Pets is one of my most favorite courses to play. I may be biased, since I'm from Kenosha and grew up on this course, but there is just something about it! The trees are beautiful nearly any time of year and the course is in good shape every time I've golfed. This is a great course for people looking to have a good time together in a leisurely game of golf!

First of all, I played this course multiple times this year and it was always in nice shape. Greens are very challenging and the course layout is beautiful. I really love the layout of the back 9.

Played a round on October 27. They delays the course opening for frost which I very must respect to keep the course in good condition. They were very clear about what was going and and when they anticipated opening. Communication was great.

We did get a cart that was dead which resulted in us having to push the cart back to the clubhouse which is a bummer but these things happen.

Course was beautiful with fall color as the trees were near peak, even though some leaves had fallen the fairways were still well kept.

My one complaint with the round is that they were either allowing or unaware of photography occurring on the golf course. This delayed play on two different holes on the front nine. Even with the photography our group of four (who admittedly were all 20+ handicap golfers) finished our round in 2h 15m and received a pace of play warning. Now, I understand that had it been us holding up the whole course I would understand the warning and need to pick up the pace, however, we had two empty holes behind us throughout the whole round. I can understand that there are times where you have to be a bit of a stickler for pace of play but if you are permitting photography on your course then you cant hold your golfers accountable for that. There's a time to keep the course moving and a time to look at what is actually going on and being a raincloud on a group when there is no delay is just a ranger power tripping and is an unappealing look.

Overall, I still had a great day and this being the only issue I have ever had at this course I would still plan on returning for several outings next year.

Golf is a game of etiquette. The course was nice, the people were friendly. The “ranger” was softer than a popcorn fart. We waited on this group of old guys for EIGHT HOLES! On 2 they held us up alllll the way through. It was so bad we had 3 groups on the tee box waiting on 7! 10 golfers standing there!!! We thought they’d hit the road after nine. Nope. Called the clubhouse to complain and the ranger does nothing!! Unreal. This place would’ve gotten an easy 5 stars. But if you can’t regulate the pace of play I’ll never be back. Mind you this was a Tuesday, tee’d off at 12:18.

Great course in the naturistic Kenosha park area. Good little pro shop and great staff. Rates were awesome for this course for twilight rates to get a round in. Course quality was good all around....the upkeep is great. Lots of elevated greens and terrain to deal with. The number 8 par 5 and number 17 par 4 with the up hill shots really made for long 2nd and 3rd shots. Greens were in great shape all around. And above all....gps in the carts as well was a bonus to ice the cake....doubt they could've done the electric carts with this much terrain. Definitely worth the stop to play a round.

How can you not have fun on this golf course. Plenty of variety in the holes with many short drivable par 4’s. Greens are the real defense of the course as they have a lot of sneaky breaks in them! Great place for the money. No real practice facility though

Petrifying Springs Golf Course is a well maintained and challenging course for the casual golfer. The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Tip for newbies, if you drop just shot of the green, and bring both a wedge and a putter with you, then forget to pick up your wedge after tossing it on the ground to put, your wedge will be in the pro shop the next day.. just something I've heard has happened to.. other people.

I recently attempted to golf this past weekend. I had a tee time for a foursome. The starter at the first tee was extremely rude, and tried to hold us up for 50 min. I spoke with management and they said I would be able to golf back 9 since we were only doing 9. The started then proceeded to use profanity and tried to kick us of course and threatened us out on the tee box. Management did absolutely nothing. Great course HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE ! Management! Did not expect employees to try to get physical with customers!

The course is always kept in very good shape. The front 9 is very forgiving with wide fairways and almost no hazards. The back 9 has a few hazards and plays a touch narrower, but is still a great course for beginners through mid handicappers.

Really enjoyed playing this course the week of July 4th. Challenging enough to enjoy and not get frustrated. Went on a Friday AM and wasn't a lot of people there, so was able to enjoy the round (which only took 2.5 hours with 2 people). Would say that a good golfer (sub 10 handicap) will find the course easy. Extremely affordable also

We usually go on sundays and can get done rather quickly however this time we had some new golfers with us and went to go have a fun time golfing and they really didnt slow us down however their where plenty of people in front of us also going slow and we couldnt go any faster due to people in front of us. One of the employees came up to us and said that we where going to slowly and that we needed to speed up and made our new players as well as the rest of us feel unwelcome. We started to play best ball and our new players wernt even playing at that point and than the same employee came up to us and said "ok we really beed to do something about this to go faster" so we said we paid to enjoy our time golfing and at that point half of us wernt even playing so we where just going to play regularly and he just left. He made us feel unwelcome at the course and we will not be going back
