Great spacious areas for various workouts with a beautiful view of nature. Also, a lap pool and aerobic pool with a communal whirl pool, or in each locker room. They also have family changing areas if you need to give/receive assistance.
Very clean.

I'm not sure why they have the rating they show. For the price they charge they should at least be polite. For a doctors ordered water therapy, there has been nothing but nastiness. I guess the therapists don't like water. So sad. This used to be the elite place to go. Where is the management? I suggest save yourself the aggrevation and spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.

Absolute ripoff on the cost of physical therapy...my 45 minute visits cost $732/each!!!...
What did I do?...worked on pulleys...stationary bike for my arms/shoulder...soft tissue work...done...$732
My therapist Jill was great...but when I mentioned price she pushed it on management, which I get...so management, you are a frickin' ripoff!!!

Absolute highway robbery with the cost of their physical therapy. A total of 7 sessions (45 minutes) is billed at $1,500 and that is after the insurance paid $2,800. My PT was great and pointed out where my pain was coming from but >$200 a session for them to use a massage gun on me and watch me stretch and do squats is crazy.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS
This place has been going downhill for years. The fitness management is clearly unaware of what the majority of their clientele needs. All their βfitness managerβ seems to cater to is him and his friends. Over the past few months, I have seen equipment come in and places being renovated to benefit the fitness manager and his friends, but nothing the majority of the clientele has requested. I have gone at various times and each time notice that the fitness manager is not in his office, placed on the fitness floor, but I have seen him working out plenty. It is very concerning to see a business that does absolutely nothing to cater to the clientele that brings in a majority of their revenue. I have spoken to some of the staff that have informed me these concerns have been passed onto management, yet nothing has been done about it.
This place has frequent closures and are unable to stay organized. This is definitely one of the more expensive gyms in the area and for what you are paying it is no where near worth it.

This place can be good, but it's so bad. First thing you will notice if you go during the day is that there is an extremely large senior community here. Makes sense considering they are "grandfathered" in on a sweet monthly rate. Nothing wrong with that if they actually respected other members in the locker room. NOT ALL, but a large chunk of these nasty old men leave their dirty towels all over the place. It's so disgusting and disrespectful to members and staff. You go in the showers and there are wet towels everywhere. If you take a shower there you will hear these old guys hack up a lung and constantly spit during their shower and God knows what else. Now if you go later in the day you get the teenage rich Pewaukee snob kids and get to hear the stupidest crap imaginable. On to west wood itself: there was a light mist of rain and yet another power outage and they will be closed the remainder of the day. What else is frequently closed? Mens sauna, Mens steam room is a huge one, mens whirlpool, public whirlpool with the frequent do not enter yellow floor sign, and good God almighty let's talk about the beautiful lap pool. I believe this is the third consecutive year the big pool has been closed for well over a month. I recieved an email last week it was going to open this week and had a good jolly laugh knowing that wouldn't happen. Sure enough it's still closed with no announced opening date currently. Next day I get another email on what west wood loves to do. Which is to upsell classes, PT lessons, tournaments, and whatever else down your throat to milk as much money out of members as possible. Yes it's a business, but make sure your building is fixed and ready to go if you're going to keep trying to reach in our wallets for more on top of monthly payments.

I've been a member for just over a year. Lots of power outages and restricted access, lots of expensive remodels yet ignoring basic maitenance like broken hooks, nonfunctioning machines like pptwl holders, cruddy shower heads hence questionably clean showers, dust ridden water fountains while under construction...
The available amenities like a pool with a life guard, basketball court, reasonable cross fit machines are nice, but the gleen gets frustrating when you know a health facility can do better.

Its a nice facility, lots of amenities... when they are open... Any slight breeze causes a power outage which they close a whole day for. And typically that will lead to many other days as it seems like they don't have power backup. I'd LOVE to say this only happened a few times but over the last couple years it's regular. Closings in the winter due to power outages and equipment not recovering, power outages in the spring and summer due to power outages. We've been members there for a few years now and on an average year, you will probably see this place closed a full month out of the year (spread out over the year). Topping that off, the hot tubs, pools, etc, are constantly closed. But the equipment is nice and the staff is good. Wifi is horrid, their app is kinda useless (for the limited things I use it for anyhow). And to top it off, they are kinda expensive given the other offerings in the area. Have debated about going to Lifetime in brookfield given its the same cost with less downtime. We will stick it out another year or two and see how it goes but buyer beware.

