The electronic doorpass is often out of order, not allowing anyone into this supposed 24 hour access gym. There is no hot water so you cannot shower. Only 2 showers, so when there is hot water there is usually a line to shower. The gym and bathroom are always dirty. With them raising prices it seems absurd. There has been a lot of manager turnover and I have brought up all of the above but it seems to have not been heeded. You are better off going elsewhere.

I had a disappointing experience communicating with the management of this establishment. Both my wife and I joined simultaneously and transferred our accounts to a different location after nine months of using this gym. However, while my wife's account was subjected to additional charges, mine was not, and there was no clear explanation provided for this discrepancy. Despite assurances from the regional manager, Stephanie, to investigate and review phone conversations between myself and her staff member, Ryan, I never received the promised follow-up. Additionally, I find the pricing of this gym to be excessive compared to other Anytime Fitness locations, especially considering its limited space and inadequate variety of equipment.

Stay FAR away from this location.

This business lacks honesty and ethics. They are more interested in trying to lock you into long term lengthy contracts and make it disgustingly difficult to end your membership without having to pay hundreds of dollars. It’s a disgraceful business model this gym practices.

Take your business to a gym that cares about the individual and not the bottom line.

My experience: I’ve been a member of this gym for 12 years. Have seen it go through 3 different owners and 2 different locations and have referred multiple people to this gym over the years.

These new owners are by far the worst and most unethical owners I’ve come across.

Once ownership changed they pushed hard to get me into a β€œ2 year contract”. I didn’t see the need as I’ve been a member for 12 years and have always paid month to month. They pressured and when I pushed back the worker said he would be able to get me out of it if needed. I didn’t see any changes so reluctantly agreed.

Fast-forward 18 months later and my situation has changed such that I now need to see patients over my lunch hour instead of working out. Since I live 30 miles away from this location, there’s no possible way for me to work out there in the morning and then drive back home and then back to work. I needed to find a new gym close to my home.

When I tried to end my membership they said I would have to email corporate. Corporate said that because I hadn’t technically β€œmoved” from my address I signed up with (even though my home is well outside the required 15 mile radius) they wouldn’t be able to to cancel my membership.

This place makes it so they try to own you and impossible to switch gyms. Do not give a place like this your business. The management is unethical, dishonest and unprofessional. For a few extra bucks a month go to a gym, like the WAC, that actually practices honestly, is clean and most of all ethical.

Take it from me, and many others, don’t get sucked into the trap of starting a membership here.

Anytime Fitness is horrible. The manager who runs the gym is so condescending and rude. They have an antiquated policy requiring the gym member to drive to their HOME GYM to cancel IN PERSON. There are no considerations for being over an hour away and unable to make it before it closes due to construction and work. There is no understanding or flexibility. The manager was very rude. Do not sign up. There is no logical reason why someone would have to go in person. Canceling in writing should suffice.

I was able to meet with Reese, personal trainer, when I signed up for my membership. Reese took the time to get to know me, my lifestyle and my fitness goals. He helped me create a work out plan through the AF app so I can follow a work out plan for 5 days a week, which is my current goal. I highly recommend meeting with Reese. I left feeling confident and motivated to improve my physical health. Thank you Reese!

I've had great experiences with other Anytime Fitness locations, but after my experience here I will never sign another contract with AF again.

Other locations were very accommodating when I was a student and had periods when I wouldn't be going to the gym, so when I was working out of town I asked if they could freeze my membership, and they did for 3 months (Jan, Feb, Mar 2022). They have it on record that my membership started June 1st, 2021 and ended May 31st, 2022, so with the freeze, my membership should've ended at the end of August. 12 months.

I had plans to move out of the country in September, so I spoke to the manager in June to make sure my membership would not be automatically renewed. He told me they had recently changed management, and that instead of my membership being unfrozen, it was renewed for a year, so it would end in April 2023. This error was eventually resolved after my initial contract was recovered, and it was confirmed by Quinn that my last payment would be in September (I agreed to this, though it should've been August). Conveniently for them, I don't have this in writing since it took place over on the phone and in person, as well as over email.

In October, I discovered they'd charged me $70. They charge an extra $30 once per year for "club enhancement" in addition to the $40 per month. Since I was living abroad by this time, it was much more difficult to try to resolve this.
They eventually agreed to cancel my membership while acting like they were doing me a favor, but wouldn't refund me the $70 because they claimed I didn't give them 30 day notice.

Tldr: save your time and money and go anywhere else.

Had a conversation with the manager in July to cancel my membership immeadiately. 8 months later I get notifified of a balance on my credit card of $300. They had been charging since my cancellation.

The cancellation was confirmed with the manager by email which I still have. I also have pictures of each month they took money from me after my cancellation. Including one month a random charger of $59.45.

Don’t go here. You will be disappointed in everything.

Please notice all the fake reviews!! Every time the owner gets negative feedback, he posts a five-star review from a fake account!

