We love Swimtastic Franklin! It's clean and wonderful facility. The staff is great. Our both kids love swimming. We have been with this school for over 9 years (both kids are part of swim team now). Swimsuit dryer in girls locker room is a great idea :-)

A Perfect Place for Little Swimmers!
Enrolling our 2.5-year-old in lessons at Swimtastic has been one of the best decisions weβve made. From the start, the experience has been outstanding, and I canβt recommend this facility enough for families with young children.
Welcoming Environment
The staff at Swimtastic truly understand how to work with toddlers. From the moment my son entered the pool area, the outstanding instructor made my little one feel comfortable and excited. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and designed to ease any first-time jitters for both parents and kids.
Safe and Clean Facilities
Safety is clearly a top priority at Swimtastic. The pool is warm, shallow enough for beginner lessons, and meticulously maintained. The facility is spotless, with plenty of family-friendly features like spacious changing rooms and a comfortable viewing area for parents.
Fun and Confidence-Building
The lessons are thoughtfully structured to focus on water safety, basic skills, and building confidenceβall while keeping the experience fun. Our toddler now even practices some of the skills at bath time! Itβs amazing to see the progress in just one week.
If youβre considering swimming lessons for your toddler, Swimtastic is the perfect choice. Their combination of expertise, kindness, and fun will make you and your little swimmer feel right at home. Highly recommend!

The staff is friendly and helpful. They have done a great job with my 5 year old, the first five classes was more like a therapy session to get her not afraid of being underwater, and they were extremely patient with her, and now she swims like a fish. It's been a fantastic experience, with massive positive results in only 3 months.

Teachers are super friendly, and classes are geared perfectly for kids. I wish there were more times available and that the waiting/ viewing room wasn't so crowded and chaotic. The water in the showers tends to be on the colder side, and my toddler has complained about being cold. The facility is getting too small for the number of clients they cater for. I have had to find parking a block or two away during the busiest times.

Teachers are very engaging and patient with each student. They rotate what the kids practice each week which helps challenge the kids each week from just doing the same thing over and over. The levels are appropriate age group and skill level. Teacher to student ratio is always 1 teacher to 2-3 kids (typically). Overall, we are very happy with Swimtastic- Franklin

Our 6 year old son has been taking private lessons at Swimtastic for the last three summers. Management has always worked with us to ensure his instructor was a good fit & accommodated my requests. This summer he is taking lessons with Brianna and weβve really started to see his confidence grow. Initially he was struggling a little bit with his breathing techniques under water and Brianna took the time to get to know him & he told her how he loves music and plays the piano. She was able to weave the two together to provide techniques so that he manages his breathing much better and doesnβt struggle anymore. Speaks volumes to her engagement and dedication to her students. Our son is now able to swim unassisted using various strokes and says swim is his favorite sport. Each week we see him make more and more progress. We initially put him in lessons for peace of mind & safety and now thanks to the great instructors like Brianna I see this becoming a lifelong passion.

I would not recommend Swimtastic. Initially, we loved the facility and staff. However, after an instructor told my 3.5 year old to go down the slide and he almost drowned after no one was at the bottom to catch him and he was under water for close to 10 seconds, I would say safety is lacking.
We met with the owner and manager to discuss the situation and the owner laughed throughout the meeting-telling us this was a learning opportunity for them-my son almost drowning is what it took???
Iβm sorry-but there weβre at least 4 instructors in the water-all on the end of the pool with the slide and a lifeguard on the pool deck-none of which saw my son hit the water-it took my husband and I running into the pool area for someone to be alerted and pull my son up. If we would not have been watching closely through the glass window-Iβm really terrified to know what would have happened.
Many other parents saw the incident and could not believe their eyes. I know this changed many of their opinions on the establishment.
We attempted to do private lessons with them after this incident-however, instructor consistency lacked and my son ended up regressing to a point that it didnβt even seem like he took lessons.
If you are looking for a safe swim school-I suggest looking elsewhere.

