This is not your common, bendy, stretchy, Western yoga joint.

Sukha in Sankrit means: ease, joy, happiness... and this is what you can find here. The Guides in this studio are all knowledgeful, trauma-informed and I consistently find them to be amazingly intuitive. Sukha Somatics is a safe, inclusive space, offering great insights on Recovery from substances, behaviors & other types of often harmful lived experiences. There is also a wonderful concept offered at Sukha Somatics, in-which those who are financially able, can contribute a little bit (or a lot bit, if you like) extra in-support of those who may not be able to afford to pay for classes/membership, so that everyone can have access to practice. The Spaceholders and practitioners in this beautiful space are some of the kindest and friendliest humans I have ever found, in all of my travels & experience. β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ©΅πŸ’™πŸ’œ

Easily one of my favorite places to be. For yoga, meditation, meetings, the art nights are really fun too. The teachers are amazing. Super knowledgeable and kind. I was new to everything and they've helped me through all of it. I couldn't recommend it more.

I am so grateful to be a member of Sukha Somatics! All you need to bring is your body - they've got the yoga mats, props, blankets, and tea ready for you. I especially adore Savannah's restorative classes. I feel so supported, cared for, and safe at this cozy space.

One of the sweetest little spots in Madison and surrounding areas for inner and outer connection and healing. I absolutely love the owner and teachers there, and the amazing plants you are welcomed with (and invited to purchase, as well) are such a lovely greeting into practice. Highly recommended ❀️

The studio is beautiful, cozy with soothing but also vibrant energy. Alissa has a gentle spirit, and is also incredibly bright and articulate in explaining not only the what of yoga and meditation but also the why. Highly recommend! And her therapy dog, Dawson, is the bees’ knees. Fabulous sweet and social, calming but also funny and entertaining.

Alisa has created a really beautiful place to practice. Her class left me feeling grounded and provided a great workout. It was challenging yet had plenty of room for modifications and moments of mindfulness. This studio is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

Amazing!! Because Alisa is a licensed yoga therapist (this is super rare!), her knowledge of the mind-body connection, anatomy and safe and healing yoga is exceptional. Her semi private yoga studio is a calm, relaxing and welcoming environment. I've attended many yoga classes in my life from large group classes, to more individualized yoga classes and Alisa is hands-down, the best yoga teacher I've ever had the pleasure to work with. That being said you don't need any Previous yoga experience in order to enjoy her class as she is excellent at providing modifications so you can individualize your practice to make everything even more challenging or easier should you wish. In addition to providing modifications she always make sure you feel welcome and is very mindful Of how she can provide the type of class that your body is needing that day. I Have never seen a yoga teacher that is it as intune with her students. I truly LOVE every class I have ever attended of hers. I always look forward to when I have the pleasure of attending another one of her classes.
