The staff is always friendly here. Facilities are clean and well stocked. Temperature is perfect for a light or more intensive workout. Roomy layout feeling, with plenty of flexibility for various types of workouts- which I feel could suit pretty much anyone's personal preference workout setting needs. Plenty of machines, with a nice variety.

Turned away after I was told I could get a free day pass. Obviously must be for some locations, appleton east apparently doesnt have them. $20 for a day pass is crap.. the girls there directed me to crunch fitness for my starting fitness journey lol. They didn't even offer a sign up. Just said goodbye 👋 . I guess it is a judgement zone now. Kinda sad. (This isnt a rant.. this is what actually happened) I guess I dont qualify based on how I look. Thanks again

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for years. I recently switched to Appleton East location. While the facility is large and clean, the cooling this summer has been real subpar. It is so hot, mostly in back of club. Please, please, if you can not fix the AC, put in fans. Multiple ones. I’ve asked at the desk and pretty much told I need to do a review to get anything done.

Update: All said below is accurate, but it seems ownership is slow to spend money fixing their HVAC. I work for one of the larger HVAC mechanical contractors in the state of Wisconsin and offered for one of our technicians to troubleshoot the system for free( I don't believe they have taken me up on my offer as of today). That was last week and the gym is still hot as hell. It feels hotter in the gym than outside. I'm all about getting in a good sweat working out, but this is ridiculous. It's so hot and humid in the gym that you can barely hold on to the dumbbells or some of the equipment because you're sweating so much. If I wanted to workout in these conditions I would have paid extra for hot yoga at Crunch. I am not a younger person that can maybe work through these kind of conditions. If something doesn't change soon, I am going to look elsewhere to workout as I try to get to the gym 4 to 5 days a week.
Original Review: Excellent facility and very friendly staff. Usually very clean and kept up. Only suggestion would be more incline benches and/or benches that can decline as well.
