I've been training with Alex for 7 years. We've worked on many goals in that time: including establishing a home exercise routine during the pandemic, better understanding and adjusting my nutrition, recovery from surgery, and preparing for a seven-day bike ride.

Alex's goals are for you to be safe, feel good, be strong, and be able to do what YOU want to do - whether that's win a race, gain mobility, or finally figure out how much protein you really need.

Group classes with Alex are unique because you get both personalized attention and a supportive community. Most of us joined the strength training class for a non-intimidating environment where we could learn and not have to worry about injuring ourselves.

Every class has a range of ages and experience levels, and has much laughter and support. Because the workouts are designed as stations that you spend a chunk of time at before rotating, you don't need to worry about being able to lift the same as anyone else, or being that one person who is always lagging behind because everyone is doing their own thing.

What's so cool about the Iron Maidens group dynamic is that it really doesn't matter if you're an elite athlete or a newbie who feels really weak or out of shape, you're personal gains are going to be truly admired by your classmates and you'll be inspired by theirs too.

I worked with Alex for over a year when I lived in Madison. He is fantastic! Not only does he listen to your goals, he is extremely encouraging and thoughtful. When I was recovering from an injury, he accomodated my needs so that I could continue to attend the Iron Maidens while working on different muscle groups. He is extremely knowledgable and thoughtful. I highly recommend him and if I ever return to Madison, the Iron Maidens will be my first stop.

I've been working with Alex on and off for 7 + years. Always brings great energy, and is very knowledgable. He knows the nutrition side as well - which has been helpful in the past for me. Very down to work with you to customize workouts to suit your goals. I have won 4 strongman competitions now and going for my 5th.

I've been working with Alex since at least 2017, from personal training to now being part of the Iron Maidens program. He is extremely knowledgeable and has helped me improve my flexibility, strength, and running speed.

The Iron Maidens program has been amazing for me—Alex does a great job of keeping us on our toes and constantly mixing things up. I can definitely tell I'm improving overall.

I recently bought a new house, and the yard was in complete disrepair, totally overrun by large bushes. After ripping them all out and doing a ton of shoveling and moving things around, I was surprised that I wasn't sore at all. His classes truly prepare you for real-life situations, helping you avoid injury while also getting fit and well-rounded.

I would absolutely recommend any of Alex’s programs or personal training. He knows what he's doing, and it really shows in the results!

I’ve been working with Alex since 2021, and I can confidently say he’s one of the most thoughtful, consistent, and motivating coaches I’ve ever worked with. What makes Alex stand out is how much care he puts into building not just workouts, but real community and connection. His programming is smart, adaptable, and grounded in real results, but he also keeps it fun and light (dad jokes included).

Alex meets you where you're at and helps you push forward, always with a focus on long-term progress and sustainability. He’s created a space that’s inclusive, supportive, and empowering—especially for folks who want accountability and strength without the ego. I’ve gotten stronger, healthier, and more confident working with Alex, and I recommend him without hesitation.

I've been training with Alex for a while now, and I can't recommend him enough. Whether it's one-on-one or in a group setting, he brings a ton of knowledge and always keeps things fun and challenging. I’m constantly learning something new, and I can honestly say I’ve never felt stronger or more confident in my workouts. If you’re looking for a trainer who knows his stuff and keeps you engaged, Alex is your guy!
