May 2021 - Carl turned the Covid lockdown into a transformational experience for me. When the gyms closed, I took Carl up on an offer to do video personal training instruction. Carl has long utilized video for his clients. From the start it was challenging and personalized. After 1 month my mind had cleared and several lockdown pounds had disappeared. Five months, I would not trade these workouts for my old gym experience.
June 2022 - My personalized workouts with Carl motivated me to begin working out on my own. I began running again in 2020 (after not having run for more than 15 years). I've now run nearly 1000 miles over the previous 21 months. I recently backpacked for 5 days over 60 miles climbing to heights of 14k feet.
I have slow weeks when I'm unable to motivate myself but those slow weeks no longer compound upon one another because twice a week Carl resets my fitness routine. Most importantly, I'm better at and enjoy more the things I love like ice hockey, snowboarding and wake surfing because of the strength, endurance and weight loss that all are rooted in my workouts with Carl.

My girlfriends introduced me to the class after they had been doing it for a while, and it’s been so great for me! Carl comes up with different workouts for each class that are always fun and challenging, adds something unique to my fitness routine. Carl has a super positive and motivating energy that is needed to keep me coming at 6am! He has an ability to meet you at your fitness level while challenging you to do better. I always feel better after I leave a workout. Plus, what could be better than working out with your besties? (Well maybe drinking margaritas with your besties, but this holds a solid second… 😆). Carl is awesome! When I first met Carl I told him I wanted to work on my cardio and strength. So we do just that! Since working out with him I have gained a ton of strength and energy back. I feel so lucky to be working with Carl as our trainer. His workouts are exactly what we need and they are a great combo of cardio and strength. The workouts go by so fast and are fun! Working with Carl has been amazing!!! He has created my workouts to challenge me, and also ensure safety as I develop a fitness foundation - challenging and encouraging at every step! I told him when we had our consult that the drive would be a barrier for me - and I can tell you that I continue to happily drive 30 minutes each way to work out with him twice a week for the past 3 months. He is super supportive, encouraging and knowledgeable on modifying a program to meet you where you are. Carl is down to earth, not intimidating - gives excellent instruction on each exercise - creative with workouts (you aren't going to do the same thing every time you go!) and an honest, good person that you will be fortunate to have on your team!!! I really enjoy the variety of Carl's bootcamp classes. As a personal trainer/full-time real estate agent, he is the one I go to see when the trainer in me needs to be trained. I'm a long time workout enthusiast. It's my outlet from an office career. I've worked out with several trainers and groups. Fundamental Fitness, owned by Carl, is always evolving and can accommodate anyone. I love their flexibility to host any type of workout, incorporate suggestions (i.e. yoga after a strength workout), and host in changing conditions (i.e. outside in airy locations in nice weather or even virtual instruction). They have whole health awareness. They can challenge anyone at their own level (advanced too), even within a group, and have personality in spades. They constantly introduce games, competitions, challenges, and new exercises to keep things fresh. Try them out.

Carl has a cheerful, enthusiastic and non judgmental personality. He is very, very good at providing variety and has a finely tuned ability to set up workouts that are challenging but still doable. He is lots of fun and because he works out of his home and has low overhead, his rates are an excellent value.
