5th Row Lifting Company has been Chippewa Valley's neighborhood gym since 2014.
Our workouts have been crafted to be equal parts challenging, effective, and fun! The community of people are all about helping you reach your full potential. Whether you are new to exercise or are searching for a new challenge, you will find it at 5th Row.

We offer personal training sessions, group fitness classes, or a mix of both.

Fantastic gym, trainers and community at 5th Row! The group workouts are challenging, safe, effective and tailored to your level and needs. A great mix of both beginners and experienced lifters of all ages, and everyone supports each other. Expert trainers encourage you to push yourself to build your strength within healthy limits, while ensuring proper form and spotting on free weights. Plenty of cardio equipment for self-paced workouts, too. If you’re looking to build strength and achieve your best health, I highly recommend 5th Row and trainers Ryan, Clay and Riley! I started at 5th Row with my wife 3.5 months after a pretty bad wrist break, 49 years old, and no real consistent routine workout-wise in my life. I wasn’t much of an athlete growing up, never really “hit the gym” and had only done P90x over 10 years ago with nothing consistent after it was over.
We started with Ryan two mornings a week building all-around strength, starting where we were and building up. Ryan helped modify moves for my wrist in order not to irritate it and strengthen my forearm.
After 3 months, we added an additional day…a group session. We were a little intimidated at first; these were people who’d been at this longer than us, but there was zero judgement and only encouragement.
Ryan and team have helped foster such a great gym culture. There’s a reason this place is the Best in the Chippewa Valley!
We got rolling on consistently coming three times a week. We even workout on vacation now (what?!?!) and we are bummed when we have to miss (rarely). Thankfully there’s a number of available group sessions that help make it easy to get a makeup work out in.
Here we are a little more than a year later.
Have I dropped any weight? I don’t think so. But the weight has shifted and is definitely more muscle than fat.
Is my wife starting to get some abs? You know it!
Do we feel better? Yes!
You just have to start. Just show up. Hold yourself accountable (it helps to have a partner in crime for sure) and do the work. Make it as important as any other appointment and you’ll make the time. It’s so worth it.

I love working out at 5th Row! I have done just about every group fitness class there is and these groups are THE best! They are lifting focused and yet still completely tailorable to all abilities, injuries, and ages. Ryan and Riley are always willing to help, answer questions, and provide substitutes when needed. The people who come to the groups are fantastic and vary in ages, abilities, and strength. It is such a great environment! It is a great workout every time!

Want to feel stronger and more tone ladies? This is the place to do it! It only takes a few Small group sessions to get in the groove. I like that I don’t have to be at the gym for 90 minutes doing multiple things - this is one class for 50 minutes. Owner Ryan has experience with all levels of fitness and ability. You can tell he cares about all his members progress - not just the super fit heavy lifters but also the beginners who make progress and show up for their health goals. Ryan and Riley are encouragers and motivators. My only request is a country music workout playlist 🤠💪🏼

Ryan is an amazing trainer! He tailors your personal training sessions to your ability and wherever you are on your fitness journey. He is always encouraging but when he knows you give a better effort, he will let you know to step it up. I always enjoy going to workout because I know how good I will feel afterwards. I am not your typical gym client. I have had 2 hip surgeries and have other muscular and joint issues that prevent me really killing it at the gym. Ryan has expertly modified things to fit my fitness level. He allows me to listen to my body and will change gears to help me get a good workout without risking injury. You really feel how much Ryan wants you to achieve your goals and improve your health!!

If you’re looking for a place to get your body moving again, in a truly comfortable place, this is it. It’s always intimidating to start something new or to get back into something but that washes away after your first class. Everyone is welcoming and always helpful; whether you don’t know an exercise or need help adding (or in my case taking off) weights on a bar. What I’ve always hated about gyms is how the egos fill the space and that makes you doubt yourself.. 5th Row has none of that.

Seriously could not recommend Ryan and his space more if you’re like me and needed to get moving and working out again!

I've been going to this gym for about 4 months, and I love it! This is the only place I have found that emphasizes weight lifting in it's classes, and it's exactly what I was looking for. I am feeling stronger, I've lost weight, and I feel more confident. Ryan, the owner, is friendly and you can tell he really cares about his clients. Fifth Row Lifting Company is by far the best gym in Eau Claire for several reasons! One of my favorite things about it is the convenience. No more walking around a gym trying to figure out what I should do. Every day I walk in and Ryan has a super effective 50 minute workout planned out for everyone. I also love how diverse the people are. There are people of all different fitness levels there, and I promise you will fit in no matter who you are. I’ve been to several different gyms and I have never found one that works so perfectly for me until Fifth Row. I have never felt so strong and healthy. I am SO glad I found this place.

