I hate exercising. But turning 65 I knew I needed to start strength training if I wanted to stay active and avoid injury. Enter Matt. He takes away all my excuses for not working out by coming to our home to train. And he makes it fun! Matt helps my husband and I not only get physically stronger, he helps us maintain a positive mental attitude . He is tough, but genuinely kind. We know without a doubt he always has our well-being in mind. He is encouraging and always has super smart practical advice on how to stay in shape in order to fully enjoy life. Matt is an excellent educator and motivator. He helped me to understand weight training and how to do it safely and effectively. I worked out in his home. It was cool to be able to see what a good home gym could look like. He had great recommendations for my home gym and how to get the most bang for your buck. I can't recommend Matt highly enough. He is worth his weight in gold. I've spent a lot of money on diets and different things to change my body. Matt is a fantastic personal trainer. I’ve been to every gym in Lake Country and while they all have their good points, no trainer has been as thorough as Matt. He learned my goals initially, understands what keeps me motivated and has constantly kept it interesting! He learned very quickly that I get bored easily and has made sure there is always something new to do! He understands the human body and explains the cause and effect very clearly on what happens with muscles and muscle groups. He is resourceful and if he doesn’t know the answer on something he will find it! If you’re looking for in home personal training, he is your guy!!

I have had the pleasure of having Matt as a personal trainer twice! He has helped me come back physically after having a baby. Now, he is helping me ramp up my fitness by helping me focus on form, providing me with workouts that hit my target areas, and teaching me new and safer ways to perform exercises. It's so helpful to have someone trained watching your form to prevent injury. His knowledge on self-care, fitness and nutrition is critical to keeping me on track during the week. He listens to my goals, modifies workouts to my ability and challenges me.
Not only are Matt's workouts effective, but it's always fun to hang out with him. It's working out with a friend and cheerleader! Workouts aren't supposed to be boring. I look forward to our weekly time together - talking fitness and life! And if you have kids, Matt is so good with them too. My 4 kids frequently "interrupt" our session, and Matt has always been so kind to them. I love the convenience of working out at home while getting all of the benefits of a trainer! Matt really enjoys his job as personal trainer. He comes prepared with a lesson plan for the goal of my fitness needs. He is willingly to alter the plan if my physical needs are not ready but always gives me the plan on how we will achieve that goal later.
