Golf gem on the west side of Madison! I can play a round in 1:10-1:30. It feels like a fancy and enjoyable upgraded par 3 course. Excellent for working on your short game (170 yards in).

We went with a small group for our friendβs 30th birthday. Checked in and they set us all up with carts and told us we were good to go, but half way through, they broke us up into two groups because suddenly their policy changed. Then, the golf pro followed us around on his cart for the remainder of our time there. Very unprofessional and rude behavior.

If I wanted to walk, I'd walk. I rent a cart because I can't walk very far and the cart-path-only protocol is not friendly to older people (like me). It would be easier to walk pushing my bag in a hand cart, but distance "green to tee" makes it unattractive to walk, period. I really don't understand why an executive course would have a policy like that--all the holes are short and most golfers can hit the greens inside of 150 yards. We played half-a-dozen similar courses in Florida last winter, without cart restrictions anywhere. Not only that, but the thick fescue between the cart path and fairway almost caused me to face plant onto the cart path as I was walking downhill, with a hand full of clubs. The course is nice, I'll give it that.

Staff was very friendly and course was well maintained. Perfect to get a quick round in during the morning. No tee boxes, so you can play through distance you want.

Unique 13 hole course. The course is fun and wonderful and meant to help you progress in your short game. The course does not have any signage on the street or their parking lot. I get it. They don't need big signs; they want you to find it.
The restaurant and bar was a nice hangout.

First time visiting this really nice, 13 hole course. The course was in fantastic condition. If you want to work on your iron & short game, this is the place to do it. The greens are large, tough, but fantastic. I suggest getting a cart as there are a few holes that are far apart. golf + Cart pp was only $32

My wife and I had the opportunity to play this OUTSTANDING short course when visiting Madison from Wausau. The club house is great and well stocked with apparel, bags, balls and tees. The condition of the course was excellent given it is early in the WI golf season. The green complexes are extremely challenging with the undulations and speed. Multiple tee boxes for experienced golfers looking for a challenge or beginners looking to improve. We only saw one other group on the course on an iffy weather day, so really cannot comment on pace of play. We took a riding cart. For a short course it would be challenging walking the course given the distance between tee boxes, plus some significant elevation changes. On future visits to Madison we will make every effort to return and play this course. KEEP UP THE GREAT EXPERIENCE

It's a super sick course, but the 13 par 3 feels a bit long when I suck and lose a ball every other hole

Awesome course - perfect condition, contoured greens, and interesting holes. I usually expect par 3s to be ho hum but this one is challenging and fun. Not to mention great food and drinks in the clubhouse!

Pioneer Point GC feels like the future of golf!
Located at the site of the former Tumbledown GC, this newly created 13-hole course it's easy access and wonderful!
The course condition is exceptional, and the secret sauce is 1) only 13 holes reduces play time to 2.5 gl hours per round.
Unique to pioneer Point is the "make your own adventure" style of layout where players get to choose their own tee location

Good course but overpriced for only 13 holes and only one hole you can drive.

This place is going to blow up and it's bittersweet.
The greens are country club quality. Undulations everywhere!
I've played this course 3 times now and had a great experience each time.
$40 for 13 holes and a cart is a fair deal! Great value here.
If you play here, stay off the course, repair your ball marks and this place will continue to stay beautiful.
A Par 3 course has no business being this lush and nice, I'm so glad they put the effort into this course.
No liquor license yet so you've got to bring your own waters and gatorades so you don't get thirsty out there.

Course is in beautiful condition. Challenging holes with large undulating greens. Walkable 13 holes with some sizable distances from green to tee on some holes. Very nice design! On hot days reccomend a cart!

13 holes, 12 par 3s and 1 par 4 set amid the homes. Some of the Par 3s are a bit challenging. The clubhouse is still being built. Once it's ready this will be a fantastic place to hang out.

I was torn on where to finish rating for a course up and coming yet and in a neighborhood still developing. For those local aged golfers, I love that the historic tumbledown trails sign was still up and you could tell still playingsome of the original hole remnants.
Downside....I thought the green fees were high for a "short" course, not nice electric carts, still growing in from opening last year, and rough in spots. I personally would've rather had tee markers but the constant visitor I could see benefits of teeing where ever to try to change it up.
The brand new clubhouse isn't going to open for about another month or 2.
The greens. Omg those made it. You can tell they put a lot of effort into those making the putting difficult. This one in the pic was unique with rough island in the greenside bunker and another bunker in the middle of the green.
You also can't beat a short course like this having a 250+ hole to play your longer shots on.
This course definitely tested the many variations of your golf game.

10/10 would recommend!
My dad and I came here for the first time today and really enjoyed the course. I am a 11 handicap while my dad is in the 20-25 range. The course challenged us equally with having some holes around 100-110 range and others around 170-220. No hole felt the same.
I really enjoyed that this course was 13 holes. It was the first time I have golfed somewhere where I didnβt play 9 or 18. While I can definitely golf all day, 13 felt perfect for an after work outing.
Being so new, the clubhouse and cart barn area were still being built. This led to a tricky parking lot and having to walker farther to get to the start of the course. I am sure this will be changed once the construction is completed, but something to note.
The greens were impeccable. No ball marks could be found anywhere and the cups were freshly cut. The roll was true and the green speed was fairly slow.
The unique thing about this course is their βnon- tee boxβ setup. The score card has one yardage on it, but there are multiple areas to hit from, all like your hitting off of a freshly cut fairway. It is great as if you do not like a certain yardage, you can move up or back to something better for you. Same goes for if you want to challenge yourself!
The price is a little step for a executive style course like this one. I believe 13 holes with a cart was $43 a person. However, the service and quality of the course made up for it. Shown in one of the pictures, they gave use each 3 complimentary tees, a souvenir ball, and a bottle of water.
All in all, I really like this course and plan to come back often!

I had so much fun playing it the first time I went back 4 more times within a week. The course is in fantastic shape, particularly the greens. Playable for all skill levels: great for a family outing or serious golfers wanting to work on their "second" shots. Easy to walk in 2hr to 2hr 15min.

What a fun short course. Beautiful fairway grass and challenging manicured greens. Don't forget the sand wedge! Jeff and Kyle have put some efforts in and it really shows. Looking forward to seeing how the course, clubhouse and restaurant all come together for next season.

Very fun course for all level of players. Great idea to "tee" up from almost anywhere, allowing to change the layout each time you play. Greens are fantastic and can only imagine will get better with time. Can walk it in under 2 hours and the scenery is great and again think will only get better as the fescue begins to grow more.

Really enjoyed this new course. Still in growing mode, but greens are so pure and lots of undulations. Slightly over priced but quality is there. A great way to practice a certain yardage as you decide where to tee off. Could play with one wedge and putter. Biarritz green hole is large and fun. Can play in about 2 hours. Lion's Mouth bunker is fun too. Super fun.
