One star because the yoga attendees always take all the parking spots at the library. There are clear signs that say "library parking only," but I continue to see people with yoga mats shamelessly parking there anyways. Please do better and encourage your patrons to park on the street and stop clogging the parking lot of a valuable community resource!

getting incredibly tired of the lack of parking for this place. instead of parking at the yoga studio, people park on my street and just in the last week alone ive had two people back into my car on otjen. im about to go in there and ask for some compensation from the owners for needing to repair my bumper and paint because this is actually insane. my rear bumper has scuffs from it, my front bumper clips are breaking, why cant they just park there????

I've taken a couple classes here and they were very good. But... $30 for a drop in?! You can easily find $12 and $15 drop in classes throughout the city. I know that teachers must be paid and there are expenses galore, but this seems exorbitant to the point of exclusionary.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when I started. But I have a neck issue and I wanted to try yoga as a final resort before recommended surgery. I started with a beginner pack trial run and was hooked immediately. I enjoy all the instructors and the timing of classes are great and inclusive. The studio is welcoming and is a great fit for beginners and yogis alike. Huge shout out to Sarah for her killer “sound tracks” she makes for each session! It’s so cool and really makes it fun!

I am new to this studio but absolutely feel I have found home. The studio smells amazing, has beautiful plants all over and best of all - the instructors are all uniquely awesome! I’m so excited to have found this studio!!! The other regulars have been very nice as well. Would give 10 stars if I could! 😊

I've taken a few classes at Healium and they've all been good. The instructors are kind and patient. The place is clean, well-kept and has lockers to put your things in while you're in class (bring a lock!)

I especially loved the class for all bodies - as someone who has both knees replaced, I really appreciated going to a class that offered alternative poses for those of us that aren't thin and not needing accommodations!

Consistently great and doing great things for the community. I've been on an off for the last several years. This is a great studio for all levels of practice. Everyone working here is fantastic and friendly. If you are a first timer, returning to your practice, or looking for a new space - this is the place. Check out their website for all their services and locations!

I cannot speak to the classes themselves, but I reached out to inquire about their outdated mask policy, as the other hot yoga studios in Milwaukee no longer require them. They told me if you are unvaccinated that you are required to wear a mask the entire class. I'm sorry, but wearing a mask in a 100 degree studio for an hour while practicing yoga is a MAJOR health risk/liability. There was no sense of understanding when I reached out to them. This is very discriminatory and I will continue to support yoga studios in the area that welcome all students equally regardless of their vaccination status.

I have been going to Healium Hot Yoga for about 4 years now. It was the second yoga studio in Milwaukee that I tried, and the search was over. The variety of classes offered is wonderful....both hot yoga and non-heated, beginner classes and power yoga, various interesting guest workshops, and even yoga retreats are offered. I love going there because I can always find what I need...whether that's needing to get a good sweat on and challenge myself, or just stretching things out and being more relaxed. And the community that Robyn has created at Healium is fantastic....I have made several friends there who are truly wonderful beings in my life!

love this studio! the owner and instructors create a welcoming place for all folks, regardless of experience and level of skill. they have a light, open classroom space and an overall beautiful facility. classes are varied and offer great options that you can choose based on how hard you want to workout or zen-out with your yoga. healium is so nice for new people who are just starting out (like i was!) while also still being a wonderful space for more experience yogis.

The absolute best combination of challenge and peace, Healium’s classes are vastly superior to every other yoga avenue that this gal has explored. Happily enjoying the best physical condition of my life thanks to my bicycle, veganism and Healium. This review is well over a year overdue, but I could wait no longer to share my love for this luminous studio! Also, Sarah is a goddess.

Comfortable, welcoming studio that offers a wide variety of yoga classes. They offer intense fitness-based classes and gentle Yin and Restorative classes too. If you want to try hot yoga but are unsure about how you'll respond to the heat, gently heated classes at Healium are an excellent option. I've always felt welcome and valued by the owner and all the instructors. I'm happy this place is in the neighborhood!

I’ve attended Healium since mid-2015, when I started yoga, and it’s been my home ever since. I average about 150 classes a year. Yep, for a newbie, I’m there a lot.

They are now (as of Jan 2018) in their third studio as they have continued to grow in the Bay View community. The current location has two studios, multiple classes for multiple levels, great instructors, an amazing owner, and they have expanded into kids yoga, energy workshops, meditation, etc. It’s truly become a mind/body haven, and it’s continuing to grow and atttact awesome people.

There is sadly one poor review listed, and it’s realky unfair. The reviewer is right though - passes are not good for everything. They are good for all regular 60-75 minute, heated and non heated classes. But they are not for the kids classes, nor the monthly Karma class where proceeds are donated to a local charity. They can not be used for speciality classes like the Protection and Grounding Workshops. They are not good for the monthly Happy Hour yoga which will include some local breweries and distilleries. They can not be used for the occasional Mala or other special class. It’s true.

They are only good for the 30 individual classes currently available every week!

As for her comments on the owner, Robyn, she couldn’t be farther from the truth. Robyn will bend over backwards for students and staff. I’m not certain that I would recognize the reviewer despite how often I attend, so I can’t speak to her apparel issues (and there are occasionally things worn that make me question the wearer), but based on her comments about her breathing, I suspect I’ve been in a class or two with her. I would argue that a YIN class generally does not require audible breathing, let alone what is best described as inappropriate pornographic moaning.

It was distracting to say the least, assuming I’m thinking of the correct set of vocal cords. (If I’m wrong, please accept my apologies.)

Anyway, the point is, Healium is phenomenal. There is a great sense of community amongst the students. There is great involvement with supporting that community. And if yoga is of interest, hot or not, you’re not likely to find a better option in the Milwaukee area.

Come visit!

Started taking classes in August. Healium has a great community of teachers and students.
They have classes for all, beginner to adavanced, hot to gently heated to non heated classes. They also offer kids yoga, that is not heated of course. They also have certain classes that have kid care during class. So they have you covered.
Healium Hot Yoga also works with the community through different outlets offering donations for different charities.
They also work with other studios to help promote each other.

I am a trained yoga teacher that has practiced in countless studios around the globe.

The teachers here are fabulous, but I have to express my experiences with ownership.

Know that class packs do not cover all classes.

I've been reprimanded for paying cash at cash only classes; an odd experience to say the least.

I've been told my breathing is too loud.

And have additionally been told that sports bras are not allowed in hot yoga classes, which is not stated anywhere on the website. *Update*: I've since been told that sports bras are ok. However, there is a problem with entering the studio (from 30 degree weather) in warm athletic clothes, taking them off at the beginning of class, and putting them on for shavasana to retain heat.

The owner also stated, "Sounds like we will both be happier if you practice elsewhere." I'm not happier. I'm hurt by being treated so terribly by management.

I wish the teachers well, but will be finding alternative places to practice when I am in Bay View / Milwaukee supporting family. Luckily I just found out Delaware House in the neighborhood now offers early AM classes! After my first class today, I was told "It was lovely having you." A complete 180 from my experience at Healium and am glad folks in Bay View have another option.

Very disappointed to have to write this review.
