Worst gym i have ever been a part of. For the price I'd rather go to princeton, for better prices and more perks planet fitness. I'm glad I'm out, that 2 year contract was the worst decision I've made in years. When i signed up i wasnt aware that u was signing up for a 2 year contract. I had my key fob not work, my phone key not work and costumer service is atrocious; The worst of any gym.
The best decision I made was to pay the fee to cancel my membership here which was a huge ordeal but still better than continuing my membership with this gym. I will spend the rest if my life warning people about this gym and recommending literally any other gym. The only reason they have 4.6 rating is that they make new members leave a rating to to waive the Access Fee, making you think theyre saving you money.

Was a long time member, but when I chose to terminate my membership I was told by the club manager that because I notified them more than 30 days before my next billing cycle I would not be charged going forward. Unfortunately her word doesn’t mean much, because when I got billed again I left messages over a several day period before anyone even got back to me, and she changed her statement implying I didn’t cancel more than 30 days in advance and therefore I would be charged again. If you don’t get it in writing don’t expect them to honor anything.

The equipment, at best, is worn/second-hand. Touch screens are janky, front door key pass doesn't read. Staff is unpleasant (act more like bouncers than friendly/helpful). General vibe runs from unfriendly to borderline-creepy. Trying to freeze my account for a few weeks, I was directed to a third-party 800 #, waited on hold, talked to someone I could barely hear, to find I wasn't even in their system (almost like it was designed to keep people from taking a few weeks off from paying). Enjoy your one star review, guys. You earned it.
*EDIT* Reached out to the number in your response and they corrected me - pushing me back to "member services" the same third-party 800 # I had so many issues with in this very review. Not helpful. Go figure.

We joined anytime fitness for me and my wife to get more fit also she was joining air national guard and going to basic in about a year. So when talking about the contract they told us it's for one year after that it's month to month. We went in to tell them we would not like to renew because my wife was leaving for basic. Magically it became a 2 year that we would have never agreed for timing reasons. Never had any issues with the gym just very disappointed in there shady practices with the contract never again.

I just want to say I think the negative reviews at this location are pretty unfair given my experience. The gym is newish, all the equipment is in good condition. The staff works really hard to keep it clean. I've always found the trainers and personnel here extremely friendly and professional. This is really a great gym at an affordable price point. When people new to Madison ask about gyms I always reccomend Anytime Fitness. It's the perfect balance between an affordable membership and quality gym experience.

Not real price they sent you a message to come the prices was high but fine they told after time there’s an offer. In the first time I respect what the price but after they text me a lot about offer I don’t respect that
I it was in the month 40 dollars per month
Then I came after they told me there is an offer
They put it weekly 32 dollars that means 128 per month
Else the offer is going for enrollment fee and others fee
It is fine to be high price but not fine. to scam a customer to increase the price and told them there’s an offer

My multiple frustrations are too much for one review. ZERO stars if I could. Equipment is worn and needs updating. I was lied to about contract terms, we recently moved 26 miles away, so we couldn't cancel because it needed to be 30 miles. (has anyone done the drive time there!?, Absolutely ridiculous!) Buyout process is through a different company, a complete nightmare to work with. Wouldn't recommend ever getting into a contract with Anytime. The worst decision ever made.
