Super disappointed in the new ownership. Let creepy men harass the younger female clientele with no repercussions whatsoever. Super dismissive and unconcerned with making it a chill place to workout. Been a member since 2010 and just switched to UWP. Haven’t looked back.

I started at Anytime, then the University gym, but I'm happy to say I found my home for working out at Snap fitness. The owners are nice, compassionate, and understanding. They are willing to help you on whatever journey you may be on. Plus I find the plan to be affordable compared to other gyms and worth it for the big space you have access to. I'm excited to see the progress I make here :)

Snap Fitness in Platteville Wisconsin is the best gym I've ever been to! I've lived in a few different places in my life, and been a member of a gym in each city I resided in. None have been as good as this one. I didn't expect that from a gym in a small town, but Snap Fitness is a pleasant surprise. This gym membership is incredibly affordable. At this gym, I've lost about 20 lbs of fat and gained about 5 lbs of muscle. The owner, Nick, used to be my personal trainer. When he was my trainer, I could tell it was more than just a job to make a living to him. To him, this is a passion. You can tell that he, and the rest of the staff, really love helping people. The whole staff there is very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and supportive. You aren't just another member there, you matter. This was very motivating and inspiring to me. They also have every machine and piece of equipment I've ever wanted/needed for my workouts. Never have I said to myself "oh I wish they had that..." Nope. They've got it all! They also offer fun and unique classes, like cycling class. All-n-all, whether you just want to maintain and go casually, or if you have big health and physique goals, this place is for you. All ages, genders, and races, are welcomed. And as a woman, I've never felt uncomfortable there. Knowing the staff, I know I'm in great hands when I step in the door. Thank you Snap Fitness Platteville!! You helped me turn my life around 😊

If you're in the Platteville area, this is your go-to gym. During staffed hours, you're always greeted with a warm welcome (and possibly some friendly bantering!). There's plenty of cardio equipment, resistance machines, free weights, bands, balls, etc, for a full workout.
Even though this aligns more with "commercial gym," it really fits the needs of any gym-goer. I am a competitive powerlifter, and I can always find what I need to get my workouts in.
I know this Snap accepts members through Silver Sneakers. They also offer a couple's rate and a student discount. Prices are very reasonable. There are also a few personal trainers on staff if you want accountability or someone to push you to your goals.
TL; DR - Great gym that fits the needs for most. Very friendly staff, and good rates.

UPDATED: Hidden startup fees that were not shared upon initial sign up, but worked with one of the chain owners that offered discount/opportunity for future month. My suggestion would be to encourage employees to share all fees included and update website to make these fees easier to find. I realize that they are also in the contract you sign, but being rushed to sign up and not have time to read the contract prevents the knowledge on the fees until it is too late. If you are considering joining this gym, wait until there is a sign up deal, specifically ask the employee helping sign you up on what fees are included, and also present your student ID if you are a student for an additional discount. On the plus side, you are paying for what you get so there is a lot of equipment, you can go at anytime, and the employees are very understanding and very helpful.

The owners and staff are always so friendly and encouraging :) The facilities are clean and well kept with 24 hour access. All the members encourage each other to push and achieve goals and not once have I ever felt judged by anyone. We're all there for a purpose, whether it be to build muscle, lose weight or some other health reason and the environment is inviting for whatever reason we are there. LOVE SNAP!!

I was in town for business and was looking for a place to get a decent workout. I'm giving this place 5 stars for both the actual gym and the customer service. The gym is kept very clean and well organized even in non-staffed hours. It has everything you need. Additionally, the staff was very nice, polite and accommodating. Thanks again for the additional pass and I will definitely stop by again when I'm in town!
