

This is one of the better planet fitnesses as far as being cleaner and less crowded than others I've been a member at. There are no barbells, and the dumbbells are light duty, but overall, the setup here works for most types of fitness and new goals you may have.

I transferred from the one in Morgantown and miss it every day. This planet fitness is trash compared to that one. There’s no hot water in the showers, the showers are small anyways, the roof is always leaking somewhere, and always some type of pest running around somewhere. (Had a snake run across the weight room floor). You’d think with all the money they bring in, they’d be able to keep up with maintenance of the building. Equipment is decent and it’s usually not too packed but wish the building was in better shape.

If you want your kids or family harassed by an incompetent girl then this is the place for you! I and friends have been coming here for years now and have always had a great experience.

A group of boys went were working out one evening when one had lost his keys. After searching the entire gym, a different group of boys they had never seen in there before (keep in mind they go here 6 days a week) where taking pictures of them and laughing and pointing at their phones. This only cause some suspicion in thinking that group had room the keys. The boys went up to the desk to politely see if there was anything that could be done about it and if the group of boys could be questioned.

Cory, then proceeded to accuse the boys of being racist, ridiculous, and amongst other terrible things. Can’t believe this gym would hire such a trashy worker who harassed 16 year olds when it’s suppose to be a safe place. Needless to say she is still there after they had said they let her go and the boys accounts have been revoked.

Of significance to me is the Total Body Enhancement bed, since it has a definite impact on my mood, clear skin, and circulation. Plus, it helps ease some of my muscle tension. I also appreciate the variety of machines out on the floor and in particular the 30 Minute Workout room which, much to my surprise, actually does help maintain overall general strength when I’m too busy to do more.

I really appreciate the variety of equipment, but the industriousness of some of the employees when I’m there in the morning is what really impresses me. The morning crew of Angie and Rob couldn’t be beat! Angie had that place the cleanest I’ve ever seen it and Rob was always on the ball fixing whatever machines break. They were always friendly and encouraging and hard workers and provided the extra incentive for me to show up every morning, because I knew they noticed their regulars and looked forward to seeing us each day and noticed when someone was missing. I appreciated everything they do and all the hard work that they put in.

Update: That was years ago and times have changed. There are a few good people working there that I see in the mornings but there’s been so much turnover in the past few years I don’t make it a point to learn everyone’s names anymore. Overall it’s decently clean, but no one gets all the nooks and crannies and you can tell in the changing stalls, just look under the benches and see how many days go by without it being touched… Still the best value for the price and worth the extra for the Total Body Enhancement bed.

As a woman, I want to feel comfortable in women only spaces. I usually do until a man walks into the ladies room, which happens here. My daughter and I were changing and this man walks in, dressed in a woman’s outfit and just stares creepily. He just stood there trying to make conversation while me and my little girl were changing. The club apparently thinks this is ok and they were not allowed to contact authorities. We will not be returning. If you are a woman or have a young daughter that you do not want assaulted, I highly suggest you go somewhere else. This keeps getting deleted.

Machines work really well, and I love the variety. I feel safe there as a single woman and don't have to worry about guys hitting on me. Plus, the overall safety in the Bridgeport location always makes me feel very comfortable walking in and out of the building. The front staff are always welcoming and nice and helpful. I recently visited the Planet Fitness in Myrtle Beach, SC and the one in Beckley, WV. The planet Fitness in Bridgeport, WV is the one I normally visit 3 times a week. The Bridgeport one is much cleaner and the equipment is better maintained. They also have several types of machines I prefer to use that the others didn't have. The workers are all friendly and helpful. These things all contribute to the feeling that the Bridgeport location is "home"

Terrible place to workout. Staff and management act like a bunch of high-school girls that just lost their boyfriends. They are all so two faced and will throw anyone under the bus to make themselves look good. They will fire honest, loyal employees and keep the bad ones. Their personal trainer is a spoiled entitled little brat that needs fired. They don't want you wearing cutoffs because it intimidates customers but will let a GUY in the woman's locker room because he identifies as a woman. Overall terrible place and horrible staff.

The staff are all nice and helpful . I have the black card and the tanning privileges pay for themselves for 25$ a month ! On top of that my favorite is the red light therapy bed and also the massage bed and chairs. The locker room is huge , the bathrooms are always clean kept and eco friendly. Best gym facility in the Bridgeport area for the money. Always clean, friendly staff, all the amenities (especially free tanning), so many machines, great cardio area, and so much more. I love the stretching cages. When a machine is broken, it is labeled clearly and fixed quickly. I have been in the gym business for twenty years, I know when work is being put in and when real planning is involved. I know, also, when it’s not. This facility has it all! The location is great because I don’t drive and it’s located on the bus line. If you do drive, plenty of close parking and in the wintertime, they keep it clean and clear. I can’t say enough how much I love my Planet Fitness here in Bridgeport.
