Honestly this place wasn't that bad at first but I came into talk to the owner about the classes, and one of the employees, some blond lady with a short ponytail on top was incredibly rude and condescending to me, and then basically kicked me out of the gym before I could say anything.
The entire community here is like some kind of weird clique, I try to open the door and its locked, I try to talk to an employee and she gives me some rude answer like "call the phone" or I call, and they don't pick up. The people who go here seem equally as stuck up and insecure about putting themselves out there, its' a far cry from any other gym I've been to in town. Considering you can get a day pass at the best gyms in town with pools and full equipment for less than the cost of one class at MADABOLIC, I would only go here if you badly need a group of friends and are willing to suck up to the employees. You also get spam texts and emails when you sign up for one class here.

In response to the several inappropriate questions:
I asked if a woman I wanted to talk to came back for another class, and I was told no. After that I came back to talk about classes. The owner Ross was well aware I liked this girl, as when I first signed up, he saw me wanting to talk to her and pretty much manipulated me into buying a class and signing up for his gym.
I really have no shame about wanting to talk to a pretty girl and shoot my shot. She was really pretty.
As far as "professionalism and zero tolerance for that kind of behavior", I was never told anything at all, I just asked to talk to the owner and was rudely ignored and condescended to by the employee twice.
Now, the owner, Ross, is revealing personal information about me that has nothing to do with what I said, and also lying that I asked inappropriate questions about the women training there. I never did that at all.
In my opinion this is a perfect example of what I said in my original post. Also you can get get a day pass at the y for about $18, or a day pass at princeton club for around $20. One class at Madabolic is $25 for an hour I think. The room they use is probably 1/10th of the size of those gyms.
I don't want to make personal attacks but it is extremely unprofessional to reveal personal details about me, to say the least. I think that much is revealing as to the character of this gym and the owner of this gym

My favorite gym and workout- ever. I’ve been a Madison resident my whole life and I’m so glad to see such a great addition to the fitness community. The trainers are all absolutely fantastic, the workout is unbeatable, the community itself is so supportive and inviting. Come as you are and just get a great workout in under an hour. Well worth the price, and lots of promos run to make it even more affordable. I started going 3/4 times a week back in January and my life and health have changed for the better exponentially! Workouts are easily modified for all abilities and ages, and designed to be accessible for all different levels- whether you’re just starting out or a pro. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I started going to MADabolic November 2024 when they started running their Black Friday deal. It was for three months at a lower cost than normal. After the three months were up I knew I needed to sign up for a full year. Even though the gym is relatively new to the are (had only been open a couple months when I first started) they had managed to find amazing trainers. I tend to spend my class time more with one of the trainers because I consistently go to the same class. However, I’ve taken at least a couple of classes with all the trainers at some point over the past year.

Each trainer really prioritizes lifting correctly so as not to hurt yourself in specific movements while also making sure that you’re challenging yourself. They’re all extremely friendly and make it a priority to learn your name and remember things about you. You’re not just a head to fill the class. Now that they’ve been open a while they’ve started adding out of gym activities for everyone to meet up and hang out. Joining this gym is a great way to make friends with similar goals to yourself.

Something else that really stood out to me against other gyms was the warm-ups. Warm-ups at this gym are actually thought through. You’re actively working on getting the muscles you’re going to be using warmed up. It’s not just arm circles and holding a stretch. In other gyms I’ve had to use my first set of reps at a station to be my warm-up. At this gym I’m able to lift heavy starting the first rep due to how they designed their warm-ups.

Finally, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate the gym set-up. There are 5 lanes that can hold 5 people each. The pod you work out in with designated weights is all your own. You don’t have to quickly try to find weights that work for you because it’s all set up in the lane you chose. You also don’t have to compromise on a lower or heavier weight because someone needs the same weight as you. But that’s not to say you’re working out along. Because there are people in pods next to you working on the same movement but with different weights that are specific for their lane. All of this to say, is that it’s one of the most organized and efficient ways I’ve lifted weights in a group class setting.

This gym has completely changed my outlook on exercise, group fitness, and strength based workouts. I love MADabolic! I've been going for almost 4 months now and I feel so much better, both physically and mentally. I am building muscle, mobility, and better posture. I especially notice that my core strength has greatly improved. I am less stressed out, in a better mood, and feel proud of myself for sticking to a routine. The trainers are all amazing - they push me to challenge myself and are always there to correct my form. I'm so happy I started going and have prioritized this investment in my health. I love just showing up after a long day at work and not having to plan my own workout or be in a busy gym. I always leave feeling great!

Update (3/11/25): I have been going to MAD since it opened in June 2024 and am AMAZED at the progress I am feeling and seeing in myself. I have lost over 20 pounds while being the strongest I have ever been. This program has completely changed my life. I have consistently followed the 4 workouts/week as programmed and have used the remainder of the 3 days to rest or engage in an active recovery activity such as walking or yoga. MAD preaches rest and consistency which is something that I was not used to prior to joining and have since realized is the secret formula. In addition to the major physical changes, MAD has improved my overall mental health and confidence. The coaches continuously push me and educate me on the best, safest way to move my body. Honestly, I don't know where I would be without MAD!!! So thankful for this gym and empowering community!!!!

MADabolic Madison is an amazing place to work out and stay healthy! The coaches are incredibly friendly and professional, and they offer excellent classes in both the mornings and afternoons. Each class is based on a specific theme, which you can check when booking your session. Classes begin with a detailed explanation of the workout plan, followed by a warm-up. Then, we dive into the workout, guided step by step by the instructors. You can choose a difficulty level that suits you, and there’s a range of weights available to accommodate everyone. One of the highlights of MADabolic is that every workout incorporates boxing, which adds an exciting twist to the session. Great Coaches, Members, and workout program!! I recently joined and could not be happier! I wish I would have discovered MADabolic sooner!!

Previously, I was taking classes at a HIIT studio on the westside of Madison. Unfortunately after 2 years, F45 Min Pt Road closed. Timing is everything in life! I now realize I was over training. MADabolic’s approach is that the workouts should be balanced by rest and active rest days. Such a smart approach that’s discussed often.

The Coaches and Members have been so inviting! They have a great community and I am so happy to be a part of it! I’m excited to see great results here!! Give it a try!!

I joined Madabolic Madison and I have to say it was the best decision I ever made!I am always pleasantly surprised by the high level of quality and service they provide each and every day I go there.One thing that really stands out about this gym is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I cannot say enough good things about MADabolic Madison! I started out doing the free classes before they officially opened, and I knew immediately that I was going to get a membership right away. There is something about the way that the classes make you feel that keeps bringing me back. The coaches aren’t like normal coaches. They are human and genuinely care about you. They also participate in the classes with you when they aren’t coaching.
