I came here for a yoga session just a few days after a car accident, and it was exactly what I needed. It was a slow, gentle flow perfect for healing and reconnecting with my body during a retreat. The experience was truly amazing. The teacher was incredibly kind, and the environment felt like a sanctuary so peaceful and comforting. I’m deeply grateful for this space.

Embody Yoga is an amazing place to connect, be in community and focus on wellness. The instructors are encouraging and welcoming. I feel confident and accepted at the level I am at while also being challenged and cheered on to grow and try new things. I am grateful for Joanna and the Embody Yoga team. I especially enjoy 5:30 AM hot yoga with Daniela!

I was seeking a home/studio to enhance my practice. Little did I know that making the decision to practice at Embody Yoga would change my life entirely. I've been practicing with the studio for over a year now and I can say with certainty that I feel welcomed by the staff--they have amazing energy, (very angelic like). The space is spacious and filled with beautiful plants. The music is great! Even the clientele of Embody Yoga is lively and vibrant. The studio offers various classes to cater to a variety of people. Beginner Yoga, Introduction to Pilates/Reformer classes, Hot Yoga, and Restorative Yoga to name just a few. There is something there for everyone looking to develop their mind, body, and soul. I've taken over 150 classes since joining and it's safe to say I'll be taking more! I hope this review was helpful!

Wonderful yoga instructors from the founder/owner Joanna over to her beautifully crafted team. Great environment and classes have been the tradition for years. From Beginner Level class, to both unheated/heat yoga & Pilates classes, to step classes and hit yoga sculpt - all the way over to Son Salutations first Sundays. There’s a men’s group too! Early mornings and evening hours. Excellent variety of classes. Highly recommended! Come ready to grow and gain in so many ways.

Embody Yoga (Pilates) is a space that not only nurtures your body, but also your sole. Joanna and the team of teachers all “embody” a welcoming spirit, and are professionals who ensure your body receives what you signed up for and often your spirt receives what you didn’t realize you needed! Highly recommend!

5 Stars – A Healing Space for All
I can’t say enough about this beautiful Black-owned yoga studio. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, seen, and safe. The energy is peaceful, the space is calming, and the instructors are not only knowledgeable, but they lead with so much intention, love, and authenticity.
What I love most is that the studio truly embodies inclusivity—it’s open to all, and it celebrates community in a way that feels genuine and grounding. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, there’s a space for you to breathe, move, and be present.
This studio has become more than just a place to practice yoga—it’s a place of restoration, empowerment, and connection. I’m so grateful to have found it. If you’re looking for a place to reconnect with yourself, supported by culture, community, and care—this is it!

I have been going to Embody Yoga off and on for years! One word that I can use to describe it would be “HOME”. It always feels good to return home. The community is always so welcoming from staff to other students despite what level they might be. From yoga to Pilates to stretch classes… even yoga in the park during the summer; EY is near and dear to my heart. Highly Recommend!!!

I highly recommend Embody Yoga! The first time I visited, it was such a welcoming experience to walk into the studio. Multiple people greeted me and the owner, Joanna, personally said hello, asked me which class I was going to, and showed me where to go. The studio is beautiful- love the hanging plants!! And I love the classes, a good combination of physical practice as well as a focus on other aspects of yoga, like listening to and being kind to your body.

I love this studio and everything about it. Joanna and the other instructors are amazing. This is an extremely safe place to come work out. I have never felt judged on my level of fitness and my physical appearance. I have always been encouraged on my abilities and given pointers on how to get better. I look forward to every time I go workout. I am always challenged and feel so good when I am done. Thank you Joanna for all you do and for creating this space!

This place was EVERYTHING!!!!! I attended a beginners class with Jamelia, the instructor was very patient and kind, music on point, heat on point. The studio was nice and clean, mats were available for use with cleaning products. If you are just getting into yoga or just want a nice workout, this is the spot for you. I would give this place a 10 stars if I could.

Wonderful studio, dedicated practitioners, and an amazing experience. Thank you for providing me with a scholarship to allow me to experience such a wonderful family and providing me with the tools to optimize my physical and emotional well-being. I also appreciate the scholarship you provided me with and the dedication you have to make your studio inclusive to all walks of life regardless of background, yoga experience or socioeconomic status. You truly do embody what yoga stands for and represents to the core.

I did the hot yoga and it was SO GOOD! The instructor walked around and even though there were a lot of people in the studio, I could alway see her to adjust my form. It was a good workout with many different poses. I have done a lot of hot yogas in the city and this instructor mixed things up differently than others, I really liked it. It was hard enough but the instructor made sure we were listening to our bodies so I pushed myself just enough. Really great yoga session!!

Tucked behind the main building are two beautifully appointed yoga spaces. One room temperature space with several hanging plants (I didn’t practice in here). And the hot yoga room where I practiced was at a perfect balance of heat humidity. The best part was the subdued blue lighting which gave the studio a warm water glow feel to it. Joanna, the studio owner, led our class with grace and clear yet warm dictation. You can tell her soul and care has been put into Embody and I’m so grateful I finally popped into the space. Additionally the drop in rate is $15- allowing a more accessible price point than the majority of studios in the area. I plan to return in 2023. Oh - everyone at the studio said hello and good morning as well. That was lovely.
