The gym is generally fine, but it does need some maintenance. One of the Smith machines has been broken for a long time, same with a bench next to the dumbbells, and one of the two rotary torso machines has been working really poorly for many weeks. I actually told an employee who was taking pictures a long time ago, but nothing has been done.

I’ve usually had good experiences here, but today around noon the manager Amber (wearing a nametag that said “Josh,” which felt misleading) was rude and entitled. When I asked her a question, she was dismissive and even escalated the situation by threatening to flag my account as suspicious so staff would create problems for me next time, she was yelling at me in front of other customers!
This is completely unacceptable behavior from management and makes the gym feel hostile rather than welcoming. I strongly urge corporate to address this. I won’t be coming back to this location ever again.

Great place to get a good workout. Almost never too crowded. Plenty of space for stretching, walking lunges, farmer carries. Sufficient number of machines, although it would be nice if they added hack-squat and hip-thrust machines. Best of all are the friendly staff, especially Amber and Tyler. They are there most mornings, to greet me when I walk in, to address my requests and constructive feedback, and to keep the place very clean. Planet Fitness on Verona Rd lives up to its promise as a Judgment-Free Zone.

This gym is amazing, I’ve never had a problem with staff until today 8/6/25. I’ve noticed you’ve hired two white entitled girls. Their attitude is pure nasty. I would fire them so quick, me personally I would hate to lose customers over two snotty females that can’t control their emotions. This is a place to work on your bodies and be mindful… not have workers bring you down. How sad. Do better on hiring employees.

Extremely rude manager. Just went up to ask a question and was responded with a pretty snide response. If you don't like people then don't work in job where you have to deal with people. Just asking someone a question shouldn't illicit such a rude response. It's stuff like this is why Planet Fitness is such a problem. This is the same location where I was treated badly for telling the late night attendant there's a homeless guy sleeping in the lobby. Normally this is my favorite place to go, but for some unholy reason the music inside was blasting at a level that completely destroyed my concentration. You could not even hear with noise cancelling headphones! Not an exaggeration! I have tinnitus and being here today set me back! Not cool! I just joined Planet Fitness. So far I am 100 times happier with PF than I was with AF. And I was just told yesterday that the gym IS staffed 24 hrs which was perfect since my schedule is so that I can get in a tan n massages at night. However, I am standing in the gym right now and can find any staff. It sucks to come out at this hour just to find out that it is not actually staffed 24/7.

I just wanted to add to this review. I ended up calling the gym while I was standing there and I just couldn't see the employee. There was somebody there and I did get to tan. It was very nice. Thank you so much, honestly. I'm so glad that I switched to planet fitness. I can't believe I stayed with anytime fitness for so long like I did. You guys are amazing There's no comparison, really there isn't thank you so much for existing

Planet fitness in Verona has horrible customer service and managers. I pay the upgraded membership due to a back problem to be able to use the massage chairs for it. I have not been able to use the massage chairs all week. I was told they are out of tokens for them. I said how is that. I was told "you people steal them". I was told they are on order for more but have not come in. Not an acceptable answer. They should have been on order when they were low..............not when for what ever reason they are gone. Scale in woman bath room did not work for at least 3 weeks. They needed a battery but did they go to get a replacement. Absolutely NOT!! Why do they not have a few on hand for back ups. Water leak in women"s bathroom for 2 weeks. Could not use the toilets, shower or changing rooms with out walking thru inch deep water. They do not listen when you are talking to staff..........to busy on cell phones or talking with each other. I can not count the times I stood at the desk to speak to some one to tan. No one was around and had to call them on my cell while standing at the front desk for help. I would not recommend this location to ANY one. Perhaps when they want to take out my next monthly fee is should tell them " My payment is on back order" Give me a break.

I enjoy going to this facility. It is clean, and the employees are friendly. I didn't give it 4 stars because there isn't a trainer at this facility, and the staff isn't very knowledgeable on the use of the equipment. There are pictures on the equipment that show which muscle groups a particular machine targets, though.

