Got the Membership in January. I cancelled July 9th. Packed parking lot and I saw many fender benders while trying to get a spot. Nah.. I’m good. I have confirmation of cancellation via email. I blocked my CC from billing, because history shows me we can’t trust these places. Lo and behold, I just got contacted by a bill collector. They continued to try to bill after I cancelled. Now I have to jump through hoops to prove I cancelled it. VASA is proof why gyms are scams. I cancelled PF to join Vasa and it was a breeze! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

I love Vasa! I made the switch about 7 months ago from another gym. It was a hard transition at first but then I got to know the trainers & they’re all so wonderful. I love Hailey’s energy & excitement for everyone she sees, I love Olive for her calm/collected nature who isn’t afraid to kick your butt when you need an extra push, I love Shelby for her commentary, I love Nolan for being the main 5am coach since it’s the only schedule that works for me - it’s early but he brings the energy & positivity no matter what. All of them bring excellent guidance for using the correct form. It only took a couple of months for this gym to feel comfortable to me which was huge because my last gym it took me probably at least a year. I really appreciate the culture everyone has brought to this gym for me to effortlessly show up to better myself.

Not only is this gym amazing and clean. Great sauna. I came to write a review specifically to shout out the kid care team. Faith and Nick deserve all the recognition. I use Vasa’s kid care 1-2 times per week and Nick is ALWAYS so welcoming to my son and I. Whether there are two kids or a bunch, Nick is so engaging and fun. I recently got to know Faith a bit more as I spent a few extra minutes coloring with my son and she was soothing a crying baby, and she was so gentle and caring. I always feel like my kids are in great hands in Vasa’s kid care, and to me that means the most!! Thanks to all the staff in the kid care. My kids always look forward to coming to the gym with me!

Very clean, Zaria was amazing, informative, & offered me a tour. Some stair machines weren't working but they have 2 rows of them. I would just go to RAZORSHARP or PLANET FITNESS. Equipment is always down, everyone is just sitting on machines in between sets on their phones, sauna and steam room smells like musty baby diapers, and you only have 90 mins for a spot at daycare, that they don’t inform you on when signing up either. So that is the start of my experience there.

I signed up knowing I was going to cancel my membership within the year and was told by an employee while signing up that there wasn’t a cancellation fee or contract for a year. While canceling, I found out that you need to give a 30 day notice and get charge for one more month. I remembered that I stopped the employee from signing me up, because he said the only way for my friend to get the referral is to sign up on my phone. This came to me because the manager informed me that I signed up on the app since there wasn’t a name of an employee. I’ll start with this manager sucked!! All she tried to do was prove how it isn’t there fault and I should’ve read the agreement. But in my head I am talking to an employee and asking him a specific question knowing I’m going to cancel, and if I was told there was any stipulations, I wouldn’t have signed up to begin with.

Now I know this makes no sense. Especially after I found out from the manager that the employees get incentives for signing people up. But after getting off the phone, I could definitely see a dumb young person getting mad that I stopped them from signing me up to make sure my friend got the referral. With that being said, I know it’s a hypothetical, but the current manager will act like she’s trying to help while knowing that she isn’t going to do anything for you. How would I have been able to prove the employee told me this information even if you had a name and I also told her I could figure out who it was… But from her all she kept saying is you should’ve read the agreement. Almost like it doesn’t matter that my employee lied to you, you should’ve read the agreement right in front of him even though the only specific question you had was answer by the employee…

Also after reading a few one star reviews, doesn’t sound like their employees do a good job at informing you about all the fees. Even when you don’t specifically ask about the cancellation fees. Train your employees properly or if you are intentionally having your employees lie for business, I hope you guys run out of business sooner than later.

A dozen different fees not disclosed on signup. To cancel it’s $25 plus an additional month must be paid no matter what. The SEC is suing LA Fitness for bad cancellation processes similar to this. They will also automatically charge you the equivalent to a bank nsf fee anytime payment is declined a single time without warning.

It’s a good gym but there are so many fees I came home for the summer and I had to cancel my membership because I’m heading back to school.

I wanted to freeze my membership but it can only be frozen for 90 days and there is a $15 fee to freeze it. So I went to cancel and it is 25 to cancel and you still have to pay for another month which is ridiculous so I ended up paying $40 to cancel my membership.

