I began training at Fitness Solutions almost exactly two years ago. The progress Iβve seen in my own physical ability, mindset, and education has been so incredibly substantial. I came in with a strong movement background, primarily in yoga and Pilates. The training I have received at Fitness Solutions has not only increased my awareness of my own body and biomechanics in general, but has also improved my ability to relate to any functional movement practice. Throughout my training, I have gained significant muscle mass and physical strength, I have learned how to effectively train to meet my goals, and I have learned how to properly balance and structure workouts and movement in general. Most importantly, I have learned to trust the process. Whatever the process, whatever the current goal may be, training and making incremental progress with incredible coaching, guidance, and comrade has been the best improvement in my day to day life. Matt McKenzie is an incredibly insightful and intuitive trainer, and has created an amazing space and community within Fitness Solutions.

Matt is a great guy and very knowledge about the proper exercises as well as injuries. He is quite friendly and and easy to talk to.
The gym atmosphere has the guidence of personal sessions but also the relative flexibility of what you want to do. After teaching the exercises and the correct way to do it in the first couple days, he trusts you to do them on your own, but he is still around to guide you and keep an eye if you are doing anything wrong.
The only unfulfilled promise is free beer on tap.

Matt is the best of the best for a fitness trainer. Even the session is a group, he would pay attention to each person and suggest whatβs best for each. His class is also good for preventing injuries. His passion and knowledge for being fit changed my gym life. If you are in Madison and are looking for fitness, fitness solution is the answer! I wish I could rate 10 stars.

Matt loves what he does and his passion shows in his work. He wants the best for his clients and spends his freetime thinking of how to make workouts better and more fun for the clients. He talks with his clients one on one and makes sure goals are being met individually. If something isn't working, he makes some changes. He encourages people to listen to their bodies and go with what works. He knows everyone has different body compositions and he incorporates these differences in the workouts. I have never met a trainer more passionate about helping others. When I went on vacation, he sent me with a workout package to help me and got in contact with me upon my return to see how things went and if it helped with the workouts. He motivates everyone to put his/her best foot forward and take it easy on days he/she isn't feeling up to it. I honestly think taking his class has been the best decision I have made in terms of taking care of my physical health. I encourage everyone to take Matt's class. You won't find a more hands on trainer and I certainly would challenge anyone to find a better overall person whom I am now fortunate enough to call a friend.

Working out with Matt has been great. Matt is very passionate about what he teaches. Matt well guide people to make your exercise experience, making sure people are doing things right to prevent injury. Matt is amazing at customizing your work outs to meet your goals. The small group is an idle work out environment, where every work out is different, but very rewarding. Just in the month I have been working out with Matt I have lost close to 8 pounds or close to 3% of my body weight. Thank you Matt you are amazing.

Working out with Matt was one of the best decisions I've made this year. Before signing up for the daily workouts I was fairly active, but suffered from a constantly sore lower back. On day one Matt worked with me to pinpoint all of my fitness strengths and weaknesses. From there, he gave me personalized attention every workout to address my weaknesses until I got to a place where we could really develop my strengths.
Matt's format of daily group workouts is great because it gives you a relaxed environment to develop into a healthier person. Too much individualized attention from a trainer and you'll never learn how to take care of yourself. No individualized attention and you'll keep making the same mistakes. Matt is able to strike the perfect balance allowing you to get whatever you want out of your workouts.
In the 6+ months I've been working out at Fitness Solutions, I've had the opportunity to see Matt train people of every shape, size, age and experience level. His ability to make you feel like you're the only person in the room, no matter who you are, is unparalleled.
If you're looking for a personal trainer or weight loss solution in Madison, I'm confident you won't find someone better than Matt at Fitness Solutions.

Matt is awesome! I liked doing an assessment and making fitness goals which you don't get at most gyms. Workouts are fun, he changes things up so you don't get bored! I highly recommend Fitness Solutions!