Pros:
1. Instructors are good and friendly.
Cons:
1. Impossible to reach over phone. Its Terrible.
2. No clarity on plan, progress or timeliness.
3. Hard to do make-up classes. You will just get a couple of weeks time but you will hardly get any slot.
4. Very Costly. Specially its a 30 mins class and you dont get more than 10 mins for your child.
5. If by luck you get chance to make up, you can't cancel it even if you are sick.
6. Execuses are not granted unless you bring in Doctor's proof even you explain and request them.

Great place for kids parties! Swimtastic Franklin is clean and the staff is wonderful. My 7 year old birthday boy raved, βBEST PARTY EVER!β
The pool area is nice and very warm. The pool is not very deep, 3β6β to just under 5β, I believeβplus there is a nice slide! The changing areas were also well kept/clean. I loved that the party room is just outside the pool deck so you can sit back comfortably and watch your kid play though the big viewing windows.
Also: The lifeguard we had for our party, Olivia, was professional and kind. She was so patient with a bunch of crazy 6-7 year olds!
They have different options for birthday parties which is great if you are worried about affordability. The staff will also work with you for payment. I put down a deposit and paid the remainder the day of the party. I called and left a message and someone returned my call within a day.
We are definitely taking our son back for lessons now because it was such a great experience.
Highly recommend!!

The instructor doesn't leave my kid on the sideline when she says, "no" and is crying. My daughter is just nervous/scared and the instructor is gentle and takes her anyways. I feel like a mean parent saying this but I love that. We paid decent money for these lessons, the instructor makes full eye contact with me the whole time she is with my child, they aren't hurting her one bit, not dunking her under the water or anything. My child is completely safe and fine just crying but will never learn if they feel bad and leave her be! Thank you so much to the poor kind girls who graciously guide and train my daughter! You are not mean and your faithfulness to teaching swimming has not gone unnoticed! My daughter needs to learn and you're doing a great job! High quality!

I swam here for 9 years before I had foot surgery and fell off the swim team but I have to say they always made me feel welcome at home. I always wanted to be there and my parents could not keep me away from swimming!!! My son has taken swim lessons here for almost 5 years and we love it! The office staff are always friendly and responsive to questions/concerns! The swim instructors are very knowledgeable and are all great with the kids! The small class sizes are perfect and the kids never seem bored! My son has come so far from being terrified of the water when he first started to now swimming (almost) like a pro at 7 years old! I would recommend this place to anyone! They have helped not only my son but so many kids love the water! Definitely one of the best swim schools around!

Poorly managed and supervised. Our son almost drowned during his session. My wife had to enter the pool area and almost had to jump in for him before the instructor noticed him struggling. Lifeguard paid no attention to the pool. He was too worried about cleaning up the pool deck and never had eyes on the children. We complained to management and was told they would make sure the lifeguard watches the pool. Next session nothing changed. When we complained again they just shrugged it off. This place is unsafe for your children. I hope a child doesn't get hurt before they change this.

They charged my account $65, SEVEN MONTHS after my children stopped attending their lessons. When I called and inquired about the charge, I was told it was due to "a billing system issue in March that was now fixed and they're now able to look at past statements and make adjustments". I further inquired about a notice to the customer or asking for permission before billing account, but apparantly an email THE SAME DAY that money was taken from account is appropriate at this facility.
In addition to this, if you sign up for a 3 month session, which is that I originally did, they will continue to take money out of your account after that and automatically enroll in you further sessions, without your permission or knowledge. No money will also be refunded, they will just cancel it once you call, going forward.
P.S. I have noticed this problem on multiple reviews, but I STILL decided to give them a chance. Lesson learned - never again.
I may not get my money back, and that's okay, but I assure you that none of my family, friends, or acquaintances will be coming here after they find out the money scams this business is doing.
DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING HERE!

