The gym is in total shambles. I’ve been at the gym since before the buy out and after. They can’t keep a manager past a year, they can’t hire in enough staff or cleaners to actually make the place desirable. This location needs a huge refresh or to be cut as a loss and shut down. The only reason people still go here is half of them are grandfathered in from the previous owner to an unbeatable rate. The air conditioning doesn’t work at the far side of the gym, manager said it’s gonna be fixed for about two months now. Not even his fault, the corporate giant that owns it doesn’t care about the individual gyms. The bathrooms stink, the place is falling apart, the equipment is always just a little broken. There are trip hazards and mystery stains all over the place. The one saving grace is all of the acquired equipment that keep this facility as a respected powerlifting gym, for an anytime.

A true weight lifter's gym! Heavy dumb bells, 2 dedicated free weight training areas, light on the machines, and light on cardio equipment - perfection! The other members were serious about lifting and had good gym etiquette.

BEWARE: CHEAP OWNER, FILTHY GYM, EXPENSIVE MEMBERSHIP, BROKEN EQUIPMENT

This is by far the worst Anytime Fitness location I’ve been to. The owner clearly treats this gym as a passive investment rather than a business that requires upkeep and care. The facility is dirty, equipment is constantly broken, and the membership fees are high for what you get.

The worst part? I actually got a call in the middle of my workday from staff to complain about the number of wipes I was using to clean equipment. Seriously? Instead of wasting time micromanaging how members keep the gym sanitary, how about actually cleaning the place yourselves?

Other Anytime Fitness locations have engaged owners who take pride in their facilities. This is NOT one of them. The owner is completely absent, barely staffs the gym, and it shows. There’s one person in the office for a few hours during the week and a part-time cleaner, but that’s about it. Given how crowded this gym gets and how much they charge for memberships, you’d think they’d reinvest in better maintenance and staffing. Instead, they’re busy calling paying customers over something as ridiculous as wipe usage.

If they’re worried about running out of wipes, here’s a thought: Stock more or properly staff the gym to keep up with demand. Don’t push your operational failures onto members.

If you’re considering joining, do yourself a favor and book a tour before committing. You’ll see firsthand how poorly maintained this gym is.

At the end of the day, I should be getting thanked for wiping down the equipment—not harassed about it. Do better.

This place used to be good. It has gone downhill. It is the dirtiest gym I’ve ever been in. It’s the best in terms of leg day equipment of any anytime in the area but your risk of infection is high. Disgusting gym to be honest. Actually clean your gym and I’ll post a higher review. It’s incredibly disrespectful to your members to have a gym be this disgusting. It wouldn’t pass an inspection that’s for sure.

I like that they have a good amount of machines to use but this place is very dirty. They have dust stuck on the treadmills. The restrooms are always dirty. They don't put liners in the trash. At least at planet fitness they clean all the time. Very surprised that a anytime would be that un clean.

This is my gym. It close to home and has a good selection of equipment. However, there are ALWAYS things that don't work: water fountains, bottle fillers, showers that flood into the hallway, liquid chalk on the walls, they haven't filled the soap in the showers in months...but the people are kind, it's convenient, and they do clean. It's not terrible, just needs better maintenance. The current manager is nice and also helpful.

I switched up to this gym after the Xperience’s closed down. I use mostly weights and machines and this gym provides everything that I need. I love that although the gym is smaller it is never crowded. The staff work hard to make rounds and put stuff back including unloading plates when folks don’t do it themselves. I have also never been to a gym where I see professionals come in to clean everything as much as this one does. I definitely made the right choice in choosing this gym!

Since new ownership the gym has not been as clean as it used to be. Tanning bed is always down every other month or never cleaned. New ownership switched to the cheapest sanitizing wipes that dry out before you are finished cleaning the equipment. They had the quality wipes like two weeks ago that last entire workout but went back to the cheap ones. Clocks are off with no bother changing them. Will update review if things change but right now wish things were better.

Scheduled a tour for 11am. Confirmed and everything. Showed up at 10:55, no employee in sight. Office empty. Waited in the cold looking like an idiot for 20 minutes praying that an employee will pop up. Nothing. Needless to say I will never be coming back to this location.

I say this place is nice to workout and focus. It’s smaller and they have nice machines. However a part of me feel unsafe because their is not a staff there at all times. Also looks like it could use some cleaners to get a places together. I only did a 7 day pass and the guy who helped me had great customer service. He was personable and did a great job connecting. Just wish he was there at night but I guess that’s what make it anytime fitness. As a women I not too sold on the safety at night but I do like the gym during the day.