Half of the reviews are from "people" who apparently only review Anytime Fitness franchises that this guy owns....not suspicious at all.

After not being able to use our membership for nine months due to Covid, I was just informed that the manager is only willing to extend our membership for three months. Manager basically said it is my fault for not calling sooner. Very poor customer service. Like it is our fault for Covid and we can't use our membership. Do not join this place. They will take your money and not give a shot about their customers.

I cancelled my membership last year and they are still billing me 8 months later even after I lost access to the club and they no longer have my account in their system. The company in charge of their billing services refuses to help, I had to issue a stop payment. On top of all this the club still has an automated answering machine saying they're closed temporarily when they are in fact open and no one is answering phone calls.

Very small gym with limited machines and weight selections. No locker rooms and rarely staff members on site. Was told I had to write a formal letter to cancel my membership and was not allowed to do it in person. I wrote a formal letter and sent it to them two months ago and I have not heard a reply, they continue to draft monthly dues from my account and they will not return my phone calls or refund my money they’ve been taking while not using their facility. Would not recommend.

If you haven't seen this new location - you are missing out on the best Anytime location around. This has all new equipment and such a clean, fresh atmosphere and by far the biggest location I have even been to. I absolutely love this place - oh by the way it did move to 520 Hartbrook Drive, Hartland, WI 53029. My new home club!

I wish there were more staff here during times I go to the gym as I have had questions. I have a varying schedule as I work at a hospital so having it 24/7 is nice. Joined this as result of health insurance provider (UnitedHealthcare) Sliver Sneaker program. Very happy with the facility and services, great location, very friendly staff. Never crowded when I go there so access to the equipment and items is always good. Nice that they have shower facilities to use also (I rarely do as I live close by).

I did not have any of the problems with membership charges that some of these other reviewers are having. I signed for a 1 year membership, which went month-to-month after the first year. Afterwards, when I moved away I was able to cancel my membership with a 30 day notice and haven't been charged since. The machines are almost always available, its never too dirty or crowded inside, and it was convenient for us.

Terrible business practices! Husband and I signed up for a low introductory rate, and they were quick to schedule us to meet with one of their personal trainers, which we thought was great! We showed up, but the trainer never showed up. They called the trainer, who never answered their phone. Rescheduled twice more and both times the trainer never showed up. After about 5 months, hubby lost his job and we had to cut costs. Told AF that we needed to suspend our membership if we couldn't cancel. They said "Sure, but you still have to keep paying on it while it's in suspension." WHAT?? That doesn't even make the slightest bit of sense! After 3 months of trying to get it figured out, we just decided we were screwed and just ate the cost. After the year was finally up, we called to cancel so we didn't get charged for month to month. They told us they couldn't do it over the phone, it had to be in writing and we had to meet with one of the employees who handled memberships. Great and wonderful...until you try to call them 8 times over 2 weeks to set time up to meet with them and they never answer or they're just too busy to meet. Ended up paying for another month because they couldn't find the time to meet with us to cancel. THEN, they charged us for the stupid key fob things, even after keeping our deposit on them! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

This place is well kept, organized and clean. The new ownership has really made some awesome changes to this place. A bunch of new equipment and machines, including two brand new, top end squat racks. After having worked out at many different gyms throughout my lifetime, I highly recommend going to this gym. The other reviews are dead on. I'll second what they say. Club itself, equipment, etc is okay. A little light on weight training equipment...seems to be more geared toward cardio stuff. Business practices--terrible...Told me one thing (I'd get the key deposit back when I turned it back in) when I signed up in reference to return of a deposit on the key ($25) then refused to give back the deposit when I went to turn it back in. Gave me a bunch of reasons why they couldn't do it that didn't make any sense -- like "oh when you signed up we should have charged you this, but didn't so we'll just not give you back your key deposit to make up for our mistake" (sounds like their problem, not mine) and really didn't seem to care. If they're that hard up for $25 then they need it more than I do. I'll keep the key on my key ring as a reminder to myself to not recommend them when people that are looking for a new club to join ask me where a good place to work out is.

These guys are nothing but used car salesmen. They will tell you anything they want and lie to your face to get you to sign up. They require you to go into the gym (during their limited staffed hours) to cancel your membership so they have an excuse to keep squeezing recurring revenue out of you. They will lie to you and tell you the $60 you are paying for the keyfob is a deposit, but when you cancel they will tell you you purchased it. For the record, RFID tags cost about $3 online.

The facility was quite nice, but I was roped into an 18 month contract that I wasn't allowed to cancel when both my employment changed (went from PT to FT and to a different county) and I moved to another county where there was no Anytime Fitness within a half hour. I was told I had to stick it out until the 18 months were over, and then realized I was still being billed long after I should have been ... apparently the contract said it would roll over into month by month biling, but I assumed I would have received some kind of notification when it was done; and I didn't. Over NINE months of fees gone, for which "they couldn't do anything." Make sure your lifestyle isn't going to change for the duration of your contract, because they won't let you out of it, and they won't do anything to help you.