This gym is phenomenal when open. Unfortunately I can only workout on weekends or rain days because of my work schedule. It's very frustrating that this gym has a power outage everytime it rains. I like this gym better than any other gym when it's open but may have to leave this facility because it closes so often

Be careful when you sign up for MyFitRX. First, they charge you, then they show you the program. If you change your mind right away, they won't refund your money, even if you have a health condition that prevents you from starting the program. They still don't care. Either use it or lose it, and it doesn't matter if you die! The only thing they offer you is they can hold your account for when you feel better, and if your condition never gets better, you lose your money. A total scam.

The facility is nice enough however the staff are not all on the same page. So the wife and i tried it for a month starting in February for there Valentine's day sale of 14$ for your first month and no enrollment fees. We were told we could cancel before March 20th and not get charged for that month. We received a charge on the 5th of March of $135 for 2 middle age adults. Apparently we needed to cancel before for the 20th of February to not get charged. The fees were poorly explained. On top of that, my wife liked the pool and wanted to get one of the punch cards to free swim. Over the phone the receptionist said this was an option however in person the member service team said the pool punch card is not for free swim. It is only for specific free classes in the pool. Overall we are disappointed.

Been a member for almost 2 years and have simply had enough. There has been a total disregard for my many requests to at least have signs put up to prevent a mostly geriatric clientele from dropping, slamming and mostly misusing the many weight machines they provide. Spoke to no less than 4 employees who continue to pass the buck and say a "manager" will call me and provide a solution. Have yet to hear from Hannah or anybody else. That behavior, which they are condoning by refusing to deal with it, has gotten much worse over the past few months. Not even a sign! It's astounding how utterly toothless the management staff is to this issue. Buyer beware......

I've been going to West wood for many years. I used to use the gym but I found that I prefer the lap pool for my exercise. It's one of the best lap pools in the area. This past year has been a nightmare with the pool. If you plan on signing up to use the pool then keep reading. The pool is constantly being shut down for days at a time. Last year it was down a whole month. Now it's going to be down another month this year. On top of all that, the 9-5 management team does not seem to care about the members that use the pool during the after work hours of 5-9pm. They schedule multiple swim lessons simultaneously and also paid swim classes which reserve half the pool, or sometimes most of the pool. They "reserve" their lanes with these cute little cones and members are not allowed to swim in these lanes. You're lucky if you get to share 1 single lane on some days. So just a heads up for my fellow swimmers out there. I hope this place can return to where it once was where paying members can actually use what they want to use for exercise.

If you're looking for a gym that takes away childcare permanently with little notice then this is your place! The staff working at the kids club also were not aware of it closing down, but rather found out they are losing their jobs through the grapevine. As an employee of PHC and long time Westwood member, this is infuriating that they're removing this service that so many members utilize. Don't worry, they're keeping the spa open that is rarely open and no one uses.

I have been going here for about 2 years now. It does have a full suite of what you should expect from a gym at this price. However, in my years of experience maintaining it seems to be a struggle for current manageme/ownership. Pool has been empty for weeks, elevator not working, steam room and sauna (at least on the mens side) seems like 25% of the month is down for some reason.

Disappointed in the managements decisions of this fitness center. I use to love this fitness center, however with little to no notice they have decided to close the kids club down. My husband and I have been members for 7 years and have been apart of this gym due to the fact they have childcare. Now the gym does not value its customers at all and has decided to terminate a service that A LOT of families\ members need in order to workout. My children love the kids club and have made so many friends and they are extremely sad. This is just very sad and disappointing.

I went here with a friend to use the therapy pool. It was great! The lap pool also looked like a great place to swim laps although we didnβt go in. I didnβt use the rest of the gym so canβt speak to that but if itβs anything like the pools and locker room I would guess itβs a good gym.

Member for many years, wanted to suspend my membership for July and August. Did this by speaking to a membership person who happened to be at front desk as I asked to do this. She took down my name and stated she would take care of it. Needless to say she did not and I was charged for July. Upon calling to speak with membership and tell them my issue, I was made out like I did something wrong! I trusted this person to take care of my request and she didn't. Made me feel like I was trying to scam them. Not happy, and they said the best way to cure this is by giving me a free month when I return in September. Not happy with the way this went down.

I really enjoy working out at Westwood. You're left alone to get you work done, but if you need help/advice from any of the trainers, they are so helpful. My rating is actually 4.75 stars, it would be 5 stars if there was a sled and sandbags I could use, but I make due. :)

I went the Spa while I was here. It is a beautiful Spa. The locker room was really clean, updated and well stocked. The relaxation room and service rooms were also beautiful and clean. I had an AMAZING 90 minute massage and a very good and relaxing spa pedicure. Both the massage therapist and nail Tech were friendly and knew what they were doing. The prices for the services are great. They also have a nice selection of Avada hair and skin products to buy. They use all Aveda products for their sevices.
