Really cool place. Clean and tidy, yet warm and cozy all at the same time. Everyone is very nice, and instructors are very knowledgeable. They provide multiple difficulties of how to do certain moves, so you can take it safe and easy, or challenge yourself - up to each individual. The class appointment app and payment setup is super easy to use and flexible. The prices are very reasonable. If you wanna give pole a go, this is the place to go.

Favorite place in Madison to pole! Classes are always available and easy to schedule, signing up on an as-needed basis

Studio is great; floor-to-ceiling mirrors, nice quality X-poles, fun lighting. The people there are super nice, welcoming, and accepting, extremely accommodating to all levels from beginner to advanced. Classes are very reasonably priced, and Nichole (the owner) runs promos all the time!

PCM has been nothing short of awesome! I started going with my girlfriend because she made it sound fun and I like trying new things, but it’s become one of my favorite places to go as a form of exercise and self-expression. I’m still a newbie but Nichole treats me and everyone there with respect regardless of where they are in their journey!

Post from Instagram speaking to my experience: As a person who wouldn't feel right having not said something because there's always the possibility of there being a "next person..."

On November 6, 2023 I had an extremely unsafe incident at Pole Club Madison where one of the poles came loose off the floor.

I'll emphasize that this wasn't an isolated issue to the one pole. When checking over the poles, the owner said they found multiple others that were loose besides the one I was on. The owner said they had checked the poles the day prior, but later contradicted that statement to say 4 days prior.

I encourage anybody who attends classes there, uses their space, is considering attending classes there, or knows people who do to ask for a quality control plan. Who is checking the poles, the hardware, the tension? What are their qualifications? How often are they being checked?

If this had been checked 4 days prior, what sort of criteria is being used that missed multiple other poles not being fit for use?

I was low and was not hurt- but could have been. This could have gone much worse. What if I were inverted, inverting, or aerial- like I am so many other times when this occurred?

This hadn’t been a comfortable thing to come forward about, and subsequently, was told by the owner that it is in “everybody’s best interest” that I no longer use their space because I came forward about this concern for ongoing safety. My priority is for people to be able to make informed decisions on their safety, physical well-being, and emotional well-being. By their words and actions, it seems myself and the owner have opposing viewpoints on our values for this community.

Things can happen for a multitude of reasons, but the commentary I received on social media at the end of their reply was dismissive, diminishing, and condescending to that point. The “why” they had come loose seems more alongside the business’s responsibilities. What the plan moving forward and an assurance of quality standards was the point to be illuminated for the dancers.

Aerial sports are dangerous. And, all in all, my incident, plainly, wasn’t handled with accountability or even basic decency.

A pole came loose in the studio and sent my daughter skidding across the floor in November 2023. Thankfully she was not inverted and high up when it happened. The owner did not express adequate concern for her welfare, belittled the incident, and subsequently banned her from returning because she had spoken out about the frightening experience. The integrity of poles is critical to the safety and confidence of dancers. Upon inspection, several other poles were found to be loose as well, leaving me concerned for unsuspecting patrons. It seems that preventive safety measures are inadequate, and I am disappointed by the owner’s lack of accountability. This incident was captured on video.

So happy to have a pole place on the east side! The space is much larger than it looks from outside. It's also kept spotless; I felt totally comfortable doing floorwork or going barefoot. Owner is kind and very helpful.

I am brand new to pole so I started with the pole 101 series and have since taken a few other classes. The instructors are supportive and the classes are such a fun experience. If you’re considering trying out a class, do it! It’s an inclusive atmosphere and a unique way to get in some physical activity