I've been going to the Anytime Fitness center on 60th and Forest Home for a few years now. The facilities fit my needs both physically and emotionally. I started out at just under 220lbs and now weigh in at a sustained 192lbs. Two motivations for this. One, I survived cancer and needed to change my ideas of fitness. Mike, the manager, is an amazing human being. His positivity and professionalism is reflected in all who work out there..

Updating my review, it is impossible to cancel memberships here. I have been trying for about 6 weeks and counting, ever since the lock on the door got busted. There is a corporate number you can call and they take your number to give it to what seems like a regional manager. They instruct you to call them back if he doesn't give you a call within a few days. I had spoken to him once before and scheduled time to come in to cancel (you have to sign something in-person). He assured me staff would be available for this. I showed up two different evenings during staffed hours, and no one was there. I ended up stopping the payments through my bank. I have tried to cancel responsibly, I've left several voicemails, but never got a call back. I can't find an email address for this locatoon anywhere, and now that my membership renewal isn't going through (thanks to my bank) I'm getting automated phone calls from the parent company requesting me to set up payment for renewal. I'm about to go through corporate yet another time to reach the regional manager. I will update my review if my cancellation becomes successful, but for now, this is the mess I'm dealing with.

This place has gone completely down. I miss Mike! He kept this gym so clean and organized, he was so friendly and welcoming, and he put a lot into keeping this gym looking sharp. The place is always a mess now, weights and dirt everywhere, bathrooms are disgusting, and it's rare to find all the wipes stocked on a weekend. Not to mention, the new owner ditched the protein bar with snacks and workout-appropriate energy drinks and put in a vending machine with nothing but SODA and sugary drinks!!!! Are you kidding me??? Do you care at all about health and fitness??

This Anytime Fitness offers a basic gym experience. It has an adequate selection of weight and aerobic machines, in addition to free weights. I have rarely found it to be crowded. Earlier this year, new owners took over. There is not much change, but I miss the friendliness of the former manager and his close attention to maintaining the property.

I heard a couple months back that the place was getting a new management and that’s when I realized some issues. Before everyone was on top of cleaning and maintaining the gym and was always so welcoming to the members. Recently I’ve noticed stuff like that has changed equipment every where, bathrooms really messy (one of them is missing a whole shower curtain and rod), not as welcoming energy from the team, etc.

This location is Not clean and on many occasions no wipes. After several written requests and face to face encounters with management, I have only been given excuses about why it is not clean. At night it does not feel safe, members loitering within the business for over an hour. People using multiple machines without cleaning them. The dust buildup on the equipment especially on moving parts restrict proper function. The drinking fountain has a recurring clog from "people dumping their protein shakes. " Excuses. Thr new owners told me they just acquired the business and "did not have time to get cleaning supplies. " This is simply not acceptable. It is not unreasonable to expect a reasonably clean gym.

I love the GYM. I think I was to used to Mike, the previews employee. He was very nice with everyone. Smiling all the time and everytime anyone came in he greated them. He always kept the GYM organized and all of the cleaning towels dispenser ready for us to clean the GYM. It is not like that anymore. He maked me feel home. I dont feel that anymore. It does not feel welcoming to go here. Dont get me wrong I will still going and personally that wont stop me from going because I love the place. But my suggestion will be for the new employees to maybe just say good afternoon? Welcome back? How is your day going? Customer service can go a looooong way. Again, we miss Mike.

I am giving the gym 2 stars so new members can be aware. I heard a rumor the gym may have been sold to a new owner.

This concerns me on several areas. Although there is no obligation to let your members know it would be nice to know it was or is being sold.

Two: I am hoping the new owners keep up the quality of free weights and machines as this AF is unique in that is has some great strength Training equipment and hope it stays going that direction.

Matter of fact I just paid an extra 30 dollars this month which all members do to replace or get new equipment. I sure hope to see something new in the gym and not yoga mats especially at 30 dollars a member you can get some quality equipment.

Three: The staff that was there everyday did a great job being personable to patrons and cleaning up and organizing ,after some lazy members who can figure out how to put weights on a machine but are to lazy to take them off and put them back where they got them from.

I will be keeping a close eye on how the future of this gym goes as my membership is up soon.

The owner of this location is unorganized. I cancelled my membership 2 months ago, and I am continuing to be charged month after month. I have called him multiple times to get this handled. I didn’t pay a cancellation fee of $330 so I could continue to pay a membership fee. This is the worst gym experience I have ever had. I believe I have finally gotten this handled, but it was a poor experience all around.

