This gym desperately needs better cardio machines. The ellipticals are very outdated and janky. Theres 1 good one and that one acts up sometimes. Need arc trainers. This is like stuff they picked up off the curb someone was throwing out

No pools, but everything else is great. They have large indoor tennis courts, lots of fitness equipment, a basketball court. The child watch area is great for the kids.

Josh is a very personable, welcoming young man. It always starts my workout there well to be greeted by an employee who cares about the club’s members.

Front desk (Ben) shut our tennis court lights off as soon as our court time was up in order to force us out of there. It was pitch dark until we had to find our way to the main lobby. We weren’t allowed any time to pack as the light were shut within one minute after the court time end. Friend hit the wall trying to find his way out. Once we asked what was going on, the staff was unprofessional and told us “We needed you guys to leave”. I was dismissed by front desk without an apology and was told the manager would call me. Nobody called. Complete liability disaster as this club has kids and elderly people playing tennis, as well.

Never enough hand towels.

I LOVE Amy Hill - never lose her and pay her more!!! She is the reason I go everyday!!

Steve and Bruni are also AWESOME!

These trainers are all motivating and passionate about fitness. I have learned so much about my own limits and always use them as a good source to tap into. They are always available to help.

Customer service is extremely poor. I’d rather go to YMCA where they do at least respect you and treat you like a human, not a trash.

Pre pandemic I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth going, however a lot of the spaces became ‘reserve only’ which really bites when you’re paying the price you do on a year contract. Overall it is a solid gym especially if you’re into tennis and have kids involved. Weight/gym equipment is a little cramped but gets the job done. The facility is clean and well kept, staff there are incredible in all my experience.

My criticisms are primarily regarding the tennis offerings/club system but the gym itself is solid

Lack of tennis tournaments for adults, when I first joined they ran a few adult singles/doubles tournaments yearly which were always a joy and involved all the elite clubs in the area, but they stopped that almost completely. They have tons of beginner tennis adult socials and things but competition is something you have to make on your own which is weird for a club with such a high tennis focus.

I asked about these coming back was told they had no plans to do singles tournaments.

They do have “leagues” you can drop in, but you’re paying $20 a match on top of your membership even when court time is free during the summer. And thats if these leagues are at one of the elites you’re a member at.

The fact that you can only go to the other clubs 4 times a calendar year is also absurd. I’ve heard theres an ownership change semi recently so maybe thats the cause of somethings but overall it feels like the gym is charging more but providing less and less as time passes.

Decent gym. Its the contracts that I have an issue with.
I felt unsafe working out with so many people who did not have their masks on, and given its a gym, there was a lot of sweat and panting. Despite not feeling safe and wanting to cancel, they insisted I paid the entire amount. Not offering any kind of forgiveness during a global pandemic is a shady business practice in my book.
I would put your money towards a gym that actually cares.

I have been a member for 2.5 years. The front desk people are nice. I joined primarily for winter tennis only. My complaint is that the tennis rates have increased again recently beyond normal adjustments by the new owner during a pandemic that has negatively affected the incomes and work benefits of many members. This is quite disappointing.

Will not let you put your membership on hold during covid 19 pandemic...not willing to just extend from when you restart...regardless of how your household feels about indoor public spaces. Too bad too sad is their answer. Great customer service.

I took my granddaughter to the event that was advertised as a Free event in a public event page. We were turned away saying that the event was for members only. When I expressed interest in membership I was refused a full tour of the facility. I will be making a Google review. I was considering a membership but now I will never join this club.

They do a great job, I appreciate that Milwaukee has a family program for Tennis. It costs a bit more, but in some ways the price segments out headaches you would find in lower price facilities. We go here to relax, who wants to feel overcrowded and stressed when your trying to relax. So in a weird way... I like that it costs a little more.

Nice facility and great offerings of programs! The only down check was that the head tennis program guy should be mindful to observe some basic correspondence courtesies when it comes to customer emails and inquiries. Not responding in a timely fashion is one thing...not responding at all is pretty bad and does not leave a favorable impression of the club as a whole esp. from someone who is the "head".