If you are looking for a gym to use long term definitely go here they have great equipment and it’s always clean but if you only need it for a short time like me go to planet fitness or somewhere else. All the fees really soured my experience.

Very affordable membership and childcare prices. I love the Bodypump and Red classes with Kay as the trainer. Everyone is super supportive and the classes helped me gain confidence in learning new exercises.

I absolutely love VASA Fitness! One of the biggest benefits for me is the KidCare they make it so much easier to fit workouts into my schedule without having to worry about childcare. It's such a relief knowing my children are safe and happy while I focus on my fitness.

Latrice is amazing she always has a warm, welcoming vibe, is smiling, and is ready to work with kids of all different ages. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it makes a big difference.

My son especially loves Nick he looks forward to seeing him every time we go! Nick really interacts with him and matches his energy, which my son absolutely loves. It's clear that Nick enjoys engaging with the kids and making sure they have a great time.

There’s a lack of information surrounding this company as a whole, my membership stated there were no annual fees, yet I got charged a $70 annual fee. Most of the reason I came to this gym was because I thought they had a pool and tanning beds because that’s what was advertised but apparently they don’t and that’s a different location. It was never specified to me that racine does not have these amenities. Not only that but the payment system is bizarre, a payment didn’t go through last month and I was never emailed or informed this instead they added it on to the next month and I was never informed. Worst experience.

I have been going here for about a month now. Generally I really like this gym. I am a very experienced lifter, I also compete in bodybuilding shows, and I have been to gyms all across the country so I have a pretty good idea on what you should look for in gyms.

Pro's
Price: Really cheap for the quality of amenities, you can pay $15 a month for just like base equipment and $25 for all the amenities minus the classes.

Variety of amenities: Steam room, sauna, basketball courts, massage chairs, redlight therapy, and fitness classes are all included with membership. I don't have kids but they also have a daycare.

Space / Atmosphere: Even when this place is very busy, the sheer size makes it feel less crowded which is good, because it is very busy. But I have been to other gyms where having 20 people in it makes the gym feel cramped, at VASA that is not the case

Staff: Really nice staff, they always welcome you into the gym, and they always say have a good day when you are leaving.

Weights: Huge variety of barbell, cable and dumbbell options. Huge plus this is amazing. Machines which I will discuss later need some work.

Cons: I really only have two main issues with this gym, and one minor issue

Very busy: During the weekdays, anytime after 4 you are going to run into a crazy amount of people, this is probably the most populated gym I have ever been too. Now it doesn't make the gym feel cramped, but fighting for machines is annoying especially since I have a strict program I have to follow. Be okay switching up your lifting sequence, and potentially waiting around between sets.

Not 24/7: My work schedule sometimes dips into really late at night and I do not like having to be rushed to finish my workout especially on the weekends.

Minor issue with machines: Overall the types of machines are good, some have pretty low range of motion like the hack squat, but I think the thing they really need is more machines that are very popular. I would put one more of each abductor machine, another seated plate loaded calf raise, another lying leg curl or seated leg curl machine, even another cable lat pulldown too. These machines are VERY popular, and I seem to always be fighting for one of those machines.

The gym has the amenities that one will need at a fair price. They have earned 4 stars due to charging an out-of-the-blue $50 "rate lock" in December as part of an "annual fee" that they don't tell you about in any clear way. The receptionist who assisted me kept telling telling me, "Well, I don't know if you didn't read it, but...". I simply accepted it, and moved on. It's ridiculous to charge for a rate lock to secure a discount; it nullifies the benefit of the lock.

Kind staff otherwise. Expect to be charged excessive fees that you are not clearly told about beforehand. It ultimately undoes any promotional discounts you might have signed up for.

My dad tryed to cancel they wouldn’t let him cancel (health conditions) without paying various amounts, 2 months and a cancellation fee I think maybe, hasn’t been there since December, kept charging until recently, after they kept calling, now bill(298.11) with a collection agency. He thought he cancelled, kind of feels to me taking advantage of a senior citizen, not working out a resolution, my dad said not 1 time they sent him a bill, want money for nothing. Kid care is only good for 90 minutes and they don’t explain any limits to you. I came for Zumba and I made a reservation before coming but no where in the app or did the staff mention you have a 30 minutes cut off. Now I have to be on a waiting list and miss my class even though I came 30 min early to prevent being late for class. If you’re joining the gym for the purpose of bringing your child in to work out I would not recommend buying the kids program. Every visit has been such a hassle with them and for this reason I’m canceling my membership

