Mayville Golf Course has been a cornerstone of the Mayville, WI community since 1936, offering an exceptional golfing experience. Nestled along the picturesque Rock River, our 18-hole course provides both a challenging game and stunning views. Kasnadra the Manager of this course has terrible customer service. Don't waste your time or money on this course. Expect to make the turn to a 8-some of golfers w 3 kids and 4 golf carts that were not there for the 1st 9 holes. Claims "thats how golf courses work", me: "only if your lazy and want to have zero organization for your loyal customers" Simply based on facts. Your loss not mine.

I'll be 100% honest, I wasn't expecting the quality of food at all. I visited with a group of coworkers, visiting the area on business. The Meating Place was suggested by one of the members of our party. I thought just another restaurant with bar food. I was so wrong. As soon as they started arriving with our food, I was blown away by the smell. Then I started digging into my order and could stop. Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. I will 100% be coming back with my wife, she has to try this place.

We had a great round at Mayville GC. The guys in the clubhouse were very friendly and the bloody Mary was tasty. The tee boxes were in good shape. Most fairways were decent and the greens were very fast. The course layout was awesome. A good variety of elevation changes and doglegs. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.

Course is 2-3 stars but service is 1. Left $90 JBL Bluetooth in cart in golf outing. Totally my fault. Cart jockeys are supposed to clean carts after events and turn anything in to lost and found. Called 1 hr after event. Said employees will clean and look later. Called next day, nothing as yet. Called 3 days later and left voicemail - call was never returned. In my experience cart jockeys always clean/inspect carts almost immediately after events to get them ready for the next day. You decide but suspicious to me.

We've been here many times and Randy and his staff are always welcoming. Drinks and food menu items are reasonably priced. The specials are always great, the weekly dessert offerings (a specialty cheesecake) are exceptional, and we especially enjoy their wine and whiskey pairings. We were seated immediately then waited 25 minutes for our waitress to take our orders. We didn't actually get our drinks for another 10 minutes. Our appetizer arrived but then she didn't bring us plates to eat them. 2 of us got soup and they were served cold. Our fish fries were very good which is good because the waitress didn't come back to check on us until we were ready for our check. I handed her my credit card and the hostess brought it back with my receipt to sign not our waitress. She did a very poor job. We're going there for Mother's Day brunch and hope we don't have her as our waitress. We're second guessing even going there.

One of our favorite places to go for dinner. In addition to the daily menu, there is usually a special for each day of the week as well. The food is spectacular, one can certainly see and taste the creativity The Chef and Staff add to every dish. Other options available are unique public invited events such as Bourbon/Wine and Beer pairings which we have especially enjoyed.

In this day of lackluster service that most of us experience with other businesses, The Meating Place definitely brings their β€œA” game.

We went with a large group to the Meating Place. Nice vibe, clean, great staff, and the best steal my husband ever had, which is about the highest compliment I can give. I failed to take photos, but it's only about a 40 minute drive from where we are in NW Ozaukee Co., so we will be back (plus, Mayville is adorable and we need to explore it further!)!

This is our second year coming here for our annual Christmas get together as a group of about 16. Shout out to our waitress, Jessie! She did a great job. The food was good, the restaurant was busy, the only thing I didn't care for was the salad bar. They can definitely improve on that and also make it a little more sanitary. Things have improved greatly since last year. I had broasted chicken and it was very good. Way too much to eat at once. Thanks for a nice party venue.

I got the perch Friday fish fry. Very disappointing. The Perch had no flavor, breading was oily in your mouth. Sweet potato fries were good good, maybe 5 star. Ordered cheese curds. Same thing. Oily, oily after taste. My wife had a steak sandwich and said it was ok, but not something she would reorder. Service was slow. The greasy aftertaste is yucky.

Tried it three times hoping it would get better each time but it only got worse every visit. The first major complaint I noticed right away, the guy working the shop was quite rude and seemed upset that my buddy and I were there. We were fairly new to golf so we were a bit shy at first and just tried to be respectful and make sure we were following guidelines and expectations. We had no idea it was such an inconvenience for the course to not call in ahead to get a tee time. We honestly were willing to wait and didn't care when tee was so we just asked for next available but always the guy would give grief about it. Then we tried to walk it out first time and they turned on sprinklers and the entire course was soaked and muddy, we couldn't help but damage the course and our clothes and equipment so we were forced to go back to get a cart. Each time we showed up the shop keeper would seem more aggressive and agitated for no apparent reason other than not calling in a tee time. The driving range was only open once out of three visits. The course it self is a great beginner course. We just didn't feel welcome at all. We bought beer the first two times and had no issues. The third time, we didn't see the sign(s),my buddy brought some of the same beer they sold us but from home and some guy and his kid came up to us half way through our play to act like we were causing trouble and yelling at us saying it's illegal to drink on the golf Carts and took our beer from us to allow us to keep playing after we explained we had no bad intentions and just didn't know. No idea if he was even an employee.. Never saw our beer again and I'll never see that course again. It's a shame cause we were respectful and just trying to have a good time golfing. Absolutely nothing special about this course except that the staff doesn't want you there. Super unfortunate Leroy's bought it. I won't even support the restaurant any more at this point. There are plenty of other courses around that are much nicer and cheaper. Good luck if you decide to go. I have friends that have also told me they'll never go back to this course for similar reasons.

