Elite Sports Club-Brookfield is the first of the five Elite Sports Clubs. Established in 1986, the club has gone through multi-million dollar renovations and additions several times. Our members have stayed with us through these upgrades as Elite Sports Clubs became the leader in family health, fitness, and tennis in Milwaukee. Many of our members have been with the club for over twenty years—something we are very proud of—thanks to our friendly & professional staff, and our state-of-the-art facilities.

If you are looking for a traditional gym experience, this is probably not the place for you.
Over the past few years, holding my membership, it feels like Elite caters more towards families and children/childcare services than they do to fitness members. Yes, they have equipment and classes, but there are often children in the gym. During the summertime, the children run the place, overseen by a staff leader. Groups of kids occupy the gym, basketball court, fitness rooms, pool, and outside area. I like to check the class schedules and use the fitness rooms when there is occupancy, but the children's camp has no schedule posted, and I was not allowed to use the same space as them, nor would I really want to work out with kids playing anyway. The number of younger children, however, does lessen once the school year starts again.
Besides this, it takes ages (weeks-months) for broken machines and equipment around the gym to be fixed.

The management is terrible. I've never seen the office workers out and about, only heard them on the radios as they call for things that didn't need to be taken care of right away. I'd really recommend taking your business elsewhere, they only care about taking your money here/

We like that they have childcare available. Facilities and grounds need major upgrades (weeds everywhere, dingy carpet and locker rooms, not high end, things always broken with open work orders for multiple weeks).

Favorite gym ever! People are courteous and give you plenty of space while working out. It doesn't feel like anyone is on top of you or judging. Great for single tennis players with the wall board, singles & doubles!

Called them on Dec, Jan 31, and Feb 4 to cancel my membership but was told different info for every single one.. all those called but were never once informed about their cancellation request form till I emailed someone. The front desk is awful, very clueless and rude.

The club is grossly dirty. On weekends there are classes in the gym and it is disgustingly dirty, so are the bathrooms. On Sunday 12/15 there are vomit in the gym . The mats should be thrown away. The Spin classes instructors are making a miracle because there is not enough light unless they leave the regular light bulbs on. It is disrespectful, we don’t have enough light to set up the bikes and use part of the class helping each other with our phones’ light.

Love Elite. It’s a great place. Great, helpful, and friendly employees. The music in the gym area is pretty crappy. They need to change it up, and play music to appeal all different ages, like 70’s, 80’s, Country, Soul, Blues, Disco, Rock…, not just modern day hip hop type.

The instructors are skilled and very helpful. The main problem with the Elite Club is with management and the changes they've made. Mistakes with billing are hard to correct. You can no longer get an answer directly from a staff on the phone but have to leave messages.

If I could give this gym zero stars I would. The equipment is old and out dated from like the 90s. Their reservation system is awful. You’ll reserve a spot for your kids and then show up and there’s no reservation. This happened multiple times and they just blame you and say you screwed it up and they can’t do anything about it so you just have to walk out. You pay for a gym membership for your family and can’t even go. The locker room is old and out dated. The classes offered are poor quality. Their membership is severely over priced. They make you sign a year contract which they are not upfront about and can’t get out of. Save your money and go somewhere else.

We have a family membership and absolutely love this place. It is very family oriented. We recently had a birthday party here for our twins’ 7th birthday. Porscha and Kate were amazing and took care of everything! We did the pool party and the kids had a blast. The smoothest any bday party has ever gone. Well organized and kept the kids on task. Definitely worth it!!

Good place to workout, they have recently worked to revamp their facilities calendar and have more of a consistent schedule for the basketball court and tennis courts. The childcare has been great as well. In the summer, they have a nice pool with cabanas and a snack shop.

I tried to cancel my membership several months ago but no one would answer the phone or respond to my messages. Eventually I cancelled the credit card I had on file due to continued the continued payments. I was informed a month or two later that I would be taken to collections. I tried numerous times to reach out to the general manager Andrea but she refused to get back to me. I asked several other managers who were unable to resolve my billing dispute to have her call me. I ended up paying for the back payments and getting the cancellation finalized. What is most upsetting is the fact that after spending $150/month for 4 years the general manager thinks her time is too important to talk to customers. To hell with this place.

Instructors are all wonderful! They get 5 stars but ..... no air circulation in the small rooms. The fans they have are too small,- house fans ceilings are low so no ceiling fans, you are so uncomfortable that is is hard to work out to your full potential.
Simple solution is industrial floor fans to circulate air thruout each room.

It' s not possible to pick a favorite class, there are so many awesome classes and instructors!
Jill Jelinski's Cardio Blast - delightful instructor and great work out!
Adrienne Schoemann's Kickboxing - A must try class, Adrienne is great at demonstrating moves! Her positive energy keeps you smiling all day!
Deb Klimko Cardio Interval - Deb is a high energy instructor who keeps you moving and keeps it fun!
Cara Pliskie - hats off to Cara, very motivational instructor with many great classes like Butts & Guts, Strength Circuit, and Spin Express. Cara is very innovative with different moves in her classes, and always encourages us to do better/more.
A zillion thanks to all these instructors for all their efforts to make us more fit, and have an enjoyable experience!

I’ve been here for tennis lessons for over 2 years and used to play at the WAC in Hartland. I’ve found the coaches here to be much more experienced and well-trained. They have a very strict guideline of cancelling tennis lessons though and will charge you full price if you don’t cancel far enough in advance for whatever reason.

