Thanks for charging me a monthly fee a week AFTER I cancelled (for the second time) and having a zero balance which is clearly shown on my cancellation paperwork. Nice scam you have going there. I've filed a complaint with the state. I canceled twice because the first person couldn't be bothered to do it correctly. I've contacted customer service 4 times about a refund and finally called an spoke to someone who said they would "put in a request". No refund was ever issued so I'll let the states attorney general and better business bureau handle it.

It gets even better.... I received an email threatening to take me to collections for a past due and fictitious balance. I've been told numerous times the owner would contact and that has not happened. Corporate has been contacted multiple times and they just make excuses and claim they can't do anything. The best he could be bothered to do was ask that I send my review to the social media team. And they can even bother to reply

So let's review the sketchiness of Moundsville planet fitness: staff can't process cancellations correctly the first time, they will charge you multiple times AFTER cancelling, threaten you with collections for non-existent, false past due amounts, and then refuse to contact me about any of this.

Love this Planet Fitness. Always clean & safe! Employees are extremely helpful & welcoming! The only issue I have (I do realize this is @ most PF Clubs) is people using the machines in 30min PF Circuit that aren’t actually there for the circuit. More policing please! Other than that one issue this is a great PF Club!

Definitely would not recommend a membership unless you are prepared to spend a lot of money on it. I signed up for that limited time $1 down $10 a month had it for one month and then they charged me a yearly fee of $52.45. I immediately tried to contact corporate they told me to go to local branch and I went there and cancelled after the girl told me she couldn't cancel my membership only freeze it. I went back a week later thinking they would have returned my $52.45 to my bank account but they hadn't so spoke to a manager she put in a request and told me no matter what she would call me to let me know if I could get a refund. I haven't heard anything from her it's been almost two weeks. So I'm assuming I won't get my money back. I definitely would not recommend a membership there considering they charge hidden fees now and don't even want to help you. So I spent $63.45 on a month of membership. Ridiculous....

Some of the machines that I prefer are in the back of the place. The music was cranked up so insanely loud that half the people were eather wearing headphones or had ear plugs in to block the noise. You would think when the employees saw this they would turn it down. When I questioned them they blamed corporate.

The gym itself is very nice and always clean and the staff are all very friendly. The locker room however is always dirty. It seems they only clean the locker room about once a week. I’ve seen trash behind the toilets for days at a time and the rag pictured was on the floor of the middle shower for over a week. The first shower curtain is also moldy on the inside. I don’t normally notice but after seeing the rag on the floor for a few days I started paying attention.

I was in town for a work conference and paid for a day pass three days in a row. I had no issues the first two days as I bring my jump ropes everywhere and enjoy jumping rope as my form of cardio before or after I hit the weights. On the third day an employee came and told me his Manager asked him to let me know jumping rope wasn’t allowed at planet fitness. First off, what kind of gym that promotes health and fitness doesn’t allow jumping rope??! Second, there are no signs that say jumping rope is not allowed so for future reference if you’re not going to allow one of the oldest, most effective ways to get in great shape, you should probably put a sign up. Third, if the manager is there and has a problem with me jumping rope over in the corner he should come address me, not have the poor guy working behind the counter do it, that’s cowardly. Last thing, the employee who approached me was extremely kind, I know he was just doing his job as the coward manager didn’t want to confront me. I will not be back and not recommend this place to anyone after my experience.

They have the best staff ever....Tyler and Darren are super friendly and helpful, they greet me with a smile every morning, which definitely helps 😊I've been to many gyms and this gym is the highest on my ranking and definitely recommend it to EVERYONE. Outstanding fitness center amongst all the locations I have been to our planet fitness. I travel for a living and I am in a different planet fitness three or four times a week. This was excellent. The staff Jarrett and Sabrina and Trey were exemplary fitness enthusiast and employees. This location should be the standard for which the others are measured as they strive to exceed expectations for the client. Thank you for making me feel welcome. On a side note for anybody who is traveling you should consider this company. It is only 25 a month and that includes tax. You get unlimited tanning and state of the art workout equipment as well as great unlimited use of the massage beds and chairs. Those beds and chairs have saved me on more than one occasion after hours of driving. Thanks everybody

I reduced my rating because I had paid $200 for an annual membership which is the same cost as the black card for a year but instead I got the regular membership. I spoke with the manager who said the only thing he could do was put a note in the system saying I had black card access. Problem is I have to explain this EVERY single time I want to use something. If I would've known this would be my gym experience every time I come here I would stayed at my old gym.

The Planet Fitness in my location is very convenient, clean, friendly, and affordable!
They do an excellent job on keeping up with the rules and regulations put in place by our governor and regularly clean the equipment as well as give us the proper things to clean the equipment ourselves. The staff at my particular location are always welcoming upon arrival and do their job to the best of their abilities. There is plenty of equipment for any kind of exercise and it’s always in great condition! For the price you pay this has got to be one of the best gyms despite what you might read online. I don’t understand why the franchise gets so much flack
