Great group fitness gym. Love the community and location (don't have to deal with the crazy downtown traffic). The coaches/trainers are very knowledgeable. They help correct my form and encourage me to go past my comfort to get the results I desire. Enjoy being a part of the challenges when those come around too.

I emailed the team at Lake House Fitness and they got back to me immediately. I had the opportunity to drop in today at the 9:00 AM class and the community was incredible. 10/10 recommend if you are in Lake Geneva!

I’ve been a member at this gym for a little over a year now. I was a little skeptical at first and wasn’t sure it was my kind of training, coming from an athletic background. The trainer Justin was very helpful in guiding me, as I was unfamiliar to these types of workouts and the lifting portion. He’s knowledgeable about the workouts and movements/lifting and is motivating. I would recommend this gym to anyone with any kind of workout background, whether it’s someone who is just beginning or someone who works out daily.

The members at The Lake House Fitness were very nice. My biggest problem there was coach Justin. He was very arrogant and often rude towards me and other members. In several months as a member, Justin refused to coach me, dismissed my goals and, most often, just ignored me and several other members. It was very uncomfortable!

Prior to starting at The Lake House Fitness I was told to expect something very similar to CrossFit. Unfortunately that was simply not the case. Almost immediately it became clear that Justin hated CrossFit. He even went so far as to scold a member who asked him what the “Rx weight” for a workout was.

After expressing my concerns to the owner I was told that nothing is going to change and that this may not be the gym for me. I decided to leave and haven’t regretted it. Fortunately, I have since found a new gym and have already seen more growth in my short time there than my many months at The Lake House Fitness.

After we moved, I was searching for a new fitness community and came across the lake house and couldn’t be happier.

I’ve dropped in at dozens of affiliates and the level of personal coaching is unparalleled. Whether you bleed Crossfit, or are just wanting to start exercising, the two different programs will fit whatever you need is.

I’m also biased but I think everyone there is super friendly.

My biggest complaint with Lake House Fitness is the head coach and partial owner, Justin. I struggled with his rude demeanor, unprofessionalism, and selectiveness towards members.

A little over a year ago, the owner of The Lake House Fitness bought equipment from a closing gym and pulled many former members, including myself. The transitioning members came from a CrossFit background, and the owner told us his competition track would include similar style workouts. The Lake House website even states, "everyone from all fitness backgrounds will feel accepted and included," and "someone familiar with Crossfit would be happy at the gym." Hearing these statements and being the only CrossFit-like gym in the Walworth County area, we were hopeful about the transition.

I was very disappointed that most of the statements presented by the owner and the website were inaccurate. The coach at Lake House Fitness seemed to hate everything about CrossFit. The word CrossFit, or terms related to it, appeared to be a trigger for him. He would respond rudely to any member who accidentally called the class CrossFit or used words such as Rx. The coach also became very selective towards members. Some members were treated very well, while others who preferred CrossFit style workouts were disregarded. A few of us eventually expressed our concerns which, unfortunately, led to further issues. We were ignored for months and received zero coaching. I have never felt so uncomfortable walking into a gym. The coach wouldn't even acknowledge me though he would go above and beyond to greet others.

Finally, out of desperation, I met with the owner to discuss how coach Justin treated me. I truly believed the owner would try his best to help resolve any conflict. However, he made me feel that the issues with the coach were my fault and told me I would be happier at another gym. The owner completely disregarded my concerns about the coach's maltreatment and even backed his decision to ignore members. In response to members' concerns about Justin’s programming, the owner said we should all eventually want to “grow up, '' and most members over 30 prefer the sculpt track over the competition(CrossFit) workouts. I was shocked by this statement as I do not believe your age should determine your workout preference.

It became clear that the owner was trying to say whatever he could to get me to quit. Knowing other members did leave due to similar circumstances, I do not recommend this gym. It is only suited for sculpt members, the coach is incredibly rude and condescending, and the owner will back up the coach no matter what. There are plenty of group options around this area for sculpt workouts for a fraction of the cost. My final advice is to seek other options as I did; it is not worth the $120 monthly membership fee.

I visited Lake House Fitness while in Lake Geneva on business. I was impressed with what they offered. It is a simple circuit training gym with a great program and nice people. Justin is a great instructor. He took the time to teach me new stretches and coach me through each workout. While there were numerous younger adults working hard, Justin also took the time to help people who were interested in a slower pace. Many gyms have equipment but don’t guide you in a program. Even though I was only in town for a week, Justin took the time to lead me through the program and help me find the right weights for each exercise. I strongly recommend Lake House Fitness if you are interested in a great workout.

I’ve been going to this gym for a couple months and have been seeing great results! Justin is a fantastic trainer that takes time with each member to help with form, tips and any questions that might come up. I cannot speak enough about how great the gym is.

Really great vibe. Dropped in over Thanksgiving break and immediately got to work with great encouragement from the coaching staff and the 430 PM crew. Quality equipment and clean environment. Great opportunity to get in and be a part of building the culture of a new fitness option for Lake Geneva locals.
