I've been working with RunFit the past handful of months and it's been unbelievable! For someone who was looking to gain weight/muscle mass you might not think "RunFit" is the go to for weight training, but they are! Karen has helped me understand my body type, what workouts work best for me, the nutrition I need to hit to help hit goals, understanding my body measurements, and so much more!

I've gotten to know the whole RunFit team over the months and they are second to none! If you're looking for run training, weight training, nutritional consulting, really anything, reach out to them and they'll help you more than you'd expect!

I had been running for 10 years before I joined runfit and in the one year I spent with Amy Balestrieri I became a much faster and stronger runner. Amy taught me more about pacing, fueling, training and injury prevention than I would have learned on my own. Amy took me through a half and 2 full marathons and helped me beat my 1st marathon time significantly the same year. She's the best! I highly recommend her!

Following the pandemic, I was really struggling with my runs. I had lost all motivation and just felt like I wasn't getting anywhere.

I worked with Peter to first get myself back on track, then run a 10k and a half-marathon. The training over the summer was challenging, but with my own goals in mind. While I narrowly missed my time goals (by just two minutes on the half marathon. Next time!), Peter set a training plan for me that never felt unmanageable. We had regular checkins via Zoom, and he was a relentless motivator, helping me through challenges and minor muscle aches.

I can't recommend Pete highly enough. He changed my running completely, and I feel much better for it.

Decided to start running to stay active but knew that I wanted to do it safely with a coach and found RunFit MKE. Truthfully, one of the best decisions I had made. Carey is amazing and SO supportive; I couldn’t have asked for a better coach. I went from thinking that running a mile was awful to running a half marathon like WHAAAAT? Karen is also awesome and taught me how to eat to fuel my body. I ended up losing 15 pounds which was an added bonus to the endurance I wanted.

10/10 recommend!

RunFit is incredible! Coach Carey is endlessly supportive, uplifting, and challenging (in a good way!) and helped me prepare for races from a 5k all the way up to a full marathon. Karen Berenson was enthusiastically involved in my first attempt at weight training. Karen and I are co-coaches of a high school cross country team. She excels at working with young runners. She's supportive but firm, and kids immediately recognize that she cares and wants to help them excel. She's also an expert at the technical side of running. I send all injury issues to her, and she can quickly diagnose what's wrong and suggest just the right stretch or strength exercise or form adjustment to mitigate. She runs our strength and agility training, too. Those sessions are a beast -- full-body torture targeted to build strength and prevent injuries -- but we hardly realize the agony because Karen injects elements of fun and competition. She keeps things light.
