Colleen Harshbarger provided a wonderful blend of peacefulness and adventure on this retreat. With morning yoga classes to help us begin our day feeling energized, afternoons full of amazing adventures, and yoga again in the evenings to help us back into a place of restfullness. Every activity was well organized, optiinal, adjusted to accommodate all in the group and pleasantly guided with knowledge and patience. An absolutely wonderful experience!

Taking yoga from Colleen is a joy and a pleasure. Not only does she have technical knowledge and expertise in teaching yoga, but she also is compassionate, kind and sensitive towards every student. Classes are well paced-not too fast, not too slow and they take place in her lovely home studio. I always enjoy the variety in each class and how she builds from easy to more challenging poses. Her explanations are clear and her voice is calm and motivating. Every class concludes with several minutes of shavasana. I always feel grounded, centered and peaceful after class. I recently participated in an experience of a lifetime with Colleen and Wellbeing Solutions at a Yoga retreat at Amorgos Island in Greece. Colleen led us in Yoga twice daily during the retreat and her instruction was top notch and she was always in tune to what each individual needed. As our fearless leader, Colleen organized several incredible hiking trips and a beach day, on our own private island complete with guys serving us drinks and lunch, snorkeling and paddle boarding. Colleen's attention to detail was remarkable throughout the whole planning stage leading up to the trip as well as throughout the whole trip.If you get a chance to attend one of Colleen's retreats, I would highly recommend doing so!

A dancer since the age of two, a yoga practitioner for nearly ten years and a fervent fitness junkie, I’m no stranger to movement and the mechanics of the body. Three months ago, I was diagnosed with an injury to my sacroiliac joint, and subsequently arthritis in three locations within my hip and pelvic region. Though I had rehabilitated many injuries before, this one was particularly traumatic. I would come home from physical therapy with prescriptive exercises that caused me pain. I saw a sports medicine physician who told me if my SI joint was displaced, there was nothing I could do except to ease my way back into my activities through trial and error. I devoured every article and study on the function of the joint, which often led me to more dead ends. The research was thin, and conflicting information was prevalent. Confused and suffering, I couldn’t intuit my way through, and I longed to move again.

Using every outlet I could think of, I called out for help. Colleen responded with these words: “Creating SI joint stability is about developing awareness of balance in your body.” I already knew she carried great wisdom, but our paths had only crossed briefly here and there before. When I arrived for my first one-on-one, I was worn down both physically and emotionally. I walked into her healing space as stiff as a board and full of anxiety. As she settled me into my very first pose, I immediately began to feel a space emerge around the source of my pain, with hope at its center.

With each session, I began to find my way back to the body I had known for so many years. She led me there. She didn’t just tell me what to do – she empowered me to do it, with a breadth of knowledge that is nothing short of extraordinary. The progress was vibrant. The process, organic. Because of Colleen, I am moving toward normalcy again, armed with new perspectives on every aspect of my movement – even the flow of my breath. I not only feel restored, I feel far more connected to my body than I did before my injury. The effect will be permanent. I cannot overstate that. She did for me what no doctor, no physical therapist… no one else could do. She’s remarkable.
