Prior to joining Burn, I was involved with various different gyms/workout centers. I would always be disciplined for about a month or two and then my attendance would fizzle. The community, atmosphere, and trainers at Burn have motivated me to actually WANT to show up at least four times per week for the last 18 months. The workouts are fantastic, organized, and packed into 45 minutes. Joining has been one of the best decisions I have made for me.

Burn Middleton is such a welcoming community! The trainers are amazing and will meet you where you’re at in your fitness journey. Always modifications for every exercise. It’s the best thing I’ve committed to and has allowed me to stay consistent with my health goals! 45 minutes of YOU time! The hardest part used to be getting in the door sometimes, but once you’re there, the daily protocol takes the guess work out of what your workout will look like. I now crave this in my daily routine! Also love that they offer childwatch, I never would have been able to commit to a gym membership without this option - my daughter also looks forward to going to the gym every day :)

I have been attending Burn Boot Camp Middleton since October 2024. I had previously been a member from 2018-2019. My experience has been awesome. The trainers are good at what they do and their energy, enthusiasm and support are world-class. The owners, Colton and Sammi Jo, have created and maintained a welcoming environment that has a community feel. They care for each member and make sure to customize the member’s personal journey. Burn Boot Camp Middleton is an exceptional community. In the eight months I have been a member, I have been so impressed with the workouts and trainers leading the way. The trainers do a great job remembering your personal history and checking in with you during workouts. They push you to achieve new goals and celebrate your accomplishments in a comfortable group setting. I have done - and taught! - many different types of group exercise, and Burn Boot Camp in Middleton is truly one of the best!

Before starting at Burn, I used to work out at home doing just a few things like pushups, pullups, body squats etc. and I could tell it was making a difference, so I never thought I needed to commit to working out anywhere.

My wife started working out at this location and kept telling me how good of an experience it was and to try it, but I still told her I'm good at home and don't need to waste our money.

Eventually I thought I'd try a free camp just to see what all the hype was and compare my health to others thinking I would crush the camps, and wow was I wrong. Each camp is another challenge and there are many other members there that have either been there for years to help push you towards your goals, at your same level, or members just starting out.

Since the very first camp I have not only been addicted to the energy and positive environment that specifically this location in Middleton provides but also what it has done for my wellbeing outside of camps as well. I'm more proactive at home, more conscious about what I'm eating, not partying as much, and been told by friends/family I seem much happier. I’m mainly introverted and already on a first name basis with all the instructors and many of the other members.

The instructors/owners are amazing as well. During the camps they are always running around making sure everyone is using the proper form, checking in to see how we’re doing, or giving us that extra push to do those extra burpees or increase the weight. They also offer focus meetings that come with the membership where you can sit down with one of them, talk through your goals, diet, supplements, habits etc. to get you where you want to be. They also aren’t pushy at all when it comes to buying their products. I’ve been a member since April 2024 and get the feeling they genuinely want what is best for me. I’ve talked with them about other products, and they’ve never pressured me into buying something there. I still do purchase things there during the sales/promos but not being pushed into it is a bonus. Even the staff working the front desk give you a warm welcome when you walk in.

I look forward to every camp Monday - Saturday. I go in the morning, so it starts my day off right and if there ever is a time where I must miss a camp, the rest of the day is kind of a drag. I still try to do stuff at home if we're traveling or busy but it's not the same.

Overall, I highly recommend it and if you do decide to try it out, I hope you have similar results to my experience so far.

I was timid to go try something new. Working out wasn't new to me, but two kids and a pandemic put working out on the back burner.

My first class everyone was honestly welcoming and not in a fake way, truly supportive of each other. The second class was the same way as well and I bet the future classes will be too!

The workout was full body, not boring and left feeling much better mentally and physically and better able to tackle the rest of the day.

Ill be back!

UPDATE!

It has been about a year now since I first started these classes.

Although it clearly has helped my physical strength, coordination and ability to keep up with my kids, I didn't realize the positive impact I would see in my mental health, an increase in energy and increase in sleep.

There are a lot of familiar faces in the class and its inspiring to see others in the class as well doing the daily activities.

All you have to do is show up, listen to directions and do the activity. Each day is different, everything is set up and ready to go before each class so they make it easy to be there.

I went from dreading these classes to having it become something I like to start my day with as often as I can.

