It was still in decent condition, and clean. So, of course, it's out of business as of August 2018.

Equipment is always broke more than it works. Bathrooms are dirty and smell horrible. AC does not work and it's terrible to work out here in the summer.

Stay away from this place very unhealthy, dirty, machines do not work and are old as hell. Staff lazy as can be at the front desk. Thank goodness i left and now at a clean gym with actual human service at the front desk.

Would give less than one star if possible. Apparently the A/C has been broken for about 5 years and nobody cares. Working out there during the summer is miserable unless you enjoy the feeling of working out in a stuffy sauna. The machines are old and break often. The place is not clean. Front desk employees (the only employee in the whole place usually) always have earbuds in and donβt seem to care about anything. This place has been getting bad reviews for years and nothing has gotten better. Donβt let the cheap price or convenient location fool you. Not worth the trouble.

Some great instructors still teach classes but in general it's grungy and lots of equipment is broken. No air conditioning in the main areas makes for an uncomfortable workout.

This is the only gym any where near me that actually has EVERYTHING you need as far as working out goes. It's almost never crowded because of how big this place is and the price of membership is great, sign up fees initially is what's going to cost you though. They have a summer deal online where you skip the fees and pay a flat, 3 month rate so that is amazing if your looking for a short term place. Gym staff is in top of insuring place is clean and weights arnt laying all over the place like all the ither gyms. Be aware that cancelling with them has been an issue in the past, and is normally a hassle so make sure you give your final date to them and fill out paperwork inside the establishment and check frequently that it actually went through or you'll be paying more than you intended. But even with that said, hands down will always pick this place over anywhere else

Takes weeks to fix a machine that's out. A lot of the times there's no one at the desk to service you with any question or if you want to tan. Same tanning bulbs have been out for 2 years now. Dont know if they have replaced them at all in that time since they're still out. Would be nice if pool was available.

Great price for a membership with access to a lot of equipment and space. Friendly staff. However, when canceling my membership due to moving, I found the cancellation process to be cumbersome. I suspect it has more to do with Blast as whole than this location in particular. I discovered a year after cancellation that I was continuing to be billed for membership. Per company protocol, I was told I wouldnβt be able to get that money back unless I could find the emails exchanged between myself and Blast regarding cancellation a year ago. Iβd assumed their records should reveal our communication about cancelltion or that they would take my word for it when looking at my account and seeing that o hadnβt attended Blast in a year. I was able to find the emails and have the money returned to my account. Blast did give me a little extra cash which it wasnβt communicated if this was an error or compensatory for customer service issues. The whole process was more arduous than I expect it to be for a company with multiple locations. I do appreciate Ryan, the manager, for seeing the process of my money return through to completion. I think Blast as a company needs to work on making cancellation of membership easier, like just calling to cancel should be enough. And also to be more organized in Customer Service. There I donβt know if Iβd return to Blast again considering all of the hurdles I had to jump.

Plenty of parking. Friendly and smiling staff greeted me upon entering. Tons of cardio equipment on the ground floor with area TV's easily in view. The upstairs has a track to walk/run and all of the free weight and other lifting equipment you'd ever need. I don't have kids but the child care would be useful if I needed it.

They charge for personal trainers, whereas planet fitness trainers are free. They come with your membership. Also, upon signing on, no one gives you a one time service to show you how to use the equipment properly. You're pretty much on your own in there. Then some days the front desk has no one there to service you. You sometimes have to find someone to help you. But, this is not a bad place to workout. Nice environment!!!

The entire place needs to be cleaned & repaired from top to bottom, inside & out; dead bugs in the light fixtures for months; LOTS of dust on walls, windows, vents & overhead fan; the men's bathroom smells awful & the urinals bearly function; roof leaks badly; machines slow to repair; staff sometimes friendly & sometimes cleaning (understaffed?); pretty decent amount of weights & machines to use; cheap. I've seen it go from Vic Tanny / Bally's to Blast and this place & business is a disgrace. I've seen a well run workout facility.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!
They make it hard to cancel and keep taking money after you notify them of cancelation multiple times. I had to put a stop payment on my account to prevent them from taking more money.

Good: Gym is conveniently located, average monthly price, free parking.
Bad: 30 day written notice to quit, but you can't just email management to quit. You have to go in there and fill out an official form and send to corporate. They don't tell you that, and they don't reply to your email. You have to call or ask to find out. Dated facility and equipment, somewhere between dirty and clean, not friendly but not mean either.