This made me sick. I went to the gym at 11pm and I got locked outside. I was thinking is there something wrong with my payment. So I check on my credit card. I found out this gym trying to charge me almost 900 for no reason ? I dont know what did I do they will charge me that much. What is most important. They charged me that much and I got locked outside of the gym. definitely will find a new gym and cancel this one. I suggest everyone should watch out their payment informations. The gym is bigger than it looks, they have a lot of new equipment I haven't seen at other gyms, open 24/7, and easy access/close parking. Prices seem very fair too. I did a 6 month commitment for about $250. They have 4 bathrooms in the back, 2 with showers, because the facility just isn't big enough to accommodate locker rooms. They have an area to store belonging, but it isn't all secure. There are 4 little lock boxes with keys, but no gym bag would ever fit. I just toss my bag in my car, which isn't a big hassle because there's such close parking to the door, but it would be nice to have a place to secure my gym bag.

Knowing the Anytime fitness franchise very well and visiting many of the locations around the country. I am a fitness instructor and I teach at many of the gyms in southeastern Wisconsin. I normally don't rate fitness clubs because most are pretty good in Milwaukee. But I have to say that this location has to be one of.the best I have visited. I live 16 miles from this location and I am sure I'm making it my primary fitness location. And I have to mention that I train everyday. So if your serious about training or just want a place to exercise once a week this is a place I would recommend you doing it at. I bad at remember names but a staff member who's been there for that past years was awesome. He was polite easy to talk to and he made his approach all about me and if I needed any assistance. I couldn't find the exercise balls.

I've been to several anytime fitness facilities over the years.. this particular location is by far the best.. the size alone is incredible considering they are typically a smaller gym.. it is very well maintained and is very clean.. the staff is friendly and professional.. i'm always greeted both entering and leaving.. they even chat it up with you if you're willing while you workout.. there is a ton of machines and free weights so even when it's busy.. you can still get a workout in.. I love how they provide protein and energy drinks in the fridge for the days that I can't get home to grab my own.. not to mention they're cheaper than your local retailer.. if you're looking for a great gym to call home.. this is it right here..💪🏽💪🏽

Couldn’t get in the door today, spoke to a nice man this morning who really wanted to get me a membership here. I asked if they were doing the free trial offered on the website, unfortunately the man said they are not due to COVID. Too bad, but he did let me know they could let me try it out today and see if I like it. Awesome, that’s all I needed anyway. Just to see if it was too cramped or made me feel uncomfortable in terms of people and atmosphere. The gentleman told me to come in after 3 and the guy who worked tonight could get me in and set up for a membership, and give me some fee discounts. Great!

I arrived at 3:15 and went up to the door, but it was locked. The sign said call about membership questions. So I did. I explained the conversation I had earlier to the man who answered, Mike I believe his name was. He said shortly I didn’t talk to him and that there were no guests. That sucks, I really wanted to get a gym membership today, but no reasonable person would pay $80 or more without at least inspecting the facilities to see that they are indeed adequate. I hope the people who go to this gym don’t have to deal with toxicity like I experienced on the phone daily. It fouled my mood so completely I couldn’t complete my workout this evening.

I hope you can see this, Mike, and learn from it. The fitness industry as a whole is gated so heavily, partly due to the fiscal backing the fad workouts have drawn for the last fifty years. I understand you may be having a bad day, just try and not take it out on your customers or future customers. Please don’t treat the man who provided false information too badly, he truly was just trying to help me out.

I wish I had the chance to give them a zero star. I enrolled into this and no one told me it will cost me that much neither did they give me the chance to review the policy. In my toughest time I pleaded with them to cancel my membership several times and they refused. Thank you anytime fitness that I have to pay $35.95 monthly before my policy ends which you never mentioned this at the time of registration. God be my witness and he judge you for your wickedness. I start my membership on March, I’m a mother of Irish tweens and I use to be really active before that, working out 5 to 6 times a week. It took me a lot of courage to go back and look for a gym that will help me reach my goals.
Do to covid the club close, I understand that but I was a new member and I literally when a couple of times, they keep changing for a service they where not providing. I try to contact them by phone and by text but I never got a response. When they open they never notified me and they continued charging my card. When I call to as for a re inversamente they denied my request and they said they will give me credit by the end of the year. I was not please with this and cancel my membership. I ask for my money back and they didn’t want to give it back.
I’m crisis like this you can tell witch corporations care for their members, any time fitness just care about money

I’m picky when it comes to gyms and my money. I’ve been going here for a few weeks now. This place is clean and up to date. It has a lot of equipment. It’s never grossly packed. I never have to share equipment. It’s a smaller establishment, but with plenty of space to move around and get your work out in comfortably. Air quality is great so you never feel suffocated. Locked entry for easy and secure access. Staff is great. I’m always acknowledged when coming in and out. The monthly fee is definitely worth everything you get. Overall, this is a nice gym and they upkeep it well.

