I love PKFit! It has the homey and friendly vibe of a locally owned, small gym but still has absolutely everything you need and more. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming as well!

My wife and I have been members at PK for 3 years. We love the fact that it is locally owned small business. The vibe also reflects that. We both can't stand the big box "globo" gyms. PK has everything you need to get a great workout + provides you the opportunity to meet some great people who workout around you.

Great group fitness classes! Ben explained what we were doing and demonstrated proper technique. I was able to push myself and get an amazing workout in just 45 minutes. Would recommend!

I’ve tried a handful of gyms, but PKFit stands out in every way. The personal training is top-notch - the trainers are highly skilled and tailor each workout to your specific goals. I also love the small group training sessions! They’re both challenging and motivating, creating a sense of community that naturally gives you that extra push.
What really sets PKFit apart is their attention to detail. Everything is super clean, and the amenities are always new & elevated. The sauna and cold plunge are perfect for a post-workout recovery, and the entire staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Every aspect - from the equipment to the ambiance and the people - feels intentional. I always leave feeling refreshed and in a good mood. Highly recommend!

Pk fit gyms are friendly, clean, beautiful and accessible. Always uplifting!! Personal training with Peter has helped heal multiple injuries, and increase strength and improve overall fitness. Also love the cold plunge and sauna! Highly recommend!

I’ve had suuuuch great experiences with this gym, this team and this organization:-) they are basically professional athlete/celeb level fitness professionals in the Madison area who have a very Midwestern friendly, approachable feel. Classes, trainers and facilities are next level!!! They support the community in a ton of ways—you see them helping so many local organizations and that’s what motivated me to call them out with this post! Need more businesses (and people!) like them :-)

Clean space with a variety of well maintained equipment. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful when I come in. The classes are fun with a variety of exercises and great coaches who help you with form. Highly recommend!

As a chiropractor, I have referred several patients to Peter and I know that they are in good hands when it comes to personal training because he is very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. The gym itself is clean and has a lot of different equipment for the various amounts of exercises someone can do. The classes are a great way to get an intense exercise in, and Peter is keen on guiding people into doing alternative exercises or decreasing the intensity/frequency of a specific exercise to prevent injuries during those exercise classes. I would highly recommend coming here, as well as future gyms (because at the time writing this he just opened up his second gym in Madison).

The gym itself is clean and the coaches are attentive to form. However, outside of coaching Peter is a mediocre person. He’s the type of person who doesn’t want to help others nor does he show any empathy to people who are hurt by his actions/doesn’t try to understand the experiences of people (minorities in particular). Please find another gym

I finally found a gym I love! I primary take the fitness classes at Peter Kraus Fitness, and have had great results! The class sizes are small enough to allow for personalized attention, and form corrections when needed. The classes are challenging, but they offer modifications to accommodate all fitness levels. The equipment is great, and the facility is always clean. I have found the staff & trainers to be very friendly too! I’d highly recommend!

PK Fitness stands out as the premier private owned gym in the Madison area. The facility is always impeccable, and in the time of Covid, that's so important to find. The staff is courteous and friendly, and extremely knowledgeable when I have a question. The classes are more than just a work out, they're actually fun, which helps when you need extra motivation to be up at the crack of dawn. Most surprisingly, Peter Kraus himself is usually there! I half expected this to be some satellite side project, but the dedication he shows to both his business and his patrons is why this place is loved by so many! And bonus, this place offers online classes that you can do from home, I don't always make that dawn class! Highly recommend you check this spot out!!!

The gym is very clean and open, has a great vibe and everything you could need for your workout. The classes are amazing! I've been going to classes regularly for about a year now and love them. They are upbeat and you definitely get your money's worth - I am exhausted at the end of each one and always leave feeling accomplished. I've been to many classes in different gyms throughout Madison, and the classes at Peter Kraus Fitness are by far the best. Would highly recommend!

I'll admit it -- I was super skeptical at first because I knew Peter Kraus was on the Bachelorette and was honestly a little concerned the gym would be flooded with fan girls or stalkers trying to meet him. That said, I have to give mad props to Mr. Kraus for the amazing space he put together and the challenging workouts he designs. The gym itself is a welcoming, clean, and cozy space -- if you design a lot of your own workouts, chances are you'll find what you need in the space, which isn't huge but is just big enough to not feel cramped. They did a good job using the space efficiently. I'm curious to see if this changes at all over time. I also tried out the PK Fit Class, which is a bootcamp/circuit training style class with various stations and timed intervals. Honestly, the class was what I was most impressed by. Mr. Kraus is a great trainer -- he's engaging and motivating, pushing you to work hard without shaming you, and he designs a series of exercises that feels like a comprehensive workout (i.e. I didn't feel the need to secretly do an ab workout after class because my core had been ignored for the last hour). It's also clear his workouts build on each other or take into consideration the other workouts in the week (ex: I went in this morning after going on Monday, and today's workout was designed to be more "active recovery", with a focus on pulling rather than pushing). I also appreciated that he provides form corrections and suggestions for how to make the exercise work more for you, I feel like that's the sign of someone who really cares about their clients and he seemed to do this naturally and with genuine care for the people in the class. I have to say that after taking 2 classes this week I left feeling super happy and excited for the rest of my day. Looking forward to going back and hopefully making it a part of my weekly regimen.
