This gym is very nice and well cleaned and the staff here are very nice and welcoming and helpful. The equipment is very good and there are good machines to be able to get a good workout in. It's not super busy and you don't have to wait to be able to use a machine or equipment.

I've sent through yet another request to cancel my membership tonight. I've been struggling to get them to cancel due to their policy that you can't unless you have a written doctor's note stating that you have a PERMANENT disability.

Strangely, the manager, Tim, told me over the phone that a note saying that they recommended not to work out until further notice from your doctor was sufficient, but when I produced a note they weren't satisfied. Apparently, a chiropractor isn't enough of a doctor to qualify to WRITE a note.

But, to get out of this agreement, $250 is a great deal. I will never be returning to Anytime Fitness, and if you're signing up, I highly recommend you don't. Their cancellation policy is ridiculous and the way to go about it is a pain in the butt. You can't cancel by calling the gym. I was told you have to call the main billing now, and that they don't handle it at a club level any longer. Once I got in touch with the main billing line, they told me that unless I have a doctor's note, I can't cancel at all unless I call the gym directly. So of course then I had to call the gym, where Tim, the helpful manager explained to me that I could cancel, I just had to have the regional manager do it, and of course I could cancel without a permanent disability, I just needed a note saying that it was recommended I don't work out for a period of time by my doctor.

Anytime Fitness doesn't actually care about you working out. They want you to sign into their agreement so that they can bill you a full year before you can stop paying. The amount of hassle to cancel is enough that they've gotten to bill me for 2 months longer than I've been able to work out.

I only came back because they offer a 24/7 service, which as I'm working third shift was a benefit. However, I should have learned when they refused to let me cancel because of COVID and losing my job along with having to move back in 2020.

Fool me once.

We were staying in Fitchburg for a week and my husband wanted to workout. He has Parkinson's and feels best when he maintains his fitness routine - even while traveling. He called this business the day we arrived (a Friday) and left a message asking about getting a 1-week membership. They did not bother to return his call for over a week. We were already back home. If you are traveling and want to work out, don't bother calling Anytime.

The trainers and staff are amazing. I was nervous about starting to work out because I was so out of shape, but they have always made me feel super comfortable. They do a great job of pushing you through any mental limitations and doubts you may put on yourself, while taking into account any physical limitations you have. Highly recommend.

I signed up for a year membership and was told I would be contacted before the end of the contract to discuss renewing. Not only did they not contact me, but when I contacted them it took them 4 days to email me the cancelation waiver, which I offered to pick up. I filled it out and returned it right away and wrote on it again I do not want any renewal or month to months added to my account. (I notified them 13 days before my year contract was set to expire.) They told me they needed 30 days’ notice and would be charging my account 2 more times. First, during the period I was waiting for my cancelation waiver they did take a payment of $35 so I should be good for 14 days until the next payment, at which time I do understand, but still completely disagree, another payment would be due which would round out my month. However, Kayla, the location manager, informed me they will charge my account a 3rd time for the full amount even though my 30days notice (again according to their late filing) will only be 2 days after that payment date. They refuse to pro-rate my payment so I’ll be paying for 12 days I won’t even have a membership! At $35 every 2 weeks (which is actually 13 payments of their advertised “monthly fee”) that’s a lot to be out when I contacted them before my 1st year even ended. To top it off, I find out they don't refund you the money for the fob anymore so I'm out that money too. Very unprofessional and deceptive. I feel cheated and betrayed.

Love coming to this gym! What I like most, is the friendly staff. Josh, Kait, Kayla, and Marcus are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Every time I come in, they are always willing to help if needed. Joining team/standard training has been one of the best decisions which I recommend to anyone. Not only have I increased results, but the friends I’ve met at this gym make it more enjoyable. If you are new to the area or are looking to switch things up, then stop in for a session of team training!

The floor is not even so every bar and weight rolls away no matter what. It is very unsafe that the floor infront of both squat racks is super uneven, one has a wide indent right infront of the rack. When deadlifting, the bar rolls away constantly... which is super unsafe. You'd think they would fix it... nope. Its been over a year with no treatment to the floor. There are also only two squat racks in the whole gym...

I had the base membership and it was awesome. The price isn't bad, and they had everything I needed. As far as equipment goes, they have some cable machines, a dumbbell area, 2 racks and a smith machine. They also have a bunch of treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes.

I had to cancel my membership because I was moving out of the state, and cancelling was really easy. I didn't get hit with any penalties for leaving early, and the manager was really understanding.

Overally, I really liked this gym. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in fitchburg.

Worst experience ever!!! They’re a total rip-off. They charged my debit card for membership I didn’t agree to and they wouldn’t refund my money. When I first signed up the lady that works there didn’t tell me I needed the $45 right then until after I signed the paperwork. Now I didn’t know even if you don’t pay right then you will still be charged. In my mind if I don’t have the money and you haven’t heard from me the membership would be cancelled anyway. Not the case if you sign and initial it you will still be charged. Now mind you she did try n reach out to me but I work crazy days and the only time I could’ve met with them was on the weekend but they’re not there on the weekends so what was I going to do? NOW IM OUT $74!!!! If I could rate 0 star I would.

This is my home anytime gym. Small and clean with a wide variety of plyo equipment and weights. I usually go during off hours and get the place to myself. I LOVE that the trainers and staff never bother me while I conplete my workouts.

Really not that great to be honest. You’re paying waaaay more than you should be for just a practical gym membership and they up charge the hell out of you for additional perks such as the tanning beds, hydro massage, etc. I went in several months ago to get hydro massage taken off of my contract and they completely forgot about it (luckily I saved my receipt/revised contract) and charged me the extra fee for about 3 months without my knowledge. I went in and had I not had my revised contract with me I HIGHLY doubt they would have done anything for me. Also they offered a month of a free membership which would have equaled out to 50 instead of the 100+ they owed me?? I immediately told them to just give my money back. Not to mention it’s just hard in general to get out of your contract with them... I would not suggest Anytime Fitness. Anywhere. There are so many better options out there and everyone should do their research for the biggest bang for your buck. Just saying.