I have been going to VASA Fitness for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I also enjoy going to the classes. I don't know if I would go as much if it weren't for the classes. My favorite is the cycling/spin classes with Elizabeth. She is a phenomenal instructor. She motivates everyone that comes to her class, and makes sure they know what they're doing, especially if it's their first time. She has a different playlist every single class, and her songs are timed to the movements, so it's a very natural rhythm when working out on the bike. I just love her classes. I haven't tried all of the classes yet. So far, my favorite classes have been the Butts and Gutts class with Shelby (great Instructor); the Pilates class with Olive (another great instructor), and the Power Flex class with Hailey (another great instructor). All of the instructors that I have taken classes from are very positive, very encouraging, and really take an interest in your physical fitness journey. Each instructor has taken the time with me to modify my work-out routine in order for me to succeed in their class. I look forward to continuing to try all of the classes. I love that they have such a great variety of classes to choose from. It's such a great gym!!

I visited during peak hours and was impressed by how smoothly the gym was operating — there was a steady flow of members, a clean and well-kept environment, and staff working together efficiently. The team seemed well-coordinated overall, and someone I assume to be a supervisor, named Maha, was especially helpful when I had a few questions about the KidCare service. It is done in a way to insure you a billed another month. Paramount Acceptance their bill company is horrible to deal with. Super aggressive and rude. I would use caution! I started going here the end of Oct 2024. The staff is always friendly. They really seem like they have a good time working there. If you see something that needs attention, they will address it right away. It's not intimidating at all, the atmosphere is positive and welcoming. Even over the phone they are very kind and helpful. This gym sucks when it comes to handling your account. The staff will just hand you a piece of paper with a phone number to call. They can’t do anything related to your account but ad accounts$$. They will charge you over $128 to cancel in the end when the app said a small $30 fee will be aplicable . They have an option to freeze your account for $15… so billing stops for 90 days. Which is fine on purpose. Everything rid all done online, it can’t be done thru the phone etc with a representative. I think that for being such a big gym, they lack big on that.

I have been working out at VASA for about 2 months now and I love it!!!! I take the studio red classes with Shelby, Chris, and Maria and they push you for the better. They allow you to work at your pace but also have you get better over time. I have been gaining muscle and losing fat through these classes. I look forward to continuing my workout journey.

Hard to beat Vasa for the money. $45/mo gets you unlimited access to HIIT, Yoga, Pilates, and cycle. I've taken HIT and Yoga classes, Olive & Lisa are great instructors and I am glad that Vasa opened here.

This gym is very nice and the equipment is brand new. However, upon signing up for a membership, it would have been nice to have a tour of the gym (when I had a Vasa membership in Colorado, they were kind enough to provide me with a tour so I knew where things were located [i.e. locker room, group fitness, etc]). Also I wish this gym had towels for showering. Most other gyms with showers have towels for their members to use afterwards. It doesn't make sense to me why they would have showers without towels available

Staff is friendly but don't know what they are selling. I signed up for the highest plan available because I was told I could add two people to my plan at no additional cost. Not the case. I went to down grade and the supervisor who is no longer there because she got fired stated they couldnt waive the $25 fee to downgrade because of the wrong information given to me. Trisha was the girl who helped me. She was kind but was poorly trained. The gym is awesome. Wide open space with many weights,classes,and cardio equipment to get you right. The sauna and steam room is a plus.

This place has really big scam charges. Even though I was paying for the highest membership I was still getting charged even for the massage machines which is stupid? Tried to cancel and went onsite only to be told I need to pay my balance for like 165 anual fee plus other add on things even if I was on time for my monthly payment? . They also told me they didn’t have a manager I could speak to? Workers are incompetent.

Great gym for the price, lots of machines and benches, never feels packed with the open layout. Only thing that they loose points for is the restrooms, the men’s restroom always seems to be absolutely filthy and for only being open a couple months it looks like it hasn’t ever been cleaned

Staff is rude and has zero knowledge of customer service issues. I was also signed up WITHOUT my permission for personal training and they were going to charge my card on file $145. Luckily I caught it in time. They give you some scammy phone number not associated with Vasa to call to resolve customer service issues. This has been a nightmare since day 1. Sad because the gym is nice.
