Wow. I shake for a few hours once Im done with a workout at REFORMadison. It is not pilates, but it uses a reformer. Its a really hard workout and I want to get better at it, its definitely worth checking out.

Had so so much fun at Reform taking a class with a friend! The atmosphere is super welcoming for folks at all levels and Katie is just a blast to be with. She was an incredible teacher and really made us feel at home. If you want to try Lagree this is the place to do it!!

REFORMadison is such an inviting space, with the best people and a super tough workout. Lagree is very intense, but also delivers results quickly. My husband and I love to go together, we both find the workouts difficult, but fun and fulfilling. Katie is wonderful at explaining for beginners and also with modifications for those with mobility issues. 1000/10 recommend!

I’ve had a great experience at REFORMadison, and I’m excited to continue. I weightlift, spin, row, practice yoga, etc. and Lagree is right up there for a killer workout. I tend to take classes with Katie & Liz but have had good experiences with the other instructors as well. I appreciate that the instructors will get on a reformer or the floor and show you the exact move, and the other people attending the classes have been really helpful as well. A+!

I recently started going to REFORMadison and I love it. I was really nervous because I am SO out of shape and didn’t want to be judged for it. But that’s not the case at all at Reform! The atmosphere is great and encouraging! Katie Frank is awesome!! She makes you feel super welcome, ensures your form is correct, and pushes you to do your best! The workout kicks your butt and is probably the hardest type of workout I’ve ever done, but it’s so worth it!!!

My partner and I attended our first Beginner Mega this morning. We walked out. We found Lindsey Loeffler to be unpleasant, if not downright hostile, to uninitiated firstcomers. Again, this was a beginner's class, yet I found her approach to be borderline malpractice as she was unwilling to meet students halfway and provide constructive guidance on the fundamentals of the practice. Judging by the rigor of the class, it is an injury waiting to happen.

When I went to Reform back in 2021 I didn't know what to expect. Went to take a beginner class to see what it's like. It took me time to learn the lagree machine and the exercises. But after going to multiple class sessions I got so much better with it. The instructors Sarah, Lindsey, Elizabeth & the Owner Katie were very friendly & able to help me improve my fitness. They made me feel welcome every time I come in. Well always come back. REFORMadison is da best.

I have been attending classes at REFORMadison for several years and I remember my first class well; it was almost four years ago, taught by instructor Elizabeth, and I had never done a workout on a machine before… I remember feeling nervous and intimidated by the Megaformer, but Elizabeth was so encouraging and empathetic. Fast forward almost four years and 600+ classes later, and I am absolutely in the best shape of my life. Not just physically, but more importantly- mentally. The floor mat at REFORMadison says “Walk in strong. Walk out stronger.” The owner Katie has created a space where I feel SO comfortable walking in with whatever weight I do or don’t feel on my shoulders that day, and I truly do walk out feeling stronger; strong enough to remember the importance of kindness, to yourself and others. Thank you Katie for creating this incredibly encouraging and accepting community, and thank you Elizabeth for teaching my first class; you embody strength and kindness.

I love my workouts at REFORM! I definitely consider myself a beginner, but with each class I take, I get more comfortable with the machine and techniques. My experiences with the owner (Katie) and instructor (Elizabeth) have been nothing but positive! I appreciate how they cue and correct me to get the most out of this awesome workout. I attended the Beginner Reform with Elizabeth and was absolutely horrified. I was thrilled that this studio offered a beginner class as it is definitely a unique style of workout that you won't find most places. Unfortunately, Elizabeth seemed completely unaware that this was a beginner class as she was rude to multiple customers, repeated the same un-descriptive orders when it was clear most the class wasn't understanding, and barked rudely back at clients that asked questions because they were confused. She seemed to assume people already knew what they were doing which is the complete opposite of a beginner class and showed no ability to offer alternate cues nor describe things differently. I only saw her once actually demo a move and she offered 1 modification throughout the entire class for people who were struggling. She used harsh language and put down people who were struggling saying things like "I don't know how else to tell you to do X" - I was right next to the person she did this to and could think of several alternate ways to correct them as it was a very weird movement. She also messed up her right and left at one point initially and then switched it then shamed clients who followed her initial directions.

As a fitness professional and instructor myself as well as a leader of a national health and fitness organization, I frequently attend new studios and review their classes. I have attended and reviewed probably over 75 studios now across the US and have never experienced such an unwelcoming, rude, discouraging, and incompetent beginner instructor. I have no doubt she knows how to perform these movements and can tell an experienced class what to do, but in a beginner class your job is to teach and to create a positive learning experience. I welcome someone who will push me, but I do not welcome someone who barks and belittles me for not understanding her confusing directions. It worries me that people who may be taking their first exercise class in a long time could potentially be subjected to that experience – had I been when I was starting out I can guarantee it would of deterred me from ever wanting to come back.

Seeing these other reviews, it seems like I might have just gotten a bad instructor. I will say the workout itself was incredible and the programming is excellent. Unfortunately Elizabeth ruined that experience. If you're a beginner, I recommend taking it with someone else or going to SolidCore to become familiar with the reformer as while they do not do exactly the same style, it's very similar, uses the same type of machine, and has instructors that will give a much more positive beginner experience.

Katie and her team of awesome coaches push you to limits you didn’t even know you had. They are all so motivating, nice, accommodating, and just all around amazing. If you have ever wanted to try out a class but think you’ll be uncomfortable because you’ve never done this workout before, I encourage you to still show up. It was my first workout in the last year or so and I felt right at home with the support Katie provided throughout.

I'm mainly there as cross training with running (to stave of running injuries). So I like core work, especially moves that hit muscles that you don't think about using and didn't really know you had.

This is the 1st class I've ever done after getting bored with years of working out in my basement, so it's been good. (If they ever added TRX or kettlebells I'd be signing up for that as well!)

REFORMadison is fantastic. Why; you ask? The trainers are all above average (far above) at queing skills, posture/movement corrections and most of all; motivational dialogue.
As a student of a diverse set of pilates practices; I am most satisfied with the consistency in the value of each class. I am reassured each visit that when I decide to drive 2hrs (R/T) to attend this studio; it is because there is no doubt that it is worth my time, commitment, and the many opportunity costs that land second in line to my consistent practice. REFORMadison works diligently to keep the integrity of my body and attitude at it's best. I would reccomend this studio to people of all experience levels (or lack there of). With the correct individual instruction to gain general knowledge of this practice; it will be no time before you are headed in a direction that your body will reward you with, forever. Good luck!

This is the best, most efficient cardio and resistance workout in the shortest amount of time in Madison. It is a unique way to work different core muscles and work to maintain control through movements. I love the shake you get when you do legs. Even with a bad knee my legs are feeling way stronger compared to when I just lifted. All the staff and instructors are super friendly and helpful too. At first, I didn’t know many of the exercises, but you end up catching on quickly. Having grippy socks is helpful too. You will not be disappointed if you try it.

REFORMadison and the community within is the best thing I've done for myself in years! If you put in the work you'll see the results. I love the instructors and the friends I've made along the way. A truly welcoming group pulling for each other... through sweat and some muttered curse words ;)
I've looked for years to find something but haven't found the right fit until REFORM. Slow counting and about the toughest workout I've experienced but I absolutely love it! I'm so much more confident and comfortable in my own skin. Highly recommend!