Facilities are nice, but do not sign up if you are a parent hoping to work out in the evenings. I have never been able to reserve for my children to attend childcare (I wish I could do a Zumba or spinning class) because they are always at capacity and the baby reservations are not available after 2pm. I have heard that the childcare ratio is 1:8 but I have seen over 15 kids in there with one adult, especially if their parents work at the gym. Fun place to swim in the summer but the baby pool is ice cold!

When there is a billing issue, especially when they over charge, not only will you not receive your credit, the won't answer the phone and won't respond to emails.
This behavior would seem to indicate they are having financial difficulties.

Excellent gym. Love they provide towels for working out and showering. Shampoo conditioner blow dryers lotion qtips deodorant hair spray. I don’t use it all but if I forget and item it’s great to have! Many play tennis so the equipment is always free and they have great new ones. Classes are many. Only improvement would be to have the water lounger/massagers be free since other less expensive gyms provide them for free

In 1947 a youth of remarkable beauty was born in Thal, Austria akin to an Adonis his name was Arnold Schwarzenegger. He immigrated from his war torne country to America in 1968. He filmed the worst D movie ever put to celiuode; Hercules In New York City. Arnold then began Pumping Iron and successfully became a 7 time Mr. Olympian. Shortly after he married into the Kennedy family and became the 38th Governor of California. I will not achieve any of those goals with the stress of high monthly membership fees, lack of really great free weights and nautilus equipment.
I won't be back

Warning bunch of deceitful scammers charging for service you do not use! I was charged upwards of $500 for NOT using a free childcare service with prior knowledge or explanation (NOT IN THE CONTRACT). Every time my kids could not come to for the free childcare service we were being charged per child for not showing up. Many times they could not provide the childcare service because the teenager didn't show up for work but when we could not come we were charged. Also they have an 8 children to one adult ratio and that one person cannot effectively manage all those kids. My kids were soiled so many times because that one person cannot change diapers while watching the other children safely.

We signed up our daughter for some tennis lessons, and now that they’re finally done we’re not planning on ever going back. The lessons were fine, nothing special about them, you would think for the price they would be a lot better. They put my daughter with the younger kids because she was a beginner, even though I asked to sometimes have her with her age group because I could tell the younger group wasn’t really learning much.. they completely ignored my request with no explanation. That isn’t the reason I’m not going back though. On the very first day, the person at the reception was super nice and said that we didn’t need to check in when I told her we were there for tennis. Well a few weeks pass and someone else is sitting up front and she is extremely rude! She gives me some serious attitude as I walk in “excuse me, can you check in??!!!” As if I’m walking in to rob them of their ridiculous lessons. I said “we haven’t needed to before but sure” she said “well now you do!”.
When I tried to tell guest services about her rudeness.. you won’t believe what he said. “Yeah sorry but that’s just how she is, deep down she actually nice”
What?! Terrible customer service. I wish I knew her name. She works at the front and has her hair in a pony tail usually. No thanks, I’d rather take my money elsewhere, so glad we’re done with you guys.

Not at all an “Elite” place. The women’s room has had a broken bathroom stall since April, things are rusty and dirty, the basketball area has defective flooring (where the ball doesn’t bounce right) and when you bring things up to the staff they tell you “it’s not their job.” For the Elite price you pay, you get a very mediocre experience. Can’t wait for our year to be up!

We are newer members and have signed up to work with Jen Cook for personal training. She is wonderful! I've had severe back problems for a few years and was hesitant to start a work out program. Jen listened to my issues and started me on a gradual program to strengthen my back. Her gradual approach has been working and my back has never felt better! I look forward to continuing with her training.

I've been a member since 2010. Owners up until the recent sale in 2019 were very very good. They kept equipment up to date, repaired and clean. Once the sale was completed to out of state ownership, it has been a downhill slide. Positives are location and the handful of, less than six, employees who have stayed and try desperately to keep it rolling. Negatives, where to begin... Men's locker room is filthy, dirty, and unhygienic.Mold in showers, bugs when it's warmer, and urinals left uncleaned for weeks. Many of us have complained and submitted evidence. We receive professional responses and there is a slight improvement for a day or two only to fallback once more. We are told new cleaning staff has been hired this week. I hope they show up and do a great job. I hope they put this club back on track. If not myself and I suspect others will vote with their feet.

The tennis courts have become less and less available since this fall. It is extremely difficult to book a court on a weekday evening. Plus, Man’s lock room needs some serious repair work. It used to be an excellent club. I am not sure how long I want to stay any more.

The staff is very nice and supportive. The overall facility is neat and well maintained. The 3 starts rate is mainly because the worsening condition for tennis facility , which is now very crowded and hard to book . Even you paid for unlimited tennis play, in reality you are very limited by tennis court availability. It is not fair for club members who joined and paid mainly for tennis play. They definitely need improvement on this.

At the Brookfield Elite. Terrible Staff, unprofessional and rude. Kicked us out of the gym because I accidentally reserved the wrong childcare facility. I drove an hour to workout and pay $200 a month to be kicked out because they are “understaffed”.
Also told my child she can’t have a snack because they save the snacks for parties whilst all other elite childcare facilities do give the kids a snack (which is expected) also they don’t greet you or your child friendly. Barely even say a word to you when you drop your child off. I would give them a zero but unfortunately there is no option for that. Also this is the first time I’ve ever left a bad review on anything, that’s how uncomfortable I am about the situations that have taken place at the Brookfield Elite Sports Club
