Alex and his team do a fantastic job of coaching and modifying the workout to fit where you are. I was honestly a little apprehensive to join as I thought this would be too hard on my body. The opposite has occurred and I feel better than I ever have. I am having to scale my workouts less and less as their coaching has allowed me to progress at a proper level. The workouts are challenging, yet highly rewarding at the same time. If you join you will not regret it!

I have had an incredible experience with the Baseline team. I was apprehensive joining a CrossFit gym in my mid 50’s but have found it to be such a great way to get fit. They are so supportive and scale any activity that I need to my performance level. Furthermore, the other gym members support each other, celebrating successes and pushing each other to reach or exceed their goals. After moving out of state years ago, I recently was in town on a business trip and had a series of wonderful experiences during all three of the drop-in classes I had time for.

Two of the three coaches were ones that I had not worked with, however when arriving prior to the classes I was greeted by the coaches by being welcomed and asked if I was me by name, likely based on me being the only unfamiliar face. To me, knowing that the coach for the class was aware of expected drop-ins was a good sign. After being greeted, a few questions were asked to ensure that any lingering aches, recent injuries, or anticipated accommodations/needs were discussed up front. The intent definitely came across as a sincere interest, to make sure that I would be safe- and that (if needed) any adjustments or alterations to the workouts or movements could be made.

During the workouts themselves, I definitely noticed the coaches noticing me- beyond just verbal encouragements (which were by name). While it may’ve just been me being overly sensitive, it felt like the coaches had a genuine sense of responsibility or duty to ensure that I was being safe, and I very much felt was if I was part of the gym, and not just some random extra fee being collected.

While I cannot speak to the programming as a whole, the three days I attended were well programmed and taken together complimented each other very well. The programming had included a mix of dead lift and pulling movements one day, pushing and running the next, with the last having a hip extension focus that included both pulling and pushing elements.

I am looking forward to being able to drop in again next time I am in area.

I initially joined the gym because the CrossFit model provided the variety of movement that I was craving in my workouts. Additionally, the CrossFit programming is quite adaptable for whatever fitness level someone is at. However, with working out at Baseline, I quickly realized that I was improving my mental health just as much as my physical health.
The culture that Baseline has grown is one thing that makes this gym so unique. EVERY coach cares about each individual succeeding and achieving their best selves. They push me on days that I didn’t know I could “dig deeper,” and support me on days that I simply just show up to move. This upbeat/positive atmosphere established by the coaches is incredibly infectious!
Another distinctive reason Baseline is so special is the training itself. The workouts are thoughtfully planned out and use the entire hour; it’s so efficient that no minute is wasted. Coaches come fully prepared, ready to lead each class, and thoroughly teach through the different techniques every single time. (It’s impossible to feel lost!)
Baseline is truly a rare gym gem and now I cannot imagine going anywhere else. Thank you, Alex & Morgan for your leadership in building this unrivaled community!

I have been a member at Baseline since 2019 and I absolutely love every part of it! Alex is an amazing owner and coach, he makes every single person feel welcome and cared about. I have a really bad shoulder from years of being a softball catcher, every coach is so understanding and easily helps me with a modification to certain movements so that I can still get a good sweat on and not further irritate my shoulder. My favorite part of Baseline…is the people… so encouraging, fun, non-judgmental, and they turn into your best friends ❤️

My son and I have really enjoyed Baseline. We learned about this gym from Morgan as she was my son’s teacher. They offer sessions of CrossFit Kids and my son loves them. They made it very fun for the kids. Seeing how they coached those classes encouraged me to take advantage of their Bring a Friend week.
I joined Baseline in February and have been very pleased with my experience and would recommend! Alex and the other coaches do an amazing job of showing and explaining the different movements in each workout. As many have stated, they do a great job at scaling the movements. I was nervous about participating in a class workout but the coaches take the time to work with you and ensure you feel comfortable and challenged.

This gym is: where I am challenged to do not only more intense work than I would on my own, but to do it better and with integrity of movement at all times. I've improved my lifts, mobility, and endurance here. Great facility with high quality equipment, showers and 24/7 access. The owners are all-around professional, full of integrity, honest and responsive. I'm impressed over and over. Classes are diverse and you can feel comfortable as a total beginner or a wizened CrossFit junkie. You need just look around the room to KNOW that this is a place to come and do the work, give and get support, and learn from pros. I had the opportunity to meet with the owner of Baseline Performance, Alex, when he invited me to come in and observe a class. We first met via video so that he could share some information and better understand what I was looking for. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable and he took the time to discuss with me what is obviously a great passion for him—helping others to attain their wellness goals.

When I arrived at Baseline Performance, I was greeted by Alex and given a tour. The facility was clean and the people were welcoming. The environment was very supportive of people in various stages of their fitness journey.

I was able to observe a class that he was coaching that evening and, in between time spent with participants, he took the time to share additional information and answer my questions. I had a very positive experience and it was clear that the participants were comfortable with Alex and enjoyed taking classes there. As I was leaving, Alex and some of the participants cheerfully shared their hope to see me again soon at one of the classes.

I would recommend Baseline Performance to anyone who is interested in the CrossFit modality. Their schedule has weekday, weeknight, and weekend availability with a reasonable price structure. If looking for a fun and affirming atmosphere, regardless of your current ability, check them out!

I have held memberships at several gyms over the years. Baseline is in a league completely of its own. I was terrified to walk in the first day. I didn’t know anything about weightlifting or structured cardio-and I certainly didn’t want to be clueless in front of a group of experienced people. I’m not sure how to put into words how different Baseline is. It doesn’t matter if you are a competitive weightlifter, beginning athlete, or couch potato-Alex and the coaches make the program work for you. You immediately become part of a team. The other members aren’t there to show you up-they are there to encourage and lift you up. There is no intimidation-no judgement. If you can’t do a push up, the coaches modify in a way that still challenges you without making you feel “less than”. Having a coach present allows the confidence to try new things without the fears of getting hurt, doing it wrong, or looking stupid. This isn’t just a gym. This is a place filled with members who want to become stronger together, coaches who want to see you succeed, and owners who have such a passion for health and for each individual member, you will realize immediately that you aren’t just a monthly payment or member number. If you need a place to find yourself, grow mentally and physically, and find accountability-Baseline is 100% the place for you.