This location is awesome! Spacious, organized, includes every piece of equipment you could possibly want, and there's a friendly community vibe. This is one of my favorite locations and I wish it were in my neighborhood!

Results. That is exactly what I have gotten since I've joined in January. Down 15lbs with another 15 lbs to go. The manager and staff are super friendly and have really helped keep me motivated and committed. I don't feel intimidated and really enjoy being a part of this gym. Also, this is probably the cleanest place ever!

The new owner here is doing an awesome job. This location is clean, tons of equipment - they've even expanded a whole section in the last year and have put in some really cool stuff. Been a member with AF for years, but over the last couple, super glad this is my home gym now.

Absolutely horrible gym. There are never any employees working and when they do work they do not wear anytime fitness shirts so you don’t know they even work there. Some man in a plain green tank top and a ponytail claimed to be a manager but refused to give any information, his name, corporate contact information or any kind of assistance. Very unhelpful and quite honestly very rude. Worst anytime fitness I have ever been to.

UPDATE: NO LEG TO STAND ON. $105 for NOTHING.

If you cancel your membership with Anytime Fitness in Greenfield, please make sure you have something in writing from them! They assume you are a LIAR. Last November, when I asked to cancel my membership, an employee of Anytime Fitness asked me to write a note on a piece of paper stating I was cancelling. I did so and handed over my keycard. After four months, I realized Anytime Fitness was still withdrawing $35 from my account every month! I called to resolve this with the owner and he told me there was nothing in writing, even though their own computer system says the last time the keycard was swiped was in November 2017 when I cancelled my membership and handed in my keycard. He is refusing to refund me my money and if I reverse my credit card charges, he threatened me with collections! Very bad business practice!

I want to warn any possible new customers to perhaps consider a different gym that respects your honesty and integrity. Don't make the same $105 mistake I did.

UPDATE: I went to Anytime Fitness and after looking through a bankers box full of contracts, notes, cancellations, etc., an employee and I were able to locate the cancellation notice hand written and signed by me . My checking account was then reimbursed for the funds that were withdrawn.

The owner called me and asked me to amend this review since the issue was eventually resolved by his polite, kind, and professional employee working for him.

From the start had problems. I was charged twice on my account two different prices on two different days. I called and called and called for a month. Leaving voicemails and finally one day someone answered. I explained the situation he said he would look into it and call me back. I never received a call back. On my email a survey was sent to me. I completed the survey with a very negative score. The next day I finally get a phone call and they keep telling me they only see one charge and dont understand why I say I was charged twice. I talk with abc with the guy from the gym and again it doesn’t get resolved. He calls me later and tells me he figured it out. My banking information was attached to someone else’s account and I was paying for this other persons membership. They offered a refund for this. Since it took forever to get a hold of someone I already found another gym to join and wanted to cancel with anytime. He told me I can’t even though I was told during signing up there was a 50 dollar fee which I was more than willing to pay. The manager calls me back and explains I cannot cancel. Which would of been the end of it but he decides to say to me, “ I mean you already have a low price like what’s the problem you can’t afford to pay your bill?” His tone was condescending and he was very rude. After that comment I get pissed and the conversation did not go well after. After he sees he can’t bully me and talk to me how he likes he changes his tone. I accepted I can’t cancel and didn’t want to waste my time anymore so I hung up. He calls me back tells me he’s suspending my account and I will be responsible for paying the membership fees for the full year but won’t be allowed to go to the gym. Before letting me talk after that he hangs up on me. The initial problem occurred because they don’t know how to handle members financial information. I’ve talked to corporate and we shall see what happens. I will never step foot into any anytime fitness again. The wac isn’t much more expensive and have many more amenities and much bigger gyms and are also 24 hours. I should of went there from the start.

Great gym. I'm a big fan of the personal showers. This location being open 24/7 is also a huge plus, seeing that I work odd hours and often workout late. Always fairly clean and rarely crowded.

Pro's: Clean environment, nice staff, free weight squat and bench, good equipment, open 24 hours.
Con's: Tanning bed bulbs not changed regularly, so it's almost useless to tan even though it's part of your membership fee. A lot of people socializing while taking up a machine. Came in a couple mornings where a group of older lady's who come to the gym (mainly to socialize) had brought in donuts... I don't want to see donuts at a place where I workout. Should be a no food policy or at least enforced if there is one.