If you want to Tan or use the hydrotherapy or message chairs after midnight you're pretty much out of luck, just like the East Town Location ... Nobodies at the front desk, ever, and even if you search the entire club, Hard, you will STILL NOT Find an attendant after midnight ...

you can sit and wait near the desk forever if you'd like ...

you can pretty much even walk in after midnight and Totally not even be a member ...

There needs to be signs informing people not to use more than 1 machine at a time. I wanted to use a Pec Fly machine and couldn't because someone was using that machine PLUS another one AT THE SAME TIME. This behavior is a bit rude and inconsiderate to others that want to use a machine. Gym goers should not be allowed to use 2 machines at the same time.

Other than that, I do like Planet Fitness and have no other issues with it. I really hope you guys take this review into consideration.

Overall fine gym for what you pay. Staff are friendly and helpful if needed. They seem to constantly have issues with the TVs - either they are off or all on the same channel. The facility also just hates keeping the main big clock at the right time- don’t change it in a reasonable time after time changes (daylight savings) and or if the clock has been off. Recently it has been more than an hour and a half off for about the last 2 weeks. Equipment is in good order and overall fairly clean.

No longer a 24-hour gym. But it's inexpensive and has lots of basic workout equipment. It's a huge pain in the butt to register online. Also, you have to use an app to check in. a smartphone is now required. I just helped my brother join. It was much harder than I remember from 2015.

It is immaculately clean. All the machines you want to focus on specific muscle groups or aerobics. Free weights. Areas for body weight training. And my favorite - the 30 minute workout that includes 10 weight machines plus aerobics. The price is the best around.

Stopped in to enroll in person. Was immediately ushered to an Ipad. Wasn't even given information on the different plans initially, though that was corrected later. When I got to the point that the sign up requested payment information, it only accepted bank account information (routing number and account number). I don't have that information on me as I rarely ever use it. Long story made short - the manager was not understanding, but rather made a snarky comment before stating that they aren't even supposed to be helping us enroll, that we are supposed to be doing that on an app. I responded that I don't want another app to which he said "sounds like this is not the gym for you". You're right, it's not. I will happy pay 5 times as much at another gym to feel like I'm actually wanted. There was another customer there who was also trying unsuccessfully to sign up, we both left. Honestly, if the manager would have been understanding and apologetic, even if he couldn't solve my problem, I likely would have gone home, gotten my bank account info and come back and enrolled. But he was condescending.

I like this gym and it has been almost a year since I started. However, there is 2 old man and they keep staring at not just me but every woman in gym. They are like 60-70 years old and everyone can understand what are they looking at if they observe those guys. Especially one of them just pretending like he is working out. I can not even work out properly bcz of these guys. That is so uncomfortable. I hope manager can do something about that.

A very filthy gym. I go into this planet fitness ask a question & leave, and a jealous disgruntled employee behind the counter says I touched his fat but inappropriately than changes his story to police that I touched him somehow and made him feel uncomfortable. A confused jealousy disgruntled heavy set male employee who obviously doesn't deserve to have a job has taken up lieing because I have my own fitness instructor who got a membership there? It would be my recommendation to find a different cleaner club that has respect honest staff & is actually clean & not filthy or smelly!

It has quite a bit of room in the back to stretch and warmup. The equipment available is a great selection and generally has short wait times to use them. This is a really great gym if you're looking for the basic stuff. It is a huge space. There are tons of cardio machines, a good amount of different weight setups, a big stretching and warmup area, and a cool 30 minute speed workout zone. There are some extra perks for black card members like tanning and massage. I've been going here for a while and the gym is always clean and the staff are always friendly.

I signed up to this gym. I liked that it was open 24hrs on the weekdays. I found out this isn’t true of most the Planet fitness locations I visited. None in Phoenix are 24hr any day of the week. The reason I signed up was so I could go whenever I wanted and that is usually after midnight. Just know this if you get a black card like me and travel a lot.