I absolutely love working out here. The protocols are different every day and are a perfect mix of strength and cardio. The trainers are the best and always ready to meet you where you are at - pushing you harder or helping you modify due to an injury. I have been in and out of a member at Burn for about 5 years now! Starting with one of their ‘commit to fit’ and ‘raise the bar’ challenges, then off while training for a marathon, then came back and did countless at home workouts with trainers through the computer screen through COVID, then off during my 1st pregnancy and postpartum journey. Then back for my second pregnancy and now postpartum again. All in all to say Burn will welcome you with open arms wherever you are at in your life/journey and will understand if you have to come and go! They will help you work through modifications (pregnancy or injuries) and are always there to motivate with a smile, more weights, or a high five. Coming back to Burn right before my 2nd pregnancy was the best decision. Working out pregnant and early postpartum is such a hard time to stay motivated when you’re so tired and raising a toddler, but seeing the smiling faces when you get to the gym, and taking that ‘me time’ is everything. They offer 9 camp times M-Th, 8 on Fridays, and 3 on Saturdays so there’s always a time that fits for everyone. Free yoga, focus meetings, inbody scale, events, weekend camp schedule on most holidays, kids camps, fundraisers, dress-up days, you name it. You don’t want to miss out on being a part of this special gym family. Come join us!! You won’t look back after you do.

A few months in, I can say I'm for sure happy with my decision to become a member at Burn Boot Camp Middleton. The trainers are upbeat and supportive, and the gym space is clean and airy. I joined to boost my mental health and physical health, both of which are uplifted by each camp. I'm also glad they have yoga two mornings a week for an active recovery option. It's the perfect complement to higher intensity workouts. I've also made nice friends from Burn, which was also a hope in becoming a member here. The trainers encourage community building, which is great!! Love this gym.

Great workouts, great trainers - the prices are SUPER steep, though. The cost of a monthly membership at Burn is 2.5 times the cost of either Harbor Athletic Club or Princeton Club. The community at Burn is great, but a membership at one of the other locations (Harbor/Princeton) still offers more amenities for my entire family and at much lower costs than Burn Bootcamp. The instructors and their motivation are also great, but while they encourage modifying the exercises to fit your abilities, there isn't any kind of form correction or specific exercise instruction, so there is a barrier of having some base knowledge of how to do these exercises correctly and safely prior to joining. To anyone looking for a workout opportunity, wait for their seasonal deals and in the meantime shop elsewhere for a membership.

Update: I’ve been coming here since 2020. I enjoy the many options I have to book a class. The weekly protocols are well prepared. This is a professional and welcoming place. I feel part of the BURN family. I don’t have to worry about what workout I need to do. I just feel motivate to show up and workout. The modifications are very helpful as I listen to what my body needs. I feel stronger and accomplished. Just met the 100 camps in Oct for 2023. I love this gym! I joined January 2023 to prepare for a 15k Tough Mudder after only running and doing yoga for years. This is the best gym I have ever belonged to. I moved to Wisconsin from the east coast and was quickly introduced to what they call “midwest nice.” Everyone at the gym was so welcoming - including the members! I felt like I joined a family, which was so comforting when my family was over 600 miles away. The trainers are absolutely incredible and motivate you to do your best not just on the floor but throughout the day. The workouts are tough with plenty of modification options. When I started a year and a half ago, I was modifying down majority of the workouts, but today I am amazed at the progress I’ve made as I modify UP most movements! It is amazing to have a coach that stops and spends time with you to make sure your form is correct so that you are not only working out safe, but targeting the correct muscles. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Been working out in health clubs for 35+ years, and very few have I experienced owners/employees who work so hard at getting to know each member, making each experience fun and enjoyable (including holiday dress-up "theme" week - ha ha!!), and overall encouraging each individual to really push themselves. Each day's routines are always working a different muscle group, and its never the same routine twice.
Sammi Jo, Colton, Ann and the rest of the staff always have a smile when my hubby and I walk through the door. I tried Burn Boot Camp in Middleton for the first time during the summer of 2019. I had recently lost some weight and decided that I wanted to take my walking to another level. I was skeptical as I had been a member at a Madison based gym in the past and I did not find it was a good fit.
From the moment I entered the doors I was welcomed, greeted and supported by the receptionist, trainers and attendees. After several classes I found the workouts to be amazingly challenging, inspiring and feel good.
I became a member after a short trial and through the last several years with changes in my own personal life, I continued to find myself feeling at home attending Burn camps.
The workouts are like no other. I have three children active in sports and they have attended a few camps with me and cannot believe how hard they are. (This gives me pause as I always feel challenged and I appreciate that even as adolescents they are challenged.)
I may not look like a typical gym attendee and I know that I am a work in progress but attending Burn makes me feel strong and the support at the gym for one another is inspiring. I cannot always do as many reps, or the same as everyone but both Colton and Sammi remind me that I am me, and help me do what I can. They modify the moves so that everyone can achieve and feel challenged, and Sammi regularly recognizes when a 12 lb weight probably isn't the most I can do.
There is really something special about Burn Boot Camp Middleton and I encourage you to come and see for yourself. Attend one camp with Colton or Sammi and I guarantee you will want to come back for more. I have been a member since 2019 with a short break due to a family issue and I cannot imagine finding another place like BBC-Middleton. Thank you for always making me feel like I can even when I am not sure that it's possible.