What an over priced, poorly managed course. We played behind a 3 some that had one bag of clubs between them and they played behind a group of 5, on a Saturday afternoon. The tee boxes are brown and the greens should have a wind mill and a clown face. The only good part of the course, the carts are nice and have gps. Other than the carts, skip this place.

The golf attendant has a poor attitude, with zero customer service skills. The burgers are dry, the chicken wings are served with broken sauce so you are just getting mouths full of oil. The hole locations are purposely placed in terrible spots. It truly feels like someone is trying to sabotage a great golf course with poor over priced food and bad customer service.

What a hidden gem!!! I have driven past this place so many times, Never realized how beautiful it is or that there is an awesome restaurant inside the building! The grounds are so clean and nice!! You can smell the delicious food coming from the restaurant while you are golfing.
There is a little pro shop where you can purchase a bucket of balls and a wide variety of beverage including alcoholic beverages. I can't find everywhere else!
The bar and restaurant are very nice and the workers were extremely friendly and talkative.
I cannot wait to go back!!

The atmosphere, the cold, unwelcoming & bland decor which doesn't suit the area whatsoever, the food, the prices.... The only good thing about the meal was the Pepsi. C'mon, you serve prime rib but you are out of baked potatoes? How long does it take to scrub & microwave one potato?! I had to send my food back & order something else, as the meat on my sandwich tasted rancid! Total disappointment.

I would do two stars but I'm more impressed than anything. I ordered a medium cheese burger. What I got was a burger that was rare on one half of it and on the other half was cooked from rare all the way to well done at the edge of the burger. Idk how they managed to do that. I'm guessing a burner on the stove/grill was out or something. Overall, the burger tasted decent, the French fries were cut a bit on the thick side so they were similar to potato wedges in taste.

It was a delight to meet friends there. The waitress had laryngitis and was hard to hear. I wanted a vegetarian pasta....there was a miscommunication. I ended up with a meat/pasta dish. Went there for the food and was not disappointed. I was lucky that they had beef brisket plate for a special for $14. I got so much meat I couldn't finish it all. What a disappointing dinner out. Hostess sat us next to kitchen area. There was a spot by the window open and I asked her if we could sit there, we were told no its not her turn yet and she walked away. Then minutes later came back and said you can move it you want. Waitress was nice. I placed my order for the bacon jam Salmon only to find out they didn't have any jam and wanted to know if I wanted just the salmon. No I don't want a plain piece of salmon for $24. She did try to make up for it by bringing us soup. Hubs ordered cod & I ordered the walleye. Both tasted off, his breading was like plastic, couldn't hardly bite thru it. My walleye was just bad, left a weird bad tasting coating in my mouth. Baked potatoes were still hard and coleslaw is basic Sysco slaw. As we went to leave hostess gave me a stink eye and after I passed her she thanked my husband for coming in. This is our second time coming with both experiences being poor and unacceptable. Will not return.

My husband and I recently visited Mayville golf course and had prepaid for a cart and 18 holes greens fees for my husband who was playing solo. When he checked in, he told them that his nonplaying wife would be riding along. They charged an additional $20 fee for me to occupy an empty seat in the paid for cart. Same day they had a man take his nonplaying son to ride along and occupied the same empty seat in his cart and paid nothing. There are too many beautiful courses in the area that do not charge an additional rider fee for someone who is not playing golf... not one dollar let alone $20. We will skip Mayville course and continue to patronize Beaver Dam Country Club, Rolling Meadows, Fox Lake and Horicon all of which are beautiful and do not charge. In fact, Fox Lake and Beaver Dam Country Club have gorgeous Lake Views on the courses.

Six of us ate there last night. The food was plentiful and delicious! Everyone loved their entrees. We sat outside on their huge patio with beautiful views of the golf coarse. Our server was excellent! The variety of old fashions were fun and delicious. I recommend the orange Jamison with ginger old fashion. We will definitely be back soon.πŸ₯°β€οΈ

We were excited to try a new place to dine however, very disappointed with food. Pre dinner salad, some of the lettuce was brown and wilted. The soup did not come with crackers/Oyster crackers/croutons which would have made it better. The main dishes were no better. The orange rouphy was very fishy smelling and the dill sauce did not compliment it well. Don't bother ever getting the lobster Mac and cheese! I can't believe they would even serve something that looked as it did, not appetizing at all! The best way to describe it; it looked like the boxed velveta Mac and cheese that has the "pouch of gooey" orange cheese or like nacho cheese and then let it sit out for a day, making it dried up. Thus it was not creamy or edible at all... then sprinkle it with paprka, yuck! πŸ˜• no flavor at all. This place is added to list of no return.

We’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. Last night we dined in and while the food was excellent, the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. We ordered another round just as our food came and didn’t get the drinks until after we were done eating and our plates were cleared. Waitress brought them to the table and asked if we still wanted them! No thanks. She just shrugged and took them back to the bar. The disconnect seemed to be the bartenders. Overall, food was great.