Little deceiving. Photos show monitors on each machine but they don't work. Also only one cleaning station in the cardio area. Looks like few if any people clean the machines after using. Gym generally looks old and desperately needs an update.

This gym serves its purpose it will give you the results as long as you put forth the effort. It's not the cleanest but they try to keep it clean. I do like the fact that they have an entire floor dedicated to weightlifting (lots of free weights) and the other to cardio. Now the locker room is another story, hey it serves the purpose....it has lockers, toilets, urinals, showers (which all I use it for is the lockers) but the amount of wrinkly old people with excess back hair walking around completely nude in the men's locker room is disgusting....and waking around in bare feet....have they never heard of bacterial infections lol.....so be warned.... you WILL see disgusting things and its not very clean...just get in and get out lol and do your part to prevent the transmission of bacterial and staph infections.... honestly for the cheap rate I believe it's a good place and I recommend it for the price.

Good value for the money, convenient but they close early on Friday. Decent weight selection. Good amount of treadmills & ellipticals, but not enough bikes or cable machines. They got rid of pool a couple years ago. Staff is slow to repair broken machines & slow to clean. I wish the running track was solid instead of padded.

It's an ok gym, they have a free weight section with one squat rack Abd the rest of the gym is all machines.
When Blast took over they got rid of the pool and sauna.
The place is not the cleanest but for $10 a month it's a pretty good gym.

Belonged for several years. Had to quit because I moved our of state far away from a BLAST. I went to the gym and cancelled my membership. They neglected to inform me that I had to call ABC Financial and email them the form that was given to me when I cancelled at Blast. Being that is was a 9.95 payment per month, I missed that on my account for a few months.
Good gym... untrained/ knowledgeable staff.

I've been a member for a week. Fitness classes are very good, friendly, laid back. The teacher is nice and pushes the participants. Everyone is friendly in the club. Very large, tons of windows, lots of equipment. Staff is nice, young. I love the teacher and fitness classes. I've belonged to about 7 gyms and these teachers are the best. Also, friendliness is tops.

The group fitness classes and instructors are great, but the building is falling apart, the equipment is old, things are constantly broken and indefinitely awaiting repair. Compared to the other two Blast locations in the Milwaukee area, this place is a complete dump. If it wasn't for being the only gym with childcare within reasonable distance, I would take my business elsewhere.

The club changed from Bally's to Blast 2 1/2 years ago, not 1992 as another review implied. The cleaning is OK for a gym. You are no more likely to get an infection there than anywhere else with a high volume of people using the same equipment. Clean the equipment with disinfectant provided and wash your hands to be safer.
The availability of free weights and dumbbells has not changed. They are still there on the 2nd floor. There are many new treadmills and elliptical machines that came from a closed club in Chicago. Many of the older weight machines have been slow to be repaired over the last 2 years. However, a recent change in management has seen worn machine pads all replaced and some new dumbbells added for classes.
The main issues I have seen recently were no hot water and climate control. Hot water was resolved. We will see about climate control as the weather gets warmer and again when winter returns.
All in all it's a good value for the money.

Horrible. Barely any dumbells or free weights. According to the staff "they were stolen". Most of the machines are broken. And the staff allows a man to walk all around the gym and use equipment with nasty bare feet.

I have just read some reviews and totally agree. It went down hill fast and it is a very steep hill.
But I enjoy my classes, class mates and the instructors very much. I have been with Vic Tanny, Ballys and now Blast since 1992. The location is very convenient. I can only hope that they shape up sometime soon.

Worst staff ever. Even complained to the headquarters. Obviously from the reviews they didn't do anything. The gym also smells extremely bad. My friend got a bacterial infection from there! Be careful! Seems like it hasn't been cleaned for years. Equipment are in poor shape also. Might be cheap, but not worth it.

This used to be my gym for 7 years until it became Blast Fitness. It is in a very convenient location, however the maintenance dropped tremendously. It does not have a swimming pool or a whirlpool anymore (Not a very smart move by the corporate office). Sadly I had to join another gym that offers the amenities this gym once had.

Maintenance and equipment repair seem to be low priorities. Reports to staff in February about machines in need of repair seem to have fallen on deaf ears as the duct tape and curling ribbon I've been using to rig up the machines since March are still in use. On the other hand, props to the staff for providing me with a paper clip when I told them one of the machines was busted.