I have been a member of Burn Middleton for over two years. When I started I was not an active person and was frankly scared to join a gym because I was so out of shape. From day one I was welcomed by the trainers and other members. I quickly realized that no one cared if I modified the moves, used lighter weights, etc. Burn truly is for everyone, and the amazing trainers are always there to help check your form and give you the modifications needed to have the most successful workout. Burn Middleton is an amazing atmosphere. The trainers keep you motivated to push yourself and the members keep one another going through tough classes. The combination of cardio and strength classes keeps things interesting and you are never bored. The classes are all fast-paced to keep you moving and challenging yourself. After the organized sports phase of my life, I have never been consistent with working out and could never find "the thing" that would keep me coming back and make me actually look forward to doing it...until Burn Boot Camp in Middleton! I have been coming to Burn for over 3 years and not once have I left regretting having gone. Every single day and workout is different, explained and demonstrated by the trainers as each camp starts, with modifications to accommodate everyone. The community of men and women working out with you is unlike any other gym - you will find encouragement, support and comradery no matter which camp time you attend. The trainers (looking at you Sammi and Colton) are engaging, encouraging and fun! Sometimes that "fun" looks like continually bringing you heavier weights, increasing your rep count or adding a crazy modifier, because they know when and how to push you to be and do your best. I highly recommend the trainers and staff at Burn in Middleton. My morning workout at Burn is something I look forward to everyday. The workouts change everyday and I never feel like the workouts are repetitive. I would have a hard time self-motivating to do 45 minutes of strength and conditioning on my own at home - the motivating group atmosphere is energizing. I'm not sure where I would be without Burn Bootcamp in my life!! Its by far the best workout I've ever done and you feel like a true member of a community when you join. I love everything about it... I love the 45 minute camps and how every day is completely different workout. I love the childcare (when my kids were younger), I love how easy and assessable it is. I have been a part of burn for two years now, doing a year at home over zoom (thanks covid) and have felt encouraged whether in gym or at home! The trainers are inclusive to all fitness levels and push everyone to be their best. Super encouraging environment and community from day one. Best workout in the Madison area. The trainers are personable and take the time to check in with each client, tweak workouts to their abilities and push them to the next level. I've been a member of the Burn Boot Camp - Middleton community for over two years (and I joined when I was 20+ weeks pregnant!). After searching for *years* for the right strength workout fit for me, I finally found it! I would have raved about the team and trainers, the workouts, and the community prior to COVID, but they have truly been shining so bright over the last year (March 2020-March 2021). I am unbelievably thankful for how well the team & trainers continue to pivot to accommodate Zoomers and those who feel comfortable being back at the gym. Their communication, dedication, and motivation to the Burn members have been second to none. Thank you for being such a bright (and sweaty!) spot in so many days during the pandemic!

Great atmosphere....very welcoming ! Trainers are awesome and really help you to get better within your own set of goals. They also are great at helping you break your fitness boundaries!!

I love that it's a place that women of all abilities can go and achieve more than they thought possible!!! Keep it up burn trainers!! Men are welcome too at a limited number of daily camps.

The burn app answers all questions of if it's a co-Ed camp time and if childcare is available for a particular camp. It also informs you of which trainer will be leading a specific camp and what style of workout will be happening on a particular day.

A number of membership options are available including punch-card option, 12-18+ month memberships, and drop-in options. They also offer a 14 day trial as well.

Trainers here are quite good and helpful
They also offer child care while you are working out which is a bonus . They offer 2 weeks free in case you wanna try out before committing for longer duration. This place opens pretty early in the morning.

Burn is an amazing community of women (and men) who support and encourage each other to push and improve themselves everyday. I’ve always been active, but I’ve never looked forward to working out like I do now.

The trainers are enthusiastic, energetic and approachable. They understand everyone has their strengths and weakness and are able to easily supply modifications to help clients achieve a great workout.

At other gyms, I felt uncomfortable. They were so impersonal and I thought everyone was judging me. Burn is the opposite. I was pretty nervous and intimidated to try Burn for the first time, but my only regret is not joining sooner. They welcome new members with open arms and make you feel included from the beginning. I have been going to this gym since it opened a little over a year ago now. Each class is different and each day of the week works a different part of the body. Each week is also different as the protocol varies each week. I have been able to accomplish more in one year at this gym than any gym previously. I not only can do more during my workouts, but I have also learned more about how to eat properly and what works for my body. I attend camps up to 6 days per week when I am able. Overall I am happier, healthier, and have more energy to keep up with my two young kids!

Horrible !! The mats made my arches so sore that I couldn't work out and there is no way to cancel the membership. I would not recommend!