I started going to Pinehurst Fitness about a month ago. I have never felt so motivated and had the drive to work out. I look forward to going now and I don’t even dread getting up at 4:30 for the 5am work out, I look forward to it!!!! Ryan has great communication is very flexible and just all around a nice guy!!! I am not even sure where to start.....I have never been able to "stick" to any sort of fitness routine in all of my life. I had a friend beg me to do a 2 week trial at Pinehurst Fitness 9 months ago. I said yes and I started my 2 week trial. I have done this with other gym/fitness programs in the past. I do the 2 weeks and then I end up purchasing a membership because, let's face it, I need to it. I can barely finish a work out or a set, but others around me can. I feel like, if I just keep coming, I will get there too? This usually lasts about 3 months and then "life" gets in the way, I dread going to the gym. I can never find a rhythm and I usually rely on my "friend who made me join" to keep me accountable. At some point, I lose motivation, the friend loses motivation and I just stop going. Pinehurst Fitness is different. Ryan (owner) runs his gym differently. Ryan's approach is all about the members. When I first started, it didn't matter if my "friend to made me join" was there or not, he always welcomed me as they walked in and ALWAYS introduces you to everyone else. With busy work schedules/kids/life, we all workout at different times of the day, different days and there are never the same members in each group workout. You have the opportunity to meet a lot of members and everyone is very friendly. Speaking of kids...you can bring them with! No joke. So there is no excuse of, I didn't have a sitter or I have to pick up my kids from daycare/school and can't make it to the gym. Just bring them with! Ryan trains members of all different fitness levels. It still amazes me most days. You will see members all different shapes/sizes/ages. Ryan's gym is a like big family. Everyone is there to support everyone else. Needless to say, it's been a wild ride for the past 9 months. I actually want to go the gym--I never thought I would ever say that. Everyday is something new and different. We are all very busy and it's nice to show up, execute 50 minutes of a planned workout and you can leave feeling accomplished. No thought on your part and that is what I struggled with for years. I owe it to Ryan and Pinehurst Fitness for making this click for me! I am so thankful I found this gym and all the members that go along with it!

I was always very fit and athletic growing up. Over 4 years in college I gained about 65 pounds and completely stopped working out. I was intimidated by most gyms and couldn’t find anything that worked for me or kept me accountable. The amazing reviews are what first attracted me to Pinehurst Fitness, and now, after almost a year at pinehurst, I can confirm the hype is real!

The atmosphere of the gym is welcoming to people from all fitness backgrounds. Ryan will work with you to accomplish your goals no matter what they are, he will keep you accountable when you need some motivation, and the other members will push you to do your best. I can’t see myself seeing the results I am at ANY other gym! I highly recommend Pinehurst!

I’ll start with, if you are not working out here you should be! Ryan (owner/trainer), the variety of the workouts and the people make this gym amazing. I’ve been active my whole life up through playing competitive sports in college but have never been at gym I loved going to. My personal journey at Pinehurst started about 7 months post-baby-number-2. I was in a fitness rut and decided to I wanted to try a personal trainer for more accountability. I started doing one on one sessions two mornings a week with Ryan and then moved to the group sessions after about 6 months. Every single person I’ve met at Pinehurst is so awesome and supportive it really makes going to the workouts a fun experience. I’ve now been going for almost a year and half and I’ve never felt better (physically and mentally!) or stronger. Highly recommend!

Pinehurst Fitness is truly one of a kind, and like no other place in the area. For once I feel as though I am able to stick to a routine and am seeing amazing results. I've been to the other gyms in town before. Most of them you are on your own to do your exercises and lacks motivation. With the trainers here they are there encouraging you to push harder. Plus the added yoga bonus is quite awesome!!!

Great place to work out. If you feel like going to the gym on your own is not producing the results you want I highly recommend PineHurst Fitness. I love the group classes, you can use weight you feel comfortable with while still pushing yourself every class. There is an easy to use app to sign up for the multiple classes they hold daily. Everyone is very welcoming and after attending for 6 weeks, I've seen results, I feel better mentally and I see familiar faces every day and met some great people. There is a 2 week free trial- no obligations to come try out the fitness center. If you prefer to be one on one there are also individual personal training classes you can sign up for as well.

THE GOLDILOCKS OF WORKOUT PLACES..
The workouts are challenging without being over the top. Because of that and because the current customers are welcoming to new people (compared to the intimidation that can come with joining a new gym), most new people who join Pinehurst seem to stay forever. I've never stuck with a workout regimen in my life until I started here when it opened in 2014 (now June, 2017). The owner has built a culture that is absolutely unique in our area. No matter what group you end up in, on the days you choose to go, somebody in the group will say something to crack everyone up. This is worth trying out.

Pinehurst Fitness isn't a typical "gym". Thank goodness, as there are plenty of those to pick from. Pinehurst is more like a community, made up of all ages and fitness levels with different goals. Ryan will work with you to help you achieve your own personal goal. Ive been to a couple other places in the area, but found my fit with Pinehurst Fitness. Ryan is great, and the workouts allow you to be a beginner, or walk in having worked out for years. Its a fun environment, where you control how hard you want to push yourself, but Ryan and all the people really motivate you! Theres no contract You can pay a monthly rate, or pay as you go which is great!
