I went to the gym today and the staff didn’t let me in because they stated that I needed to present another form of payment JOJO said that his manager wrote in the computer don’t let her in” he made me feel like a criminal, after been a member for so many years without missing any payment. On October 17 they took my payment, today is October 22 and they still don't let me in.
I Don’t recommend anyone to go there. I will cancel my membership.

There was a manager there, and she was very rude with an Arab lady. She was rolling her eyes and giving her attitude while the arab lady was calm and respectful. She kept cutting the arab lady off in her sentences, something needs to happen.

I went in the other to start a membership and the women employee who started to help me smelled heavily if marijuana...like to the point my eyes were watering ...she didn't have a name tag on so I can't even tell you her name ...she didn't even want to help me she told me if I had any other questions to ask another employee but the other employees cleaning from what I saw ...she was rude and I won't be back ...isn't marijuana illegal...why would you allow an employee to come to work high ...jobs need to bring back drug testing ...it's a shame

I usually like this gym but i’m just gonna go to another site, staff here are annoying, talking aloud on their phones on the gym floor, walking around yelling during peak hours for members to clean up after themselves. I’m all for keeping the gym clean but it’s really annoying to stop my work out because i hear yelling through my headphones and think something wrong, and it’s just unprofessional.

I used to LOVE this place until management changed drastically. Sarah and Gabby were cool. The short girl with the green eyes was cool. Sam was cool. But the big one with blue eyes would boss the staff around them the little Mexican one was rude and spoke with an attitude and the one after her won't stop yelling throughout the gym at members when they work out. It's very distracting and extremely annoying during workouts. Does she know most don't speak English? This isn't the location to have a person not from this area to be like. Where are you getting these weird disrespectful managers from? This location has gone down hill since Sarah left. I want to work out and go home with no distractions. Get it together or you won't have staff OR members. And now you don't have a trainer but you advertise it which is why people sign up. Bring tray back.

I hate to be harsh because there’s nothing wrong with this gym, per se, but a lot of the clientele here are very rude and selfish. They will hog two pieces of equipment at once for long periods of time. They’ll also remove items from where they belong (such as benches for the racks) and not put them back when they are done. This also includes the barbells, dumbells and weight plates. The gym is usually clean, and staff are friendly, but I’ve never been to another gym where the customers are more rude than here. Between Wisconsin and Illinois, I have probably been to nine or ten Planet Fitness and several Xperience fitness when that was open. Never had a problem at any of the others in the 10+ years I’ve been doing this.

I like coming at night the customer service is so much better and friendlier. The manager is rude and has a horrible way to treat people who are paying every month. Might be a little late but it is paid and just because someone comes in to get a massage and shower doesn't mean you treat you them differently. A customer is a customer and we pay. But the manager and assistant manager are both rude!

The pricing alone makes your decision much easier. Anytime Fitness wants $86/mth for my wife and I together. Planet Fitness comes to $30/mth total. Do the math , Pilgrim. It should be an effortless call for you to make. Is it not so ?

This is the first gym I’ve joined and I like it. The staff is friendly and there’s plenty of equipment to use. I’ve found it doesn’t get crazy busy. I do wish they offered classes on the weekends and that I could just schedule one outside of their preset schedule.

I used to walk outside until recent after coming in contact with some coyotes. I join Planet Fitness the same day and I have simply fell in love with being a member. A girl was filming herself working out at this location and I saw that I was in the camera's view. I politely told her it made me uncomfortable and asked if she could move her phone to a different angle, or film somewhere else. She was rude and refused. When I told the front desk, they didn't apologize, nothing, just nonchalantly said they would talk to her about it. I walked back over to my station and finished my sets, went onto another machine and still no one came over. I grabbed my stuff, up and left, and won't be back. Filming should not be allowed in gyms and if it is, I won't be a part of that gym...

I've been to 2000 Planet fitness, this one is absolutely the worst. I went there 10 times in July of 2024 , the staff wouldn't let me in unless I paid an additional $5.00 . I'm a Black Card member. Never had this problem anywhere in America. I was told when I joined I could go anywhere. It's not the $5.00 , it's about the way I was treated by staff , their bad attitude. I really like to sue Planet fitness for breach of contract.

The gym itself is ok but the tyrants at the front desk have to go! I've had my locked locker broken into twice (this is not unusual for this place) so I notice many patrons have to carry their belongings with them as I do now as well. So ridiculous and all the front desk women can do is scold paying customers of color. Well get security or give a solution to the theft problem. This is unheard of. So I will continue to carry my bag or belongings until management addresses the real issue in this place. I pay your business you don't pay me.

I was charged the annual fee in July and then again in Sept. i called in Oct, i talked to someone and was told to wait 10 weeks for a refund. I went there in person end of Jan and canceled my membership and was again told to wait 10 days to receive a refund. After 16 days, still no refund. I called again, told again to wait 10 weeks. I talked to their manager “Gaby” she said there is nothing on file to proof that i talked to them. I dont know how they manage but shouldn’t they check when they charged me twice the annual fee and even after I repeatedly contacted them.? Their go to phrase if idk, we dont have control over that and when you read their website instructions, its their responsibility to assist their members in this kind of issue! Its just ridiculously.

Its not really the fault of the staff but this location is always pretty busy. Ive tried going in at 3am, 12am, 2 in the afternoon..doesn’t matter. If you prefer a quieter place id go to a different location. East capital and 57th and capital are both really good for people who want a bit more privacy.

The crowd meter on the app doesn't give the correct approximation on most weekday evenings which are actually very high in number; broken machines don't always have signs placed on them; way too many guests lounging on equipment on their cellphones, just sitting on them, not utilizing them, while others are waiting to use them; no "policing" of equipment/usage by staff, or signs posted to respectfully use & be mindful of time on the equipment, I almost hate going there after work because I can hardly ever get on the machines I am interested in......

Doesn't have any non-Smith-Machine squat racks or free barbells. It's mostly weight machines and cardio bikes with a small dumbbell section. You could get a decent workout in though. The locker rooms and bathrooms were surprisingly clean for how crowded it was.

There were cis men workers who came into the ladies room unannounced. I don't change in their open areas anymore.

Their management is very dismissive when trying to get simple things, like receipts for payment, they want you to always come to the location instead of assisting (even if you previously were in the location, but no one was available to assist you).

Planet Fitness are scammy, they bought my membership from Xperience fitness, which I was bummed about, but was ready to give them a go. Now they are charging me more than double and won't return any money. I was paying for a pool and sauna and for specific facilities. The management sends me a copy of my Xperience agreement, and then dismissively adds 'Please let me know if you have any further questions.' I will add, no one ever contacted me from either Xperience nor Planet Fitness on how the buy out would work. I'm well aware of what I was paying for a gym with a pool and sauna, why am I being charged that for much less, why am I being charged more than double a normal membership for being chill and giving them a chance?
