It's right in the middle of Mauston, super convenient.

Over all, I'm glad they are there and will continue to go. Some items I would like to see improvement.

1. Fix the broken machines
2. Get newer machines. The other locations put Mauston to shame.
3. Get new machine, and ab machine and curl bars would.be awesome. A 3rd curl barbell would also be awesome.
4. 1.25lbs plates would be welcome.

I have been going for over a year. Team members are awesome and welcoming.
I just wish they would improve the equipment. Tomah. The dells, barboo equipment makes Mauston look bad.

Amazing experience while using a guest pass while visiting this gym over the weekend from out of state! I was impressed with Kayden (the manager) in ensuring that I not only had a pass, but I was equally impressed with him reaching back out after the fact, to ensure that my experience was top notch. Many of the local hotels do not have gyms on site, so using this facility over the weekend was great! The gym was clean, had a vast array of equipment and the local patrons were super welcoming. If you are in the area, try them out. If you are visiting from out of state, reach out for a pass to keep your momentum going while you are travelling! Thank you Kayden, appreciate you and your efforts!

Really decent gym culture here, means a lot to me. Helpful staff, and good, challenging equipment. Also unexpected but really impressive was the personal alarms available if you work out during off hours. This gym isn't very big. They have a deadlift platform with a barbell for deadlifts only and some pretty fancy bumper plates. It's top notch for an Anytime. You can of course go there as freebie but if you're into supporting business owners it's only 10 bucks for a visit

I've been going to Anytime Fitness in Mauston for over a year. All staff members consistently exhibit helpfulness, understanding and encouragement. The environment is awesome and the enthusiasm from staff is infectious. The equipment is great to work with and if I need help to use it staff is readily available to answer my questions. In fact, they "go beyond the expected." Highly recommend Anytime Fitness in Mauston. You will not be disappointed!

I'm a traveling Sonographer. First, you have to sign up for 3 mos minimum, $280. The hospital canceled my contract, just two days after I signed the contract at the gym. I hadn't even used the facility. Went in to get a refund...they said No.

BTW, a patient told me that Snap Fitness in the same town is half the price and 24hrs.

I'm new in the Mauston area and was wondering where I should go to work out and let me tell you, this location is absolutely AMAZING!! The staff is super friendly and Linda and TJ made sure to answer all questions I had and even helped me set a course as to where I could reach my own personal goals. Group work outs are fantastic and even though it's not one on one Daniel took his time and helped me work on everything and helped ease me into every workout. I never felt like he was not there to help and I really appreciated that! There's a great selection of equipment and even a tanning booth and massage table! I'm so glad I came into Anytime Fitness and I highly recommend checking them out!! 😁

They are never here!! Husband needed to make changes to membership was told tohe HAD do it in person, we we're freakin here and no one is here to help people.... This gym was great at first! Until the pandemic hit! They charged me $56/month for the two months they were closed, which right there is a major red flag for a business! They claimed that they were adding those two months on to the end of my contract. Meanwhile they would freeze my account for two months, the maximum they allow. I argued with them that I doubted the pandemic would be done in two months and that I wanted my account froze until the pandemic was over and then I would continue my contact. Two months later I got charged $56 dollars again. They once again refused to refund me and said they would add it on to the end of the contract. After arguing with them again, I got them to freeze my account until (as I was told) that I felt comfortable coming in to the gym after the pandemic. Here we are, two months later, pandemic still surging, and I just got charged $56 AGAIN!!! Now I get to call and argue with them again.

On top of all that they are still charging me the premium price for use of the water massage table and the tanning bed even though they have this closed to the public.

My next course of action is to report them to corporate so they know how their independent owners are running/using their company during this pandemic. Next I’ll contact them to the BBB, even though they already have a one star rating on BBB because this apparently had been happening at multiple branches across the USA. I’m also going to start contacting local media to get the word out about how a company that claims to value their clients and community are really just thieves out to make a buck. Since the pandemic started, they have taken roughly $336 from me and I haven’t gotten any services in return unless you count bad customer service that doesn’t care about making things right.

It is not busy but the place is kind of small. I did cardio and there wasn't really enough room with just 4 people. The restrooms are ok but the hand rails in the shower was rusty. They need to get a bigger place because our was a big turn off on how small it is. But other than that it is nicely equipped expect they didn't have yoga blocks.

I experienced issues when I requested my membership be downgraded and while it took 6 months for this to happen and being pushed to the point of frustration and wanting to cancel altogether, I am happy with the resolution. I had a negative review posted and am replacing it with a positive one. The trainers are great, the staff is friendly, and the facilities are much better than other Anytime Fitnesses I have been to.

My issue was resolved, thank you. I appreciate how it was handled; however, it shouldn't take a negative public review to get customer satisfaction. Staff should also be able to refer customers to a "higher authority" when it is obvious they are extremely dissatisfied with local practices. (Raised star level to 3)

Original: SNEAKY & DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICE

The staff are friendly, outgoing and helpful, which is why I gave it 2 stars. As far as business practice, ZERO stars.

There is a typical corporate mentality when it comes to your contract, unfortunately. I attempted to cancel my contract in April after a piece of equipment was removed from the gym. I was not able to do so and was told I needed to finish out my annual contract and that they would make a note to stop the automatic deduction. I didn't like that answer but accepted that response.

Well, today, I was notified by my credit card that Anytime charged my card. I called and was told that in order to cancel, I need to come in to fill out a form. The contract explicitly states I need to notify them 14 days before my billing cycle. There is NOTHING stated in the contract about the need to go to the gym and complete a form. Additionally, even if I DID go to today to cancel, I would still need to be pay for this month, as the form wasn't filled out 14 days in advance. Sneaky & deceptive

When I said I refused and I asked to speak with a higher authority or for corporate's phone number. Neither was given to me, but I was told the form could be e-mailed to me so I can print, scan and e-mail back. I'm disappointed in their customer service, to say the least.
