About the Club

At the Transformation Center, our mission is to make health and fitness accessible and achievable for all, especially for those who don’t find their fit or feel comfortable in a typical gym.

We do this through small group personal training (over 70 sessions each week) and nutrition coaching at our well-equipped facility on Madison's west side.

I workout at the Transformation Center because it is a community that allows me to become stronger. The trainers create unique workouts and demonstrate the activities. I have some hip limitations and each trainer welcomes me to ask about modifications, if I feel a move will not be comfortable for me. The workouts are never exactly the same which I enjoy. Give it a try and get stronger with me.

I joined the Transformation Center 6 weeks ago and what took me so long. I am active, but have never done weight training. A game changer. Hitting the golf ball further and more importantly strengthening my back and core. Hit a milestone this Fall. I could clean out my perennial beds without getting a sore back. Eight years ago, I would have never seen myself the way I do now. I had never been an athlete, never really worked out. But by the time I reached 50 I was not happy with my body. It wasn’t working the same, I was tired and I couldn’t keep up a lot of the time. I was also about 30-50 lbs overweight which was affecting me mentally. I read a few things about the TC and decided to give it a try. Well almost 8 years later I am still there and it and the people there are a huge part of my life. My lifestyle has not changed dramatically but I do find myself making better food choices. I love the workouts because I have so much more energy during the days that I workout. I have lost 30 lbs and know that I could loose more if I put my mind to it. If I shared with my community at the TC that I wished to do that they would support me in so many ways it’s hard to explain. I didn’t mean to go on so long but if this helps just one person like it helped me then it was worth it😊

I am a newbie. I have only had 4 sessions as a Transformation Center member but from day 1 I have already reaped the rewards. I am a senior with the motivation to keep pushing beyond my 88 years. I found The Transformation Center on Facebook and with hundreds of advertisers boasting their wears what caught my eye was their, I'll call it pitch. "Senior program, focusing on strength of muscles and balance". Now what senior could not be curious about these exact issues we face? I immediately contacted them and had a complementary workout the very next day. After a not too easy and somewhat vigorous routine I walked away feeling rejuvenated. Yes, the next day I felt it but in my mind feeling it ment to me it was working. And so it has. Only four sessions into this program my balance has improved which I notice while walking and my strength and stamina are allowing me to increase my length of routines. After saying all this I must comment on the staff. They are there for me. So helpful, so understanding and so very concerned about my well being to the point I look forward to my next session.

It’s really quite simple. These are classes I do not want to miss. And on those occasions when I am feeling unmotivated or just plain lazy or that I am too busy to go but I get myself to class anyway, I always feel 1000 times better after class. I have never once regretted going to the workout but I have always regretted when I don’t go. In the past I tried just being a runner. These workouts have allowed me to become a better runner. The hills are easier and the runs are more enjoyable and I can stay injury free.

The most I had ever worked out before joining the Transformation Center was marching in the band in high school. When I was 52, my mother moved to be near me the last years of her life. She was the very best of moms, but I knew I would need something that was just my own space. I had heard of the TC on the morning news shows and decided to give it a try. I haven’t looked back! The TC community support was invaluable during my mother’s last years. I’ve made many friends at the TC. I’ve done 5Ks, cookie exchanges, concerts and Tough Mudders with TCers. The first Tough Mudder took us 3 ½ hours to finish but we stuck together and encouraged each other the entire way. That is just how it works at the TC. Joining ten years ago was one of the best decisions of my life.

Fit Over 50 is THE BEST!
I came for a free trial and 3+ years later I’m still lovin’ it! The TC trainers are great; they mix-up the workouts so it’s different every time. The classes are small, so there’s tons of personal attention. When COVID hit, they added online classes. Now I can ZOOM or go in-person -- whatever works for me. Strength training; cardio; core – it’s all there at the TC. And, lots of great people to share it with. TWO THUMBS UP!

Then I joined the Killer Kurves class at the Transformation Center and met Liz, one of the owners. This is a wonderful gym particularly if you are an older adult. The instructors are well trained to help senior citizens. My favorite part is the atmosphere - everyone, from instructors to members, is very supportive. It really is a no judgement zone. The Transformation Center is unlike any other gym, and is so much more than a gym. It's a community first, health and fitness center second. It's the only fitness center I've ever felt good about attending. I've been part of the community for the past 10 years (!!) and it's helped me get into the best shape of my life, and maintain mental and physical health even throughout this crazy pandemic.

The owners and staff care deeply for their clients and go above and beyond to meet people where they are, understand their needs, and help them achieve their personal health and fitness goals. And in addition to fitness, they offer some amazing resources in terms of healthy eating, joint health and mobility, and mindset. They are very holistic in their approach--it's much more than exercise alone.

Most importantly, it's a safe place to show up, regardless of your age, weight, experience or fitness level. You'll never be judged. Everyone is on their own health journey and is so respectful and supportive of that. If you are looking for a supportive environment to improve your health, give it a try. You won't regret it!

I joined the Transformation Center 1.5 years ago, during a pandemic. I live in Colorado so zoom is the only way I could attend classes. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am not an athlete so the one on one coaching, corrections during zoom classes, encouragement and the TCs focus on my overall health and well being is the best support. All the trainers are awesome to work with. I highly recommend trying them out, you will quickly become part of the community whether you are near or far!

