Body Language Pilates is a fully equipped Pilates studio in Bay View, Milwaukee. We offer small-group mat and equipment classes, duet, and private lessons. Our mission is to design safe, inviting, inclusive spaces to joyfully rediscover your mind/body connection through intentional movement.

I first started coming to Body Language Pilates about a year ago with a goal of getting stronger and becoming more flexible. This is the first form of exercise I’ve stuck with this long and it’s all thanks to Sami and her team!! She makes Pilates class so much fun and with her attention to detail and form I know that I am doing everything safely and in a way that is best for my body.

Sami and the instructors here are great! You get a great workout and I'm not usually sore or achy the next day. But I have noticed in a short time (less than 2 months) that im getting more toned and definition that I had lost during a few years of not working out.
I feel stronger and have noticed that I'm not sore after doing things (like household chores or lifting luggage) that used to make me sore or wear me out.

I really value my time working one on one with Claire. She has helped me gain so much strength and stability in a few short months that I had lost due to a long illness.

I recently moved from San Diego and was on the hunt for a new Pilates studio—and I’m so glad I found this one! I’ve been practicing mat Pilates for years and started reformer about a year ago, so I was looking for a studio that felt both welcoming and knowledgeable. This place totally delivers.

What I love most is the intimate, focused atmosphere. With fewer reformers, the classes feel much more personalized, and the instruction is incredibly attentive. Sami was amazing—super helpful and welcoming from the start. She gives clear cues, offers helpful feedback, and really makes you feel seen in class. Everyone I’ve met at the studio has been so friendly, which made the transition into a new space feel seamless.

Whether you're just getting curious about Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. I felt comfortable and supported from day one, and that kind of environment makes all the difference.

I’m one of those people that has never been good at keeping an exercise routine, I get bored at the gym, and hate sweating. I thought I would never find an exercise that I looked forward to.

A month and a half after starting classes at Body Language, there are few things I look forward to more than being on the reformer! Sami is very patient and great at explaining the how and why of the movements. The space is very welcoming and cozy, and if you are lucky there will be some studio pups there! The workouts are varied so it’s impossible to get bored, and the studio playlist is fire. Easy parking is an understated plus!

After missing a regular Pilates class for several years, I found Body Language Pilates in my own neighborhood and I’m so glad I did. I’m back to a weekly semi-private and it’s amazing. Sami is one of the best Pilates instructors I've ever learned from. She keeps classes fresh with an astonishing variety of movements and ways to use the reformer, and has the kinesthetic intelligence necessary to suggest subtle body adjustments that can transform an entire movement into its most effective version. Sami is amazing. I like how she aligns my body into the proper position and watches to make sure I don't fall out of position. This really helps me to use the proper muscles. I really like how Sami can explain exactly where and how I should feel while doing an exercise.

I can't say enough about Sami and Body Language Pilates. Sami is an incredible teacher who manages to both push you to grow in your Pilates practice while keeping things fresh and new and fun. Sammi is amazing! She is well-trained and has a great understanding of the physical body. I have osteo arthritis and fibromyalgia, and her classes are catered to keeping me moving, and working within my limitations, yet challenging me as well. Cannot recommend her enough.