Their billing system is a mess. After withdrawing from our program I was incorrectly charged twice. The first one took weeks to resolve after multiple phone calls reminding them that they owed me a credit. Still dealing with second one!
Baby class is a joke. 15 minutes of instructed class, then just as much as βfree timeβ, which with a one year is pretty much just the parent swimming around with them!
Also no lights in the parking lot our entire winter session! They are lucky no one has slipped yet!
Not worth the $$$!

3 kids in my childrens' class, and 2 of them are mine, had I timed the actually learning and swimming aspect of these "sessions".. my children would've swam for about 2 minutes each... seriously.. I'm not being factitious. Class is too expensive for what you get, and I'm not a cheap person, I'd gladly pay for more instruction, but they are learning nothing here... the facility is clean and staff are basically kids, but I don't have a problem with that, it really just comes down to what you get for the price tag.. I'll finish out the month and then that's that.. literarily spend your money on a pop up pool in your back yard and put some time in with your kids, unless you like flushing money down the drain... pun intended

We were not satisfied with the quality of instruction and non-certified teachers. They claim group lessons but zero group activity. For a 30 min class with 4 kids and 1 teacher, each child effectively gets 5-6 minutes of instruction for a very expensive price compared to much more affordable & better Franklin Recreational Center or Innovative Fitness . Very rude owner and manager. Owner asked to attend 2nd class which we agreed but were not satisfied. Owner went personal about child not listening to your child can never learn swimming. Very bad customer service. Refund policy is not very clear. We asked for a refund within 48 hours of first class (typically first class is trial by industry standard). We asked for a refund for remaining classes only which owner declined. She offered a refund only in case we move to different location. I offered her I can move to different locations due to bad experience there (Swimtastic has multiple franchises) which owner thought I am lying over small amount of money! Ultimately the owner very arrogantly blocked us and keeping all the money with her.

I can't say enough good things about the teachers here. My children are now 3 and 5 years old and can both swim completely on their own all thanks to the teachers at swimtastic. My 3 year old can do a front crawl and my 5 year old loves going to the bottom for rings and jumping into the pool. I particularly love the small class sizes and believe that they are contributing factor to our success here. The staff is so helpful and my kids look forward to swimming every week.

Sick of cold/luke warm showers for my 2 sons. Never had any problem with the showers until right after Xmas when I believe they got a new hot water heater. I complained to the front desk every week for over 2 months and they still can't get it fixed (it's now been going on for almost 4 months) The water comes out pretty hot on the sink (albeit with very low pressure/restricted flow), but the shower is cold. I feel bad making my kids use it and keep their showers as short as possible. SO SICK OF THIS BEING AN ISSUE!!!

The coaches are good, and caring. However, there is only 1 room to change in if your child is over 5. Tonight I had the absolute worst customer service in my life. The front desk manager was extremely rude. I had to stand and wait for her, for over 5 minutes waiting for her to finish her personal call, just be interrupted by another call...so I stood for 6-8 minutes waiting for her to acknowledge me. When we finally started to talk, she was rude, disrespectful, and condescending. The owner will be getting a phone call, that's how crappy my experience was....if not for the rest of the staff, this wouldn't even have 1 star. Go to the YMCA.
I just found out the rude "lady" was the owner...don't judge a book by it's cover, a lot of people who dress "crappy" are millionares.....life lesson!

The staff here is beyond fake, they are cooperative until you ask for your money back. Furthermore, they had computers stolen from their property in the past that had contained customer's personal information as well as credit card information that was never reported to the customers. When I found this out I immediately took my business elsewhere. Certainly do not recommend going here between the overly fake manager who is on her phone all the time instead of doing her job, the barely trained staff with exception of a couple teachers, and the lack of honesty with their customers with regards to protecting their information, STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!! Go to the Waukesha one, you will be much more satisfied.

Need to consitrate on middle and lower parts body. Facilities were clean . The big problem I had was travel to the location was 45 minutes and the gas prices are high. Not worth the travel. Please notify me if you open a location on the Northwest side of Milwaukee or Mequon Area.
