I registered my wife and daughter-in-law for a beginner's class. Bob suggested I and my son join to observe the class and reinforce to them things he taught them. Bob spent two hours with us, going over grip, stance, and swing. He provided training aids to help in understanding and getting the proper feel of the concepts. He reviewed my and my son's grips, stance and swing, and suggested ways we could improve also. My wife was concerned she would miss the ball. Both my wife and daughter-in-law left after each hitting roughly a bucket of balls, satisfied they were having consistent loft and distance. We had a fun time. Both are looking forward to more classes.

I took my teenage son and nephew to hit a bucket of balls, and upon mentioning that they were trying to work out their slice, Bob took the time to talk to them about their grip. He showed them the proper steps to correctly hold it, and discussed why each part was important. The boys were thrilled with their improved hits and can’t wait to go back and practice more.

I went to Bob's the other day after a challenging day at work. He took the time to talk with me and even showed me a few things to work on with my swing. Bob is a genuinely good man and runs a meaningful operation — it’s more than a normal driving range. My definition of quality is "Making the customer believe they are getting more than what they paid for." I went there for a new wedge and bought a wedge and a lesson. I definitely received more than I paid for. I live 2.5 hours away and am looking for excuses to get back to that area. What an experience!!!

I stopped by to hit some golf balls and ask about getting a club regripped. Bob asked me to show him how I grip my clubs took some time showed me the proper way to grip the club , he took a measurement of my hand and informed me that my grips were actually small for my hands, all my grips were the original grips. He let me try one clubs he had there with a larger grip on it. I hit some balls with that club with the larger grip and the pointer's on how to grip it made me decide that I need to get all my clubs regripped with larger grips. With the tip that Bob gave me and the new grips I straighten the majority of my shots out, I had a much better round. Robbie did an excellent job with the grips and I'm looking forward to more improvement in my game.

Recently had my clubs extended and re-gripped with Bob and Robbie. Their group is extremely kind and helpful and take the time to hear you out and offer their advice. On top of that they were able to have my clubs finished and ready to go in less than a week. I am very happy with how they turned out excited to use them moving forward. Absolute class acts.

Hitting mats are in very poor shape, to the point you can't even place a ball down without it rolling around. Generally not very friendly service, but good location. Need to invest some money in the range mats and take better care to provide good bucket hitting surfaces during the summer. $20 is too much for a large bucket given the conditions.

Got the chance to take a second of Bob's time today and he put his own personal situation aside and talked to my kids about golf and even took time to find them clubs (all under 9 years old). Bob is a local legend let alone just an amazing man. I took all 3 of the kids again all under 9 and they had a blast! Family friendly and they even have sitting chairs for anyone that wants to watch or if you have a kiddo that comes along.

Bob is one of the most caring individuals I’ve ever met to start with. His knowledge of the golf game and how to swing a club properly is more advanced than any golf pro I’ve ever come in contact with and the time spent with him is ten times more beneficial than watching a video online of how to golf. He will teach you the proper grip and swing plane. Most importantly he will show you after video analysis what you are lacking in your swing to be able to hit the ball clean and crisp. He helped me realize that my grips size on my irons were too big, and helped me to lengthen my irons because they were too short, it made all the difference. On top of what Bob has to offer with teaching golf, he also makes some of the finest clubs money can buy, and I would choose his clubs over any Callaway set or taylormade set.
Bob also just simply cares about people. I didn’t just get golf lessons from him, I got an experience of a life time. His background in working with the likes of Arnold Palmer and many other greats in the game of golf makes him the most experienced teacher out there. I am proud to call Bob Burns my teacher and friend. I could go on and on. But lastly I want to say that his son Robbie is also an amazing club maker. If you ever need help with anything Robbie is equally as eager as Bob to help you with any questions you might have regarding golf. I can tell he’s learned so much from his dad. I’m 75 years old and play a lot of golf. Lately my average golf score has been creeping up to 92. It was a happenstance that my nephew-in-law introduced me to Bob Burns, so I decided to go to Bob for a golf lesson. Bob started out with the grip, then used a variety of training aids to get the feel of the swing, and next were the swing videos. Seeing my golf swing was a jaw dropping experience that made me realize that change was needed. Two weeks after the lesson my average score had dropped to 84. I hope to continue lessons because I think there is still room for improvement even at my age.

In short, Bob Burns is one of the more genuine people I've ever met, and he runs his business in a way that reflects it. The shop is nice, the people are friendly, and the range gets the job done. Also, my interaction with him made me into a life-long customer and gave me a memory that will last a lifetime.