Whether you work out in person or on ZOOM, you’ll always get a good workout from the trainers at TC. The facility is clean and stocked with a good variety of equipment . I have been participating in Fit over Fifty classes via ZOOM and always feel like I get a good workout. The trainers mix things up and the classes are demanding but achievable. They also can modify workouts for physical challenges a client may have. The classes are a fun place to chat with others in between reps!
I’m so glad I’ve joined and continued at the TC throughout the pandemic, it’s been both a physical and mental lifesaver!

The variety at the TC keeps me coming back. No two work-outs are exactly the same. Each trainer has a different style. They make in-person as safe as possible and zooming is user friendly. I never formally exercised until after I retired when I realized I needed something that provided, strengthening, aerobics, balance, conditioning and flexibility support. The TC does it all.

After 2 years at TC, I have more strength, endurance, and movement. Before TC, I struggled with pain in my back, pelvis, and knee, even after OT, PT, and chiropractor. But now I no longer have to sleep in a recliner, and my knee no longer clicks every time I move it. TC provides such a connection to staff and clients, so it is always a fun exercise class. I joined a few months before Covid. What I loved at that time was the community that I became a part of. Made friends all working to become healthier and stronger. Then we got closed down due to Covid. Within a couple of days the amazing team of trainers created virtual zoom workouts. How good can they be????? Well they were and are excellent. While we were not in person the trainers were there encouraging us. It was not the same as in person but it was my lifeline for those many months. I loved the fact that I got to do workouts with all the trainers just by doing a different class time.

I have been a member of the Transformation Center for over 3 years. While I have had a membership in several area gyms over the years it is the ONLY gym I attend regularly. The others I paid a lot of money and didn’t attend. I love the fact that we're in smaller groups with alot of instruction and communucation with your trainer! I also love that you actually get to know the people you're working out with! I have been a client at the Transformation Center for a year and a half now. I came because I wasn't having any luck losing weight or being healthier about my eating on my own. I joined the Killer Kurves (K2) program and the difference in my level of fitness is crazy! I haven't lost much weight, but I have lost a couple of inches, I'm eating healthier, feeling happier and generally stronger and more comfortable in my body, and I've made great friends to help continue to push me to be the best version of me. In the end, the weight doesn't matter nearly as much as the confidence and comfort I've gained.

This place is amazing!! I attended K2 at 6:30pm with Mary and Brent. Best instructors for me as a beginner... Brent has a wonderful positive inviting attitude and Mary does great with challenging you during work outs. Instructors and group keep you accountable for attending and are sooo supportive!! Best part is that you go at your own pace. Eventually you build strength and the ability to do more than you ever thought you could. It truly feels like a family environment when I come in. Kristi always greets you when you come in! 😁 I have lost weight and inches off my body all around in 12 weeks. You see results in a month!!!! Great methods and workout sessions. I always look forward to class, I was motivated because I was ready. Great place to start on your journey to a healthier and positive life. Transformation Center Community is a fitness community like no other. I came across them back in 2014 at a time in my life when I felt disconnected; I was depressed and needing to start taking better care of myself. This community helped me to not only reclaim myself, but it constantly challenges me to get out of my comfort zone. I love the Sweatfit workout and appreciate how the trainers give individualized attention, whether it's giving modifications to the people who need it or challenging those of us who could use a heavier weight. Very empowering. I ran my first 5k in 2015, then 10k in 2016, and then first 1/2 marathon in 2017... indoor triathlon in 2018... I can say for certain that I never would have done those things if not for the Transformation Center. I feel stronger. I feel more connected. I feel more energetic. I feel more alive. I love the Transformation Center! It has help me get control of my weight and get and continue to get in better shape. You work with a personal trainer in small groups and its affordable. I'm on my 6 month and I've lost weight and inches and feel 100% better. I’ve been a member for 4 years. When I started, I had a health / life issues that kept me out of the gym for many years. When I started, I couldn’t do a push-up. The trainers are wonderful with modifications and encouragement.

I used to think I wasn't a gym person, but the Transformation Center changed that for me. I had gotten involved because I had won 3 free months through a FB ad. I had thought that after those 3 months I probably wouldn't come back. I liked working out on my own prior to going to the TC. But when those three months were up, I didn't want to go back to working out on my own.
I love the instructors, the workouts, and the people I see at the 6:20 am class. There's a true connection with the group and instructors, that I just couldn't see myself leaving.
The atmosphere is always so welcoming, and each instructor looks out for your well-being. You know they truly care about those they are helping.
If you're ever wondering whether or not you should come try a class, I would totally encourage you to take that leap. It's not so scary once you're there! :)

I can’t speak highly enough of the atmosphere at TC. Super supportive, everyone is very welcoming, and the trainers are on point with help during classes if you don’t know how to do something or could use a correction and especially if you need a modification! I really appreciate that 5:30p SweatFit is right after work on most weekdays. It fits nicely into my schedule and makes it easy to stick with it! No body shaming, just support on a journey to your best health - and whatever that might look like for you. Expect to pay monthly what you might pay for any unlimited boutique fitness classes, definitely worth it!

This place is proving to change my life. There are different classes that truly cater to what you need or are looking for in fitness. I personally am a part of the Killer Kurves group which gives me more support in eating and exercising than I would have elsewhere. It can be a bit pricey, but it is starting to seem obvious that it is worth every penny.

You can truly "come as you are" like they say. Truly a non-judgemental place.

This is a fantastic facility with wonderful trainers and programs. It is a place to find a 'home' at, with programs developing communities, accountability, and nutritional support. The free childcare in the mornings is key!
