Anytime Fitness Downtown La Crosse has been an outlet for me in the craziness of life.

The equipment is solid, the space is always clean, and there’s everything I need for a good workout—whether I’m lifting, doing cardio, or just stretching it out. But what really makes going to Anytime DT worth it is the staff.

Becca, Joe, and Cal are seriously the best—always welcoming, upbeat, and easy to talk to. They make the gym feel more like a community than just a place to work out. I actually look forward to going in because of the positive vibe they bring. They’re always willing to distract me from a burning workout or push me to be the best I can. Couldn’t ask for a better crew!

These people texted my wife repeatedly to get her to come in for a free trial. She gets there, tells them more than once she just wants a trial and they tell her they're instead putting her on a promo they have but she can cancel within 14 days. Feeling super pressured she allowed it just to try and see if she liked it even though she told them she couldn't afford the full membership. She goes to cancel, and not one person can help her it seems like. Though they wouldn't leave her alone before she went in person, shes texted them repeatedly to cancel and not one person will reply. Don't go here. The gym is small, lacks equipment, parking is a nightmare, the sales people are outright bullies and intimidating. My wife has autism and isn't particularly good in scenarios such as this and she's terrified of confrontation so this is one of the worst experiences shes had in the past 5 years hands down.

Beware of disorganization & jumping through hoops just to cancel, been wanting to cancel my membership MONTHS MONTHS AGO & talked to a manager here months back about canceling my membership & was told I was in a 2 year contract so I couldn’t cancel until January 2024 which I believed, BEWARE they go through managers like crazy here, talked to one of the managers 2 weeks ago about canceling & was told IVE BEEN in a month to month contract which completely upsets me because if I would have known I would have cancelled MONTHS ago, now they made me go through hoops for two weeks & charging me a $46 dollars fee to cancel. Completely disorganized & untrustworthy organization.

Not only is this place more expensive than an average gym in la crosse, you will also jump through hoops attempting to cancel. They will continually charge your card after your contract ends, after you attempt to cancel in person, and 30 days after you write them a written request to cancel. Meaning, if your contract ended dec 31st, you will be charged on the 1st; assuming you wrote them requesting cancellation that same day, you will be charged again February 1st. When emailing customer support this is the email I receive back every single time: "This e-mail confirms that your request was received. Our average response time is five to seven business days". This is god awful customer support, this isn't what I would expect to see from an Anytime Fitness Franchise, and it's a shame to see a branch location hurting customer relations to this extent. I would recommend iron physique as an alternative.

The promotional offers Anytime has are scams. They tell you you can cancel before they charge you if you change your mind about the membership, but then make you email a separate customer service address because you can't call to cancel. lastly, after the email takes 5-7 business days for a response before they tell you that you aren't eligible to cancel. So thank you for charging me $250 to never use this gym again! I learned a hard lesson!

This gym has gone downhill immensely in the last year. NOTHING is ever clean or stocked. Bathrooms never have toilet paper, paper towels or soap. On the rare occasion they do they are just thrown on the bench next to the toilets. This gym isn’t sanitary. I don’t think it has had a proper cleaning in a LONG time. Garbages are constantly full. When you try to call the gym, doesn’t matter what time of day, no one ever answers the phone. Tanning bed has been broken for awhile. Toilets hardly function properly and are ALWAYS filthy. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone.

Staff here is very rude and disrespectful. I started going to this gym in 2017 the staff was absolutely amazing, and the gym layout was great. But there is new employees at this gym now and this gym has definitely went down hill tremendously. I do not recommend anyone going here. There is way better Anytime Fitness locations elsewhere.

Awesome gym! New building, super clean, tons of equipment always available. That staff is super friendly. The bathrooms are clean, comfortable, and accessible.

I don't go at peak gym times, so can't speak to how crowded it usually is, but when I leave around 5ish it's not too bad.

The selection of weights and equipment is excellent, over the course of a month, I only had to wait for a machine I wanted to use 1 time.

Okay facility but deceitful business practices. I tried to cancel over the phone on a month to month plan. Due to COVID they confirmed there was no charging. I made it apparent I did not want the policy charging again ,and I moved from La Crosse in early March 2020 (5 months ago). They never explained the cancellation form and now bring it up for the first time after noticing these charges as they just reopened. Standing behind policies that are intentionally left out of discussions after they get another month out of me is not the right way to operate despite being common for the fitness industry.

First visit to this gym, nice and big with lots of room, very clean, and all the equipment was in excellent shape. Sound system was very good, bathrooms very clean, and tanning room was nice. Nice selection of free weights, machine weights and different types of work areas. Along with punching bag, ropes, and carido equipment. Did not like doing the cardio in front of the big windows, only negative, but that is just me. Overall you will enjoy your work outs in this gym, with lots of variety.