I came to hit a bucket his range while home on leave. Bob correctly guessed I was in the service and thanked me for it, but it doesn't stop there. While at his range I shattered the shaft on an old driver and was looking to buy a new one. Mr. Burns took it upon himself to find me a club, which he refused to let me pay for! We talked for a long time about my time in service and all the good he has done for veterans for decades. This man is a true patriot and has made an impact far past his local golf community.

I had known about Bob Burns driving range and golf lessons for many years before actually visiting, and I am SO glad I finally went. Bob was there to open up the first time I went, and I was just getting a bucket of balls to hit, and to find out a bit more about the lessons he offers. He asked me several questions about my history of golfing, and asked what I would want to improve. Before I could hit my bucket of balls, Bob gave me some quick pointers and tips about the basics of setting up to the ball, and I immediately learned I had been doing things slightly wrong since I started seriously golfing about 10 years ago. Even those few tips created a massive improvement in my ball striking. A few days later, I had my first formal lesson with Bob where he recorded and analyzed my swing and was able to very quickly identify my swing faults, and what needed to be done to correct them. The explanations he provided were clear and concise, and the training aids he has on site are excellent tools to help you feel the correct way to hold the club, set up to the ball, and complete a full golf swing. After we went through the drills, he had me hit a few balls on the range, and when I did, my slice was corrected, I was even actually able to get a bit of a draw on some shots and I was able to get more power in my swing, which gained me a good amount of distance. I am ecstatic about the progress I made with just one lesson, and am planning to continue to see Bob for ongoing lessons to further improve my golf game. I 100% recommend Bob Burns to golfers of any skill level looking to improve.

Bob is a fantastic instructor. I have taken lessons in the past from a few other instructors, but nobody has been as effective in helping me understand the golf swing. Bob explains elements of the swing in very simple terms, has a variety of effective training aids which he incorporates into the lesson, and provides several easy drills to complete outside of the lessons. I have noticed significant improvement in my swing in only a short period of time.

From my experience there they don't treat their customers well. And from what I saw their employees well either. They were Very late and delayed with everything. Whether that's clubs, waiting to hit, lessons, phone calls you name it. Very disorganized small business. Their grass and hitting range is poorly taken care of. The balls are low quality. Lack of shine and very dull. Poor quality to hit. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are lots of great golf ranges and club stores. This is not one of them unfortunately. I gave them a try hoping for a good result and found myself all around disappointed unfortunately. If you want to give your dads or husband a gift I wouldn't recommend anything from here.

Hit a bucket today at Bob Burns golf range. Right side of tee was the only place you could hit from grass. It was full. Center and left wide open and mowed short.....but they said mats only from there. Mats in July? Went to right side when a spot opened and the grass was longer than my backyard?? Then the putting greens were so hairy and long it was not worth trying to roll anything. Terrible shape, even for a driving range. I live near this place and WILL NOT go back.

Bought a set up clubs that Bob said would be done in 2 weeks. After 8 weeks, several visits and several unreturned calls and emails later still no clubs. A refund needed to be obtained so I could take my business elsewhere. Business must be good there because they gave ZERO indication anytime I visited them that even wanted or cared about my business.

Did (paid) 2 lessons with Bob though real only got about 3/4 of 1. 1st lesson helped but was interrupted multiple times so lesson took almost 2 hours. 2nd time he double booked so after waiting and waiting and waiting with multiple interruptions got about 10 min after 4 hours. Bought 4 lessons from Bob, used them, bought another series of 4 lessons from him, I had to go out of town and could not use any of lessons, never went went back after I paid 250.00 , I contacted Bob's business 2 times and no return calls, 3rd time I called I said I want to resolve this and talked to Bob's wife, they worked out a credit for a friend to use as I was out of state, when the credit was to be used Bob said he knew nothing about it, even though everything was listed on a piece of paper from my phone call prior. This time I called and Bob did return the call, he tried to tell me the lessons were used and he has the dates listed. this is impossible as I was not even in the state of Wisconsin. He said he would look into it and call back, again no call back. I stopped in Sept 30th as I was back in Appleton, Bob again tried to tell me the lessons were used and was going to show me the dates he listed, this again is impossible as I was never even back to Bob Burns Golf until this date due to being out of town. I explained this to Bob that the dates he would show me are not relevant. Bob became belligerent at this point, so I said I am not going to deal with someone who acts the way he does and left. I would never do business with a person such as this.
